Since the release of the "Cold War Germany" map, we have encountered a problem in multiplayer only:
The map loads perfectly on the server and in single-player (textures and buildings display correctly).
However, all connected clients do not see the ground and building textures (textures are missing or incomplete, despite normal loading).
The server and clients are on version : DCS World 2.9.16.10523
Hardware for both clients and server:
Server: i5-12600k - i5-14600K, 32-64 GB RAM, RTX 3080TI - 4070 SUPER, Full SSD (system and games)
Clients: high-end configurations, at least 32 GB RAM, SSD, RTX GPUs
Same issue with a very light mission (only one aircraft and no scripts).
No differences in version or patches between the server and the clients (on Win 10 , ou Win 11, same issues).
Tested after:
Clearing caches (fxo, metashaders2)
Running a full dcs_updater.exe cleanup and repair on both server and clients
Completely removing and redownloading the map on the clients
This issue seems to occur only on the Cold War Germany map in multiplayer.
On other maps (Caucasus, Persian Gulf, etc.), everything works fine in multiplayer.
Summary of the logs (clients)
No critical errors (no crashes)
No widespread missing shader messages, but some warnings like:
texture not found
render target not found
negative drag of payload
Ground textures are not loaded in multiplayer (float over water).
Hypothesis
Possibly a synchronization issue for ground textures in multiplayer (server/clients).
Or a specific bug in the Cold War Germany map for multiplayer use.
Network connection is not the issue (tested on LAN – same behavior).
Questions / Requests
Is this a known bug with the Cold War Germany map in multiplayer?
Is there an existing fix or a way to force texture synchronization for clients?
If not, can we provide more logs or access to help investigate?
