  1. I am having trouble with MiG-21bis. I recently had to reactivate windows (8) and I also updated to Windows 8.1. After I had to reactivate I started having problems with MiG-21. I still have activation remaining on my serial number, but I can't get it to activate. I tried to contact Leatherneck Simulations and I just sent a trouble ticket to Eagle. I haven't heard back from Leatherneck yet. I have the error report, but it's too big to attach to the trouble ticket and I don't know if it has any information too sensitive for the forums. This was at the top of the report. [Error Information] UK: S4X8-484P4T-MJUYHS-XHVE4W-N3K3NQ-9NS62A 5.91.1.2; 3206; ES: 169, 175, 98, 99, 95, 1011C, 1011B, 168, 0
  2. Trying to turn on smoke crashes DCS. Will there be an axis for wheel breaks and/or speed breaks? Is the pilot torch/flashlight supposed to be off center? Also, is it just the SFM or does the C-101 really turn very well using a lot of rudder?
  3. This isn't working for me. I'm not sure if I made the trigger wrong or if I'm not setting the radio up right in the Huey, but I'm not hearing music in sim. It works in the ME when I'm making the trigger, though.
  4. Well somewhere between that and reinstalling DCS it's working.
  5. I should mention that I get the problem even when I don't have the profiler open.
  6. I tried that but it didn't change anything.
  7. It still shows the button in the modifiers list, but nothing happens when I press the button. Also the Mode switch does nothing.
  8. An odd issue came up recently and half of my control settings rely on this working. The pinky button on the stick (Button 6 in the controller properties) is not being detected in game. The Properties panel recognizes when I press it, the profiler (which I'm trying to wean from) recognizes it. Ideally I'd like to have all the inputs for different aircraft programmed into the sim itself so I don't have to alt-tab to change control settings every time I use a different module. I also decided to assign the slider axis in the profiler to have two modes (one in which it opens and closes the speed breaks and the other to do nothing so I can use the axis in sim). So what I'm trying to do is use the pinky button as a modifier which worked at first but now it doesn't.
  9. That might just be the problem. I'll investigate that when I get home.
  10. I've tried several ports and still get the same problem.
  11. I've recently been having a problem with my X52 profiler where it does the button command several times with a single press of the button. For example I have the hat switches mapped to number key presses. When I press the one for 1, in the brief press it does 1 four times. There is no problem with the axes. When I'm not using a profile, buttons work fine. I ended up reinstalling the driver and the profiler and it worked for a while. After coming home from work it seemed to work for a while. Each time, the problem comes back. Has anyone else had this issue? Were you able to resolve it? I'm using the X52 on Windows 8 using the 64 bit software.
  12. How to abandon steam. I'm thinking about moving over to the standalone version of DCS, but I have most of my modules on steam. What steps should I be sure to take when crossing over?
  13. Probably mentioned, ME-262
  14. Steam vs DCS store So far I've been buying my DCS modules on steam. It has come to my attention that there is a disconnect between the DCS store and steam sales of the modules. I can see that the DCS store has stuff earlier than steam which makes me want to pre-purchase modules. What I'm concerned about is if I would be able to use that module when I launch the sim from steam, and if I buy a module from the DCS store, will it not appear in my steam library? Could I download a module and activate it via steam? How does this work? The way I see it, I'm just going to have to wait for the good stuff to come over to steam, however long that takes.
  15. This seems to happen every time I want to fly through mountains. I'll fly the black shark a good ways through, but at some point the machine just won't generate enough lift to get over the mountains (even short parts). Most recently, I had a loss of lift and I couldn't get the thing to stay aloft. I couldn't pull the collective without overtorquing the engines. Is the BlackShark not designed to fly at high altitudes?
  16. Command & Conquer aircraft such as the Banshee (fighter?), Orca(assault craft, fighter, bomber, gunship) , Firehawk (fighter bomber), Venom (patrol craft), Apache, Vertigo (stealth bomber), and Harpy (attack helicopter.) I know, it's a lot of aircraft that would probably need EA licencing. Also: Mikoyan Project 1.44
  17. I think DCS ought to have at least one complimentary trainer eventually with full working cockpit. It would be nice for those of financial difficulty to get their feet wet (I don't mean fly over water) with a full on sim. Of course they could also go to the Falcon folks.
