  1. Glad to see the forum back! What the heck happened guys? You had me going there for a couple of days! Hope everything is back to normal in no time.
  2. Yeah we use Hyperlobby from time to time, but we mainly use Hamachi. Ah,I remember the good old days at Jane's Combat Net!:( By the way Corsair7662,you'll love the F-14 Tomcats in the game!;):)
  3. Zycore it had problems with XP but not any more!;) I mainly play it on XP (although I have a dual boot system). If you read the article in the end it gives the Minimum System Requirements and you can see that it is compatible with Win 98,Win XP,and Win 2000. And also, for some of the new add-ons you only need the terrain files not the CDs of the game. Take care.:)
  4. Pilotasso if you go to the link I gave in my previous post you will find the download section of the forum/site.That's where you can grab the files you need. Take care.:)
  5. Glad you liked it guys!:) And also, you don't really need the CDs for some of the mods. Take care.
  6. Hi people!:) I wrote an article about Jane's USAF to present all its amazing new features. Here is the link: http://www.simhq.com/_air8/air_278a.html Hope you enjoy it!:)
  7. I play flight sims mainly, probably have played most if not all of them since the Amiga era. Although LO takes my breath away I mainly play Jane's USAF,especially the new versions of it(SuperPro 9.4 and MiniPro)both on my own and online. And as you said Pilotasso,Falcon4 is always a good choice. And some other(non-flight sim games)of course but I guess your post is mainly about flight sims so I'd better not go into that right now. Cheers.
  8. Funny stuff!:megalol: Thanks!
  9. Great video and nice music too!:) Thanks for the link. The skins of the planes in the video were amazing (and real at the same time). But I am not 100% which flight sim was that.
  10. Hi guys. I think I've seen this video with the navy pilot passing out as a back seater on a ride with the blue angels at youtube. Does anyone have a link of this video at youtube?I'd appreciate it a lot. Thanks in advance.
  11. Yes,it is a nice photo, isn't it?Wish I knew who took it so I could give him credit. Although the F-16 (despite it is a beautiful bird) isn't my favorite. See ya!
  12. Back on topc about the video. I am no expert in judging whether any video is real or not,but it seemed to me that this is a combination of videos.I mean this Turkish pilot was 'lucky' enough to get behind a Mirage-2000 and get behind an F-16 on the same day? Also,it is strange that the HUD shows the FUEL warning and the pilot continues to engage.I remember a Turkish F-16 crashing over the Aegean some years ago because of that exact reason. The pilot ejected safely ,picked up by us Greeks and returned to Turkey. And finally,(and that goes for all videos presented both by the Greek side and the Turkish side),how can one tell if the Mirage-2000 is Greek and not Egyptian on a maneuvres visit and if the F-16 is Greek or Turkish? Don't get me wrong,I am just wondering.
  13. I didn't mean this particular video.:) I said 'although sometimes some of these videos are fake'. I think this topic is the 'topic of all misunderstandings'.:D It's OK IguanaKing, written speech can sometimes be misunderstood and hard to follow.:) Take care.
  14. I wasn't offended by that Pilotasso. You or anybody else has the right to believe what they want and are entitled to an opinion,i'm not gonna judge you for that. And I said in an earlier post that you had every right to post that link/video (although sometimes some of these videos are fake). Take care.:)
  15. Pilotasso,Ancient Greece had a province/part that was called Macedonia (actually Greece still does have a part/province with that name) and this has nothing to do with FYROM (Skopje) who try to use this name and its history for their own benefit.
  16. Hell Sqn Protos,I can't really understand what your problem is;the fact that I only have 3 posts or that I am trying to keep an open mind and try to be objective and mature about such matters? I am Greek and I try to behave like one, meaning I try to be civil and show respect to other people.Unlike you who always seem to have this aggressive/arrogant/provocative attitude in all the forums you are a member of.You have become bad news in many Greek forums my friend and I happen to know that you have been kicked and banned some times. The topic is about one of the many dogfights over the Aegean, not Alexander The Great or the other irrelevant stuff you are trying to use as arguments. You've got to understand that just maybe it is possible and logical that Turkey has at least some good pilots like Greece has too. And what I meant by training (and you would have understood that had you been Greek) is that through daily dogfights pilots from both sides become better. And you should have noticed the quotes I used in the word 'train'. I apologize to the rest of the members for this off topic post.
  17. Oh my God! I don't believe it when I see this happening. Childish disputes about who has the best pilots etc. And the argument about Alexander The Great was off topic I think Hell Sqn Protos (by the way he was Greek,Pilotasso, but let's not get into that now). Again I ask who in his right mind is pro-war? Just because someone plays flight sims, doesn't mean he has to raise hell about topics like that. Pilotasso or anybody else had every right to post such a link/video.And he says it clearly in the heading of the topic,'New perspective....' Why do these topics about Greece and Turkey have to be turned into a flame war?
  18. Hi people.I'd like to give my two cents on this topic and at the same time avoid feeding you guys any cheap propaganda. I do not understand why some people believe that only one side/country has great pilots and the other has not.So Hell Sqn Protos I don't see why you believe that no Turkish pilot has ever managed to get behind a Greek's pilot six. Many years ago the situation was different as the Turkish pilots weren't good at flying over the sea but I guess that things are somewhat different nowadays since we have 'trained' the Turkish pilots well ! The whole dispute is childish in my opinion and I am sick and tired of seeing the Greeks and the Turks quarrel about the same stuff for so many years. Somehow we must find a way to forget our differences from the past and find a way to get along. It will be for the good of both countries as they will stop spending huge amounts of money on military equipment. Who wants war anyway? Take care you all.
  19. Hi guys! I am new here but this is a very interesting topic. The first flight sim that I was impressed by was F/A-18 Interceptor in Amiga(yes I go back a loooong time!) and since then I have played almost every sim that has been released. My favorites though are: Lock On and Jane's USAF especially the new add-ons Super Pro 9.4 and MiniPro with thousands of missions, hundreds of flyable airplanes, new weapons, flight models, aircraft carriers and so on!Online flying too!It runs on Win XP as well. You can check it out at: http://www.gulfknight.net/forum/index.php Of course Lock On is the one that feels really good and is what we say 'eye candy'. Take care. PS:This is a great forum .Great source of info too from what it seems a good bunch of people.Keep it up!
