  1. OK you talked me into it! :) Here you are: Download the Greek MANUAL v1.0 Link also added to the thread's first post. No proofreading yet, but I hope it's OK.
  2. Hello Gerritboom, Try running as administrator, or clean your user's temp folder and try installing again. If that doesn't work try running Command Prompt as administrator and type the following: msiexec /i <path to the installer>\Install_HAFMod.msi then press enter. Replace <path to the installer> with the path where you saved the installer. eg. msiexec /i C:\downloads\Install_HAFMod.msi P.S. Checked it out on the Internet. It seems some people have problems with windows 8 and msi installers, but the Command Prompt solution fixes it for them. Let me know if it works for you. P.S.2 You might also want to take a look at this on micorsoft The selected answer by Rowan-x86
  3. Καλώς ήλθες Έκτορα :) Yes it should work with DCS World (free download). It should also have no problem with other mods (maybe new country mods would be an exception). If you install a mod or update DCS World and it causes problems, just run "Repair HAF Mod" and it should fix them, without removing or breaking your other mods. As far as the manual is concerned, I wrote it in English to avoid having to write two versions. I don't have any more time to spend on the mod at the moment. Maybe in a later version. If you need instructions in Greek, drop by Lock-on Greece and we'll help you out.
  4. The Hellenic Airforce Mod for DCS World is now available for download. Links for the Mod and the Manual are provided in the thread's first post. Have fun.
  5. Hello, Yes I know that, but whether they are updated in real-time or not, is not relevant in this case. The problem appears when you: 1. Don't want the units to appear on the ABRIS at all (hidden on map) 2. You want them to appear on fog of war (visible on map) I think that removing dependency of ABRIS units from map visibility (and so from other components related to that) is a way to solve such problems.
  6. When the mission maker wants to use fog of war, the enemy units marked as visible on map are shown on the ABRIS. If marked as hidden they don't appear on fog of war. Maybe a tab should be added to the Ka-50 in ME, enabling the player to explicitly declare which units will be shown on the ABRIS, irrespective of map visibility. (eg. Something like Embarking: drop down list and add-remove buttons)
  7. An airplane (eg. A-10C) is given Attack Group tasks at a waypoint. The skill is set to Player The relevant module is deactivated (eg. A-10C) The mission is loaded, the Player's airplane is controlled by the AI, but it is not executing the Attack Group tasks. ROE = Open file, Weapons Free makes the unit engage targets, but not as intended. When the skill is set to AI (Good, High etc), the unit behaves as expected.
  8. Good idea. If it meets ED's standards, we'd have no objections whatsoever.
  9. Hello Geraki, The mod will be available for download this month. We only need the to do some final playtesting on a couple of missions when the testers find the time. Everything else is ready.
  10. Hello, Thanks for your interest and kind words. The single player campaign contains 12 missions, one for each flyable. If you haven't got the DCS Module used in a mission, it will be played by the AI and if it wins you will move to the next. Regarding its use on a server, someone entering without the mod would probably crash (because of the missing country id). If that doesn't happen he should see a grey flag for Greek units. We will test this and let you know.
  11. Hello, Lockon Greece made a simple mod which adds Greece to DCS World and will make it freely available to the DCS community this month. Here is a video presentation EDIT The links below are only for DCSW 1.2.x. Users of DCSW 1.5 and above do not need to download this. Download HAF MOD v1.0.6 [DEPRECATED] If your DCS World folder resides in "Program Files (x86)" (eg. some Steam installations) use the HAF MOD 32bit installer instead Download the English MANUAL v1.0.6 Download the Greek MANUAL v1.0.6
  12. Are skins for destroyed units supported by the liveries system? If yes, how do they need to be declared in description.lua?
  13. Red arrows point to the problem in DCSW ME, Logbook, etc.
  14. Just came across some Rafale HUD videos uploaded on Youtube recently. Rafale vs F-22 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4rNPouCggk Rafale vs F-16
  15. T-2 and A-7 for DCS? Those are my 2 most favourite planes. My dream comes true! :) If only 2-seater plane sharing worked in DCS... but you never know. P.S. The T-2 would be a great for an "easy" start, but modelling the A-7's systems at DCS-A10 standards would probably require some work.
  16. I've never had any serious problems with this mission in BS1 or BS2. I think the first time I played I got shot down by the hinds, since I can't see them until they are right in front of me (FOV - visibility thing). Some times I see their bullets coming at me, but I still can't see them! :) The second time I finished it without problems. Generally I select targets on the schval and assign each to a wingman by "Attack my target", so we all attack simultaneously. In addition, this way they don't stray away, but they return to formation. When they reported that they saw a bandit, I told the one who reported to "engage bandit" and I monitored him with the scval. This way I found the hinds and I could engage them too. Regarding the Su-25s you mention, I never knew they were there. Either because I didn't see them (visibility problem), or because the fighter cover worked.
  17. @PeterP Hey nice video link! I'll check it out tonight.
  18. @Mordhar Assuming there's not technical aspect to your case, the contract might not apply to Russia or Russian version, but don't take my word for it. Sounds logical and we all wish for that, although it's not so much about logic (or what seems logical to us... and maybe not to others) but what the document signed says. A short official (ie. trustworthy) statement would clarify any rumours, so end users and developers can know what they can expect. Not that it's too important anyway. Just being curious. Hehe I can't agree on that, but it could lead to a long off topic discussion. :D
  19. P.S. Has this been answered-explained in detail on the forum, or by someone with actual knowledge of the contract and not assumptions - personal interpretations (eg. ED team) ? If there is a constraint on DCS types of aircraft, does it also apply to 3rd party DCS modules? One question gives birth to another! :)
  20. @PeterP Ok even though your post is just a summary, so has a lot of ambiguity (eg. how is parts of code defined and to which parts as defined does it refer to), it basically says that the contract binds them for successors to Lockon (eg. Lockon - Flaming Cliffs, Lockon - Icy Lakes etc). If that's correct, they can release DCS-Su25A for example without needing a Lockon CD, assuming that DCS cannot be considered a lockon successor. Or they can still release simplified "DCS-lite" planes (eg. DCS F-15 lite), which is actually the equivalent of FC planes as long as it doesn't contradict the "parts of code" rule, without needing a CD.
  21. I don't know much about law, so this is going to be a silly post! :) If I understand it correctly, Eagle Dynamics cannot use the airplane types used in Lockon in any Sim series they ever release, because of a contract with Ubisoft? If they start a new company (eg. Pigeon Avionics) will they still be bound by that contract?
  22. Although I don't have much to say about versions of the Mig-29, Amraam vs R-77, western ariplane fans vs eastern airplane fans etc, I reply here because I was touched by the beauty of the airplane in 159th_Viper's post! :D The A-7 Corsair is a bomber. Don't let its small size mislead you, it can carry a lot of bombs! It is often confused with the F-8 Crusader though (also by Vought), which is a dogfighter that looks almost identical. So if you're looking for the "Last Gunfighter", the title is probably referring to the Crusader. Until DCS A-7 is released (pleeeease! :) ), I'll have to compromise with FSX: P.S. If you're referring to the A-7, then you'd better watch your mouth sir! :D
  23. It probably depends on the amount of accessible information on the helicopter. If it's enough to make a simulation of high standards then they could produce it. If it isn't then it's unlikely. Another factor could be the expected market for it.

    DCS A-10A

Wow thanks! You can also turn off the schval on the Su-25T and it becomes a Su-25A. But if your drivers are outdated, you can do it the other way round. LOPE MK82s on the F-15 and it becomes a Strike Eagle! :D

    DCS A-10A

Unless the A-10 in FC3 is of DCS standards as Demongornot suggested, I don't think they are really comparable. I wouldn't be wishing for a standalone A-10A if they were.
