I'm sorry to not have made this clear but I was only adressing the poster right above my original post.
You have tested the thing and gave exact reason of why you don't think it looks realistic.
That's a completely different thing compared to putting oneself in a "superior" position and even labeling everyone else who likes the mod as non-serious "console-crowd".
It's really just Badgers arrogance I commented on, not you mate.
I wonder why you even bother to post when you have nothing to say.
Don't like it - don't download.
I completely agree with Yeni - the game engine just made a leap to the present.
And it's not the nice sunset that does it for me - it is the way the haze and fade of the horizon now look much more organic.
With all the values turned on and a bit stronger values for the shadows even the ground looks way more lifelike.
The UHT carries 4 Stingers in it's default config.
Main thought behind it beeing the intended escort role in wich it would defend transport Helos against both enemy AAA and other gunships - not Fixed Wings.
I think it is interesting to know that the Bundeswehr rejected the chin mounted cannon because the GIAT AM-30781 was found to have far to much recoil and in result poor accuracy. So the footage of that Tigre doesn't show the most accurate gun the designers were able to come up with. A RMK 30 f.e. has tremendously higher accuracy and next to no recoil.
There will be a additional modpackage included in the final release wich switches the Su-27 cockpit with the Eagle's.
The EF will not replace the Eagle itself because they'd be errors concerning 3D model placement and pylons, I'm afraid.
As a texture man myself I can imagine how hard THIS was allready.
So hats off to you chaps.
But how exactly can one edit the textures?
Are they found inside the kabina.cmd?
And if yes, how were you able to open and edit them?
Yes, I'd like to know that to.
I suppose that you somehow managed to open the kabina files and extract the textures.
If I understood you right you "just" edited the textures of the Mig-29 pit to bring it closer to the one found in the Mirage, right?
The model was released in the german Lock On forum for a time.
It's down now but will be reuploaded in mod form in the near future.
Right now Tomcatz works on the two seater version and visual models for Iris-T and Meteor.
I work on the implementation of the plane and weapons into the game.
Right know the single seater is fully functional exept the textures.
But a question for those a little knowledgeable about modding;
What exactly do I have to do to add a new pylon to an airplane?
I once got it right and had all 13 weapon stations working, but now it seems to restrict the number of pylons to those of the original airplane used ( F-14 at the moment) meaning 12?
