Hey Flappie, Sure, I have them in the "Target:" field in my shortcut to the exe. Check the logs I have attached here, you can see that it is operating correctly. Since I have been getting the same crash reason for every method (OpenXR, Oculus, SteamVR), I was a little careless with which logs I posted. In my most recent test, I did get DCS to launch using SteamVR. However, it did not run correctly at all. I loaded into the Apache and I while I could see the cockpit and my head moving around in the VR preview on my desktop, my headset was just stuck with the hour glasses spinning, occasionally flashing frames from in the game. dcs.20231204-014351.crash dcs.20231204-014351.dmp dcs.20231204-014352.log

Alright, fresh install completed. I am unfortunate having the same issues, I did try launching the game thru Oculus before trying OpenXR and it crashed for both. Not sure where to go next! New logs are attached. dcs.20231203-164635.crash dcs.20231203-164635.dmp dcs.20231203-164635.log

Hey Flappie, Haha, I did! Sorry if that wasn't clear in my last message, I sent that a little late last night a may not have been fully awake! I have DCS reinstalling right now and will try it out soon. For now, here is the list of things I have tried to do: Ran a DCS repair Deleted MissionEditor and bin-mt folders and then ran the repair I found these suggestions somewhere on the forum Launched DCS without OpenXR This worked the first time, but hasn't since Ran OpenXR in safe mode This actually got me in the game briefly! Allowed me to reset my OpenXR settings, assuring that Turbo Mode is not activated Tried changing my Paging File Size Deleted the regedit key as suggested by Flappie Symptoms I am having: More times than not, the game does not launch and just crashes to desktop If launching with OpenXR, sometimes the game will launch and appear like it is working. Then, I pickup my headset, and the second the headset recognizes that I am putting it on, the game will crash. This then leaves me in a black 3D space with the OpenXR menu floating in the corner of my eye. I can move my head around at this point, but can't navigate the menu. If launching thru Oculus app, similar to what happens with OpenXR, but in my headset I just see an hour glass in the bottom right DCS launches just fine in 2D. When I performed my initial setup with OpenXR, DCS launched, and I got it running quite well. I was able to relaunched the game multiple times, dialing in my settings. I then was able to fly a brief SP mission in the F-5. For no perceivable reason, the game started crashing on launch during this process. Maybe I enabled Turbo mode? Another thought, the SSD that I have DCS installed only has about 20 gb left on it (nothing else on this drive). Could having a nearly full drive cause issues like this?

Thank you for the suggestion. I seem to be getting the same error. I do think I am going to complete a fresh install of DCS and see if that helps. Do you have any other suggestions?

Hey guys, I am trying to get DCS running while with my Quest 3. After watching a handful of videos, it seems that using OpenXR is the best way to run VR, especially the Quest 3. After initial setup, I was able to get the game setup and running well with OpenXR, however, the game now crashes everytime I try to launch with OpenXR. I am using the MT launcher with the following in the Target: --force_enable_VR --force_OpenXR I will post the files from my most recent crash. One interesting note, it doesn't always crash if I launch DCS thru the oculus software. However, I then don't have access to the OpenXR tools in game. Also, I did find some threads discussing crashes on startup in VR, and they solved it by changing the Paging File Size. I did try that, did not work for me. While I have this thread open. How do I got about putting player aircraft on the edges of the carrier? Starting from ramp puts them in the middle, and I am not sure how to start them other than airstart

Is there anyway to pull an instant action mission into the editor? I have a couple things I want to change on one of the missions, but I really don't want to recreate it since the mission is 99% what I want.

In order to give you guys as much info as possible, I have done a couple of things. Since it seems most people here are having the same issue I really hope this helps. To start, I created a video that shows everything running on my PC, the mission I used, everything before the freeze, and everything afterwards. It also show how many resources DCS is using up via Task Manager. The freeze happens around 11:34 when I first see the enemy plane on radar. I don't believe that to be the cause however, because I am able to load up another mission, destroy multiple enemy aircraft using the radar before I freeze. I believe it to happen within a certain time frame. For me it is between 9 and 12 minutes. (Please note video quality will improve as it gets processed) I have also attached my dxdiag file, log, and the mission that I used. Really hope this helps! This has happened to me a number of times. I first noticed it last night when using the "Fast Action" missions on Caucasus. I have not had this issue with the Persian Gulf. I created my own mission with me flying towards an IL-76, once the IL-76 got within 100 nm, my game froze and had to be terminated. I attached the log file from that flight. It seems to happen when I get within a certain distance of an enemy plane, but it isn't consistent. I was able to use my guns on the IL- 76 in the AIM-7 practice mission, but the second I got close to the MIG-25, my game froze. My Thrustmaster pedals are not going to complete zero. According to the overview (RCTRL+ENTER) they are staying at about 1/3. If I hold down W and then release the brakes go back to zero. This only happens with the A-10. This exact issue is addressed in the A-10 FAQ (https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=67747) but is for Saitek pedals The only issue is that I can't find that key. Anyone know what key I should be looking for? I apologize if this in the wrong thread.

I have also noticed all of this. To add to what you said, since the update I noticed black boxes appearing in the loadout screen for certain weapons.

My keyboard is a Steelseries SHiFT, and my joystick is a X52. Whenever going through the start up producers of my A10, I have a bit of an issue. On my X52 I have the middle switch on the yoke setup to start the right engine, it does not work, the switch I have for the left engine is the one just to the left of it, it works fine. I then tried to use keyboard commands to start the right engine, it did not work. I then pressed F2 and ESC on my keyboard to see if they were even working and they weren't. So I backed out of the game then went to my controls. My keyboard was being detected and my middle switch on my yoke was being detected, just not in game. Anyway to fix this so I can enjoy your amazing game?
