I have some screenshots but how do I attach them to my forum response?

I'm flying FCS and A-10C. I found the HUD difficult to view against the sky. I tried changing color of HUD and increased brightness to max but its still lousy. I also tried changing monitor contrast settings but that also messes up the inside view of cockpit. So I imagine I'm not the only person to have this issue. Are there any mods that increase contrast, its seems that the world is washout!!

I'd like to use the Mission Editor to create some simple training missions for myself. I'm flying the F-15C and for a start I just want to drop some way points on the map that will be loaded in my ac nav system when I start the mission. Looking at the manual I'm not sure if I should start with Place Airplane Group? Eventually I'd like to add some ac targets to practice using the various radar modes. Would I use Create IP Nav Point to enter waypoints? Any suggestions or hints would be appreciated :)

That was a fast response, thank you! What other choice do I have but to have Target running?

Just bought FC3. I also have A-10C which is what I have been spending all my time on until now. Have the TM Warthog and Saitek Combat Pedals. I found a F-15C config script for my stick in the DCS download area. So my questions: 1 - In the control setup only the Thrustmaster Virtual Game Controller shows up instead of a separate joystick and throttle? In this case the throttle levers do not control left and right independently. Left and right engines are linked? 2 - I tried to map my pedal toe brakes to a control setting but there doesn't appear to be any brakes on the F-15C? 3 - I assume the FC3 cockpits are not clickable like the A-10C? 4 - I see that there is an A-10A FC module what does this get me that I don't have with FC3? 5 - I noticed that there are only 2 missions for the F-15 and one campaign. Is most of the action multi-player?

I have Warthog which I've been using with A-10C. I'm interested in purchasing FC3 but I'm wondering about use of my Warthog with the AC in FC3. I'm most interested in the F-15C. I assume that some one might have set up a Warthog profile for F-15C and some of the other AC. Can some one please point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance.

I have A-10C and I have seen a lot of FC3 posts. 1 - What is FC3? and why all the interest recently? 2 - Can I use my A-10C module with FC3? 3 - Are the aircraft in FC3 detailed sims like A-10C? 4 - I really like the complexity of A-10C but I'm looking for a less complex aircraft to add to my collection to change things up every now and then. What would you suggest? Sorry but as a new DCS enthusiast I find this rather confusing. Thanks in advance.

I'm interested in this also.

There is an analog gauge which displays the amount of flaps employed. For the speed brakes I haven't found a similar cockpit display. I'd like to know when brakes are at 50% for example?

Sorry about posting in the wrong location. I'll remember for next time. TrueView was enabled but I'm embarrassed to say that X and Y were not. Case closed.

Yep I'm using TIR. I have the friction slider on my TM throttle set up for zoom. I'm wondering if this is what is making it difficult to look around the stick?

I've installed the Neck Mod and I have to say it makes a huge difference. It should be integrated into A10C. I do have an issue however with not being able to view the NMSP which is hidden by the stick. Has anyone come up with a way to deal with this? Being new its nice to be able to see the buttons on the panel.

Thanks for all the valuable insights. I spent some time trying different curvatures, dead zones etc. For me and my Warthog TM I found that 0 deadzone and 0 curvature were the best. I also consciously worked on loosening my grip on the throttle. With these changes I was able to do a couple of ILS landings last night. Of course I need a lot more time in the pit but at least I feel like now the time spent will pay off. It is a truly rewarding experience!

I have the TM Warthog and have been working through the training missions and also the picked up the Maple Flag BFQ missions as well. When I try to maintain a requested alt and hdg I end up in overshooting/undershooting cycle. I have a hard time smoothly settling on the requested alt and hdg. I have tried tuning the pitch/roll axes so I have some curvature (30) and x sat 100, y sat 75 with a little deadzone as suggested in some threads. I have also tried working with small trim inputs. Not sure what else to try tuning wise. I'm starting to suspect that I'm just a terrible pilot :( I realize its not easy but if anyone has had similar struggles I'd appreciate your words of wisdom. Cheers and Happy New Year!

Thanks PeterP!

I've searched the forums but I can't seem to find any info on how to change the font size used to display radio comms in A-10C. I'd like to increase the font size.

My Warthog arrived last week. Bought it without having ever had one in my hand. I had watched and read several reviews. I decided to go for quality and I haven't been disappointed. I've used other sticks and they are no match for the Warthog. I think if you plan to do combat flight sims seriously its worth the extra dollars. Especially if you consider that you might spend less initially and then have to pay again to replace a stick that died. My 2 cents.

I'm a new A-10C simmer and would like to tweak my install with some mods. What is your must have: Sound Mod? Graphic Mod? Other?

Got it going!!

Unfortunately I'm a bit lost. I now have Autohotkey but have no idea how to map short and long paddle depress on the Warthog to TIR center and pause. Any hints please??

Ok so I have Autohotkey but I'm not sure how to map the paddle short and long depress to TIR Center and Pause. Any hints, please.

Thank you!!

I'd like to use the paddle as described for centering and pausing TIR. You mention auto-hotkey, I have no idea what this is?? In TIR I can depress the paddle and it is recognized but it doesn't distinguish between short or long. Thanks for your help.

Thanks JetlinerX. I did come across your videos and I have them book marked. I'm going to some book study first and then move on to Startup and your video. Cheers!
