Remember when trying to fly the DCS: Black Shark at high altitudes? Same thing here, they were operating at high altitude, the number 4000 was mentioned, I suppose that has to be feet and not metres? Edit: Quick google says Abbotabad is at 4000 feet. The "stealth" improvements were probably focused on sound, since getting a helicopter radar stealthy is pretty hopeless if my understanding is correct?

Good sale, I just bought the last three planes I wanted, one of them the E.III Eindecker, and wow what a nice surprise this plane was! I didnt know that about the "aileron" control how they worked on early planes, twisting the wing like that, a very cool new discovery for me. And it has no throttle control! Imagine my surprise LOL. Very cool plane. Wont be using it to fighting with I think, just to take up for a spin now and then :pilotfly:

Heart Broken cause of my warthog stick
Sticky replied to bumfire's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Get well Bumfire, and when you get back, do what others have suggested and keep your stick low and between your knees (No thanks hassata, no more "thats what she said" jokes, perv :P ) -
Yeah I noticed the Asraams aswell. Yeah saw the sticks, I assumed those were for if the pilot cant fly/land anymore, the WSO can take over the controls?? And that they put them up there cos thats where he will be to see anything when trying to land?? Never seen those before, just a guess.

Are those Brimstone missiles? The ones on a triple rack, looking like Hellfires? Makes good sense if they are, smaller blast, thats good.

Here she is, the female RAF pilot they have been sending flying over Libya:

If by one sided you mean showing only one side, I agree, they show only one side, thats not very strange since they are free to move and talk to whoever they want in the rebel areas, but cant move freely and talk to whoever they want in the Gaddafi controlled areas. The Gaddafi regime decides where you can go and who you can talk to, and follows you every second. So they are a bit limited in that way. Are they still biased? Probably yes. I believe them more than I believe the Gaddafi side though. And they werent completely one sided, they did include an interview with a Gaddafi spokesperson, check the second video.

Yeah, another fan here :)

Ok, thanks. Yes, must be, since you cant be ripped off unless you paid for something. And if you paid for it during beta, when it was included, you will get Nevada for free, so you cant get ripped of even IF you paid for it.
-
Why do you feel like you are being ripped off? If you bought the beta you will get it for free! Or did that change? It wasnt already created, if you had the beta you would know that it was far from finished.

Nato is taking over the operations according to Turkey. Turkey changed their mind about opposing it today, or it was just empty talk all along. One of the Typhoon pilots enforcing the no fly zone is a woman. Sorry no picture. Massacre in Zawiyah, now in control by Gaddafis forces: http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/World-News/Video-Libya-Gaddafi-Regime-Denies-Massacre-In-Zawiyah-But-Sky-News-Has-Evidence-It-Happened/Article/201103415958004?lpos=World_News_First_Home_Article_Teaser_Region_0&lid=ARTICLE_15958004_Video%2C_Libya%3A_Gaddafi_Regime_Denies_Massacre_In_Zawiyah%2C_But_Sky_News_Has_Evidence_It_Happened

A good decision :) But for next DCS I hope we get a new big theater, georgia is getting old now.
-
They say now he may have been shot down by his own side (the pilot was on the opposition forces side), so MANPAD could have been it in that case.
-
Looks much more like they are stepping up the violence than a cease fire.
-
Gaddafi forces are attacking Benghazi now, with tanks and bombarding with artillery and mortar fire. The plane that was shot down in those pictures belonged to the opposition forces. They say it was shot down by gaddafis forces.
-
The reporter didnt know, but made a point that it was very much louder than what they are used to hearing daily.
-
Tanks and artillery are shelling the city of Misurata despite cease fire. Fierce battles also in Ajdabiya and Azawiya. Very large explosions heard in and around Tripoli. The reactions sofar on the cease fire is that an immediate cease fire doesnt change the threat against civilians, reasoning that surrounding Benghazi and other cities is a threat against the cities civilians. The UN resolution from last night allows attacks on Gadaffis forces even if the are not firing on civilians, the civilian population being "threatened" is enough. @Topol-m: is this the kind of news you had in mind, or only pure aviation?
-
Gadaffis foreign minister declares immediate cease fire and end to all military operations, but criticises UN resolution. Yesterday Gadaffi said his forces would attack Benghazi by night, go street by street and show no mercy.
-
British Prime Minister has just said a couple of minutes ago that Tornados and Typhoons will be deployed.

I am allowed to make mistakes like that, English isnt my first language, I speak five languages, English was the fourth language I learned. Think about that, and ask yourself how well you yourself would do. You didnt know that this is an international forum?

Ok I get it, that within the transfer definition there can be two views (transfer of energy vs transfer of energy as a substance). I thought that you used the quote to prove that the everyday molecular motion explanation was the most common among physicists, im sorry, my misunderstanding :) But to make clear my own point: I dont care that there is within the transfer definition two different views, if one of them is the most common then that still supports what I have been saying all along, that heat is not the molecular dancing description that many others gave. To me the transfer of energy and the transfer of energy as a substance were on the same side of the argument, since I wasnt discussing differences within the transfer definitions. I was discussing heat as transfer vs heat as molecular motion. But It was my fault for misunderstanding what you tried to say there :) Yes please, its getting ridiculous, not fun anymore :D
-
Is this a definition we can all agree on? :megalol:

Here, I cut this out from the text you had linked: "...that it is the transferred energy, i.e., as if it were a substance .." notice the i.e. :)
