  1. Just bought, and it appeared as available for download/install on my stable version, but it failed very early in the install process. Currently updating my open beta, which I don't use too often, in order to install this campaign.
  2. Not sure if there's some kind of programming barrier preventing this, but I tend to us this view a lot and it would be nice to not have to change back & forth to F1 view. I currently can't afford the Thrustmaster MFDs, which would clearly make this easier for the A10 / F16 / F18, but the Apache is coming along soon, and not even the TM MFDs would be completely helpful there, with the increased number of buttons.
  3. As stated in the title, instead of having to tweak *.lua files in Notepad ++, it would be very nice to have the ability to do this visually in some kind of GUI via the settings, i.e. the ability to click & drag and reposition/resize the various displays available in the Alt+F1 view. This would be very helpful to take max advantage of screen real-estate. Just a brainfart I had. I'm sure someone else has thought of this already.

  4. Figured it out - - Right & Left DDI size is controlled by adjusting values in 'ViewportHandling.lua' - I changed all values from 0.5 to 0.3 to reduce the size of these two displays - AMPCD size and position is controlled by adjusting values in 'AMPCD_viewport_cfg.lua' - I changed the values on lines 13, 17, and 18 from 0.5 to 0.3, and left the values on line 21 as they were at 0.5, because I eventually realized they control the position of the display, and leaving them alone keeps the display centered. In my initial efforts, I changed all values to 0.3, and the display was shifted over to the left, overlapping the left DDI. Might tweak the sizes a little, perhaps only for the AMPCD, but at least I got it figured out. Does anyone know if it's possible to display LSKs on Hud-Only view? Now that would be really nice. Anyway, in case anybody experienced the same thing, here's how to sort it out.
  5. A quick update I managed to adjust the size of the AMPCD, by adjusting values in the file called 'AMPCD_viewport_cfg.lua' But I cannot seem to find how to adjust the position of this display. Also, I cannot currently find a way to adjust the size nor position of the left & right DDIs - the corresponding files for the DDIs don't seem to contain the same adjustable parameters. In the folder 'C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Scripts\Aircrafts\_Common\Cockpit', I found the file called 'ViewportHandling.lua', which has the words '-- positioning on screen in HUD Only view', so this seems like it would be exactly what I need to make some adjustments to, but I cannot determine how to edit it to get the changes I might need. I will back the file up and experiment, but any advice from anyone who's experienced the same issue would be very much appreciated. Thanks Bob
  6. Hi Is there any way to manually change the size and position of the DDIs and AMPCD in Hud-Only view? I have a dual monitor setup (one on top of the other) and I am currently getting the view in the attached screenshot, which shows the view of both my upper and lower screen combined. Is there a *.lua file which can be modified to manually adjust the sizes of the left & right DDIs, and the AMPCD, so they don't overlap like this? Thanks Bob
  7. Training missions on April/May Free Access vs Paid Version? I took advantage of the free access to the Viper during April/May, and after a few days of enjoyment, I decided to buy it today I noticed that while trying the free access, the only two interactive training missions were Cold Start, and Taxi/Take-off Since I've paid for the full version, this has not changed I'm using it on DCS World 2.5 (NOT Open Beta) Do I need to remove the free module and re-install, or are the interactive training missions only available on Open Beta? Thanks
  8. Aerowinx PSX - 747-400 sim - screenshots Link to a collection of screenshots of the coming 747-400 simulator by Aerowinx. https://m.flickr.com/#/photos/77856321@N05/sets/72157629367177654/ I'm not associated with Aerowinx in any way, shape or form. I just think the effort this one man development team has gone to deserves some attention and recognition. The sim might be some way outside of most people's comfort zone in terms of price, but it's still nice to look at what one determined person can achieve.
  9. Look for a guy called Lyndiman on Youtube. His tutorial on countermeasures is pretty neat.
  10. Isn't that iControlDCS you are talking about? AFAIK, iWarthog is a reference app with checklists & charts etc and doesn't actually interface with DCS. But now that you mention it, I was having exactly the same problem with iControlDCS when trying to adjust radio frequencies....it got pretty frustrating
  11. Well, guess who just announced to the world that he's been using the quick-start-up shortcut all along.....At least I think that's what it was. But I do remember sometimes that sometimes when operating the wheel-brakes or rudder, the joystick would move. I was also not seeing any movement of HOTAS buttons like the boat-switch etc, which I now managed to get moving It does appear that my issue was mostly because I was practicing cold-starts and the flight controls don't move normally in a cold dark cockpit, but i can't help feeling there were some other intermittent issues afoot. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.
  12. Good day all I'm using the CH HOTAS setup (Fighterstick, Pro Throttle & Pedals) with TrackIR. I'm just getting back into A10C after about 9 months away from it, and have updated to 1.2.6 Update 3. I'm using Ken 'Ghost' King's profile in CH Control Manager. I've also added the HOTAS Button assignments in Options/Controls, as per Ken's instructions and saved the LUA file within DCS. A while ago, I never had to download the profile via CH Control Manager every time I started my PC, before using DCS, but now it seems if I don't, I lose HOTAS control when starting a mission. If I forget to do this before opening DCS, when starting a mission I have created, I have no throttle control & no roll axis on my stick but I have pitch axis and rudder control. The thing is that if I exit DCS and open CH Control Manager then open DCS again, the mission I created appears permanently broken, in that I can never regain proper HOTAS control in that mission no matter what, even if I shut down the PC, open Control Manager and then open DCS. However, if I create a brand new mission, I've got full HOTAS control, as long as I've already downloaded the profile to my HOTAS via CH Control Manager. But let me forget this one time  and that brand new mission I created from scratch will never again allow me HOTAS control, even if I exit and go through all of the required motions. Is this a known issue? For now I'm just being careful to remember to open Control Manager and download the profile each time I start up the PC. It's just that I never used to have to jump through all these hoops each time I wanted to fly, and it's a bit tedious having to create new m Simons from scratch each time I forget to to use CH Control Manager each time I start the PC. Does the TM Warthog have such issues? Thanks Bob
