  1. actually they never said anything about high fidelity 27S, instead they simply mentioned 27SM and planned to release Flaming Cliffs 27 + AFM soon. I don't know which 27 Flaming Cliffs' actually is.
  2. announce it, take your money with them and disappear?:megalol:
  3. has just been posted
  4. and your point is? the software we could demand today (and finally made in the future) can be vastly superior the application you used... we had no real time fluid dynamics simulation done with consumer level hardware until a few years ago while T-1000 already appeared on cinema 20 years ago :D
  5. eh what? you have done what?
  6. and that is where you are wrong... if real time aerodynamics achieved then we can simply build realistic 3d model and we can expect the model to fly realistically without the need to create several separate codes for each flight characteristics. that is what they have been trying to do in real time graphics hardware and software world with things like physx; it's comparable to having motion captured 3d CG animation vs manually created 3d CG animations.
  7. are you implying that my guess is entirely wrong? is real time aerodynamics physics already achieved in consumer flight simulators? where? I'd love to see it.
  8. I'm not an expert here, but I guess the current coding is still far limited to predefined physics law within the game engine rather than something entirely dynamic like fluid physics real time demo we have seen demonstrated by GPU makers / physics engine makers. I guess it's still a looong way to have a real time physics engine in flight sim? maybe next decade? I would love to be proven wrong though :D
  9. maybe the flanker pilot don't want to or cannot risk gaining altitude, maybe the flanker pilot want to engage other target immediately after pointing his nose on his above enemy and launched a missile; who knows... but in such situations, as crazy as it sounds, the cobra manouver can be useful :D nevertheless I can't wait for the Su-27 with AFM module
  10. I think it can be quite useful for marketing purpose as it can be used to show how good dcs world really is especially on flight dynamics simulation, that can possibly attract more fsx guys :smilewink: for example in my country there is surprisingly a lot of people who just fly that boring 737 ngx, I say boring because all they do is routine procedural flying, maybe just maybe a dcs world demonstration with a fine jet like su-27 with accurate flight dynamics can seduce such people into dcs :D
  11. now the thread is about cobra...:megalol: the reason I asked about the ability to execute cobra in su-27 + afm is because I'm curious as to how good will the flight model be... I'm far more interested in su-27 than f-15 because of the supposedly more advanced flight dynamics, I'm eager to try that even just in a 'game' :smartass: and I think cobra can be useful in real life combat, one hypothetical scenario I can think of is using cobra to attack an enemy high above you after you sneaked from lower altitude. any idea when will they sell the su-27 + afm module? I wonder why they are not prioritizing that, su-27 + f-15 + afm is almost a guarantee more sales than a-10a & su-25... although I can see that because of the existing su-25t and a-10c afm already there so it's easier just to tweak and release the inferior planes afm.
  12. btw can the su-27 in fc3 do a/g mission?
  13. will ED able to accurately replicate Su-27 flight model? will we be able to do cobra manouver? are they actually serious about creating DCS Su-27SM module or was it just a name being thrown to fool us? when will the Su-27 Flaming Cliffs module be released? when will the DCS Su-27 being worked?
  14. I asked the same question myself and almost created a thread for it, I'd buy both even if the E came first but maybe I'd judge how much will they cost first also how is the quality of the E version first. however if we assume they are of similar quality then in the longer time I think I'd stick to the E version when flying
  15. there is also F/A-18E from Coretex in case ED is sleeping too long with the legacy Hornet project.
  16. I want that hifi multirole fighters badly, IMHO dynamic campaign is over rated, well designed semi dynamic one can be easier and faster to create and can actually more immersive. would also like modern graphics engine too
  17. hi all, finally registered on this site although I haven't tried/bought any of the module yet :D I'm waiting for the fast mover jets to be released first, even if they are Flaming Cliffs level at first (however I don't want Lock On). I have some concerns though about the DRM, it use starforce? even on steam?!? holy hell.... but atm it can't be helped so my questions are 1. how exactly are the DRM rules? can someone explain? 2. is there any intention from ED to remove it? if not can we petition ED to remove it? starforce is a bad thing, I've read horror stories about it years ago when it was popular, and to this day it has been remembered as somekind of disease amongst pc gamers, IT WILL HURT SALES and bring bad reputation to the DCS series, especially when DCS came back to the exposure of steam... also the activations limitation... another not good thing to have in this day and age of internet hype where this kind of DRM and limitation information quickly spread through the web. long time and hardcore flight sims like me and many here probably will live through it albeit having to suffer :D but those new market probably back off because of the DRM. Finally I'm waiting for the Su-27 FC + AFM and F/A-18 module, any idea when will they come? please? :D thanks, sorry for my english.
