My folder is DCS not running openbeta. Renamed got the same problem. sidenote I deleted cylance to make sure it wasnt interfering. The new install of cylance so far is not blocking any .dll but they were add to the global safe list.... Anyway since there isnt a list to deal with this I am choosing to abort. I will delete almost 200gb and start over. TY

I installed a new MB Memory and CPU. New Samsung M2 SSD for Windows 11. Number 1 M2 drive. The Windows 10 was an Intel SSD drive is no longer serving. The DCS Install was on a Samsumg M2 ssd and it was simple screwed in to Number 2 M2 Drive. Its drive letter changed and is now D instead of F. The Game SSD stayed the same. There was no shortcut being used but have since sent one to the desktop. Yes thats where the updater is located. I went there to run it since it hasnt run for a few months. lol. Im not going to upload a log and work hard on this if its rooted in a Hardware change. I would add to the Faq the Ramifications of installing a brand new MB CPU and Drives. Maybe if its possible ED can allow customers that have been using this software since LOCK ON some sort of easy process? TY

Rename " /Saved Games/DCS.xxxxx/ Folder " - WHERE IS THIS? I am not using Steam installs. Rename /Saved Games/DCS.xxxxx/ Folder, and allow DCS to re-build auth.bin Rename to what and what is the rebuild process? I do not recall using that process in the past so clueless here. I didnt get very very far in the spring with the new install. I got too busy. If its better I can run a full reinstall. Most important right now is Flaming cliffs and Black Shark 2. Thank you.

DCS Install from win 10 was untouched and on a separate ssd. Ran DCS and checked instant action mission and fps for 20 min. Ran no problem. closed. Ran the updater and loaded in the the current update. FAIL TO AUTHORIZE. 2 days until etc. Check cylance and find all modules dll blocked again. So I have tried a few times relaxing security of the PC and no help was recorded. Ofcourse this happend early this year and simply selecting to allow the f15 dll solved the problem. I just ran the repair script and so far with cylance uninstalled the purchased modules remain blocked. Even my Black Shark 2 will not run ! Very disappointed... Please note that DCS modules were all active and seemingly available with all security turned on...until DCS World was updated.

check for security blocking .dll have you contacted support? If dll get blocked this happens.

the 55 is most likely a very dropped dead model because logitech took over. just my guess.

I got my 1660ti super running OK on a 27 inch 165hz 1440 gigbyte game monitor. Its running BS OK but this card needs to go somewhere else.

So I watched this and took most of the advice. His graphics card is twice as fast as mine. I am running ASUS Z170 Mark 1 w/ 6700k Skylake with Corsair 16gb 2666 XMP with a GTX 1660 Super. Using a M2 Samsung 970 Evo. Display is a 43 inch LG Tv running 3840 x 2160 60hz. I haven't done much with the keyboard and have not hooked up the Saitek 56 Rino yet. Graphics look amazing! My Ram is maxing out so I have an install of Corsair 32 gb 3000 XMP going in soon. I will put up some results on how its running. I am doing this for any opinions on in game performance or graphics settings. Cheers \:

You are on the right track but here is what you want to live by. Start with the Manufacture and the boards support website. lets say ASUS. They will have a qualified vendor list of ram and the kits of memory that they tested with the board. Isn't that great! You will see the part numbers of the KITS / HOW THEY CAN BE INSTALLED / HOW A KIT WORKS WITH THE BOARD. So by starting with the Motherboard List from ASUS, I can pick a kit that will work with my board without problems. Your answer is on the Manufactures support page. If I stay with a brand of motherboard like ASUS and a brand of memory like Corsair then things will be easy.

Last I used mine I didnt like so much sticktion either. Im going to check some videos to see if some Solvent lube like WD 40 can be shot somewhere on the outside to compromise the grease.

That is good to hear. I think I am coming back to the game in a month or so. Did you use the saitek software for set up or just set up everything from scratch using in game settings. ?

The Problem is back. Its popping up alot today. Played around with Black Shark a few times today. Tried leaving a profile on in the green Rhino. Tried Cleared. Its still popping explorer. WTF? :mad: I got a clue this morning! I heard the windows connect sound for no reason. Twice last couple days. Checked event viewer. Found many disk # has surprised removed 1. It is the game disk that has been opening in file explorer window. 2. When the error happened this morning it did not pop open the file explorer window. 3. Drive is a Intel SSD S3500 enterprise drive. MB is a Asus Sabertooth Z170. Updated. Intel says a cable change could stop the error. Others have seen the drive disappear or the info not show up when the error occurs. I am not seeing that symptom.

I had to turn off the Antivirus program. Then it would profile and work! WTF! Support wants me to send screenshots after a week of questions. Never again. I also found out that I have to " Clear " the green Rhino in the lower right or it will occasionally pop open file explorer....in my face. WTF! ??

The problem was gone for about 7 days. It has returned. I am going to turn off " hit clear " on the Green Rhino icon in the lower right. The software is closed but the icon was green rhino with a profile selected. Maybe that was bringing up File Explorer. It pops up the full window so I have to click it to get rid of it. All DCS Software is Retail Download from DCS directly.

Do the profiles work in X56?
