Been playing the Vegreev campaign and some of the bad weather ones have given me a bit of trouble flying this beast. Especially getting into a stable hover hold with strong winds seems really hard. Is that just a case of trimming it out properly before engaging hover hold or is the hover hold just bad at keeping it stable in strong winds?

Yep I'd pay for a DCS app. Have already payed for iControl DCS, unfortunately it doesnt help me much in the Black Shark. I would love some kind of datacard / map type thing. Airport charts and ATC frequencies would be nice too. -
Well I suppose it could cause issues if your graphics card doesn't have high enough memory? Surely these textures take up more memory than the blurry default ones. In reality the memory required is rather low though I think so shouldn't be an issue.
