  1. Back in 2011 I purchased Steam KA50 Black Shark. I was in-game DCS World today in the modules page and a free offer to upgrade to DCS World presented. So I downloaded the file and installed. I don't know the serial number or activation key if needed as I prompted to enter the serial number into the activation page when starting KA50 Black Shark in DCS World. How do I find the serial number and/or the activation key if needed? I looked in my email account and in my Steam account to no avail. Cheers, Siggels.
  2. Attached is a keyboard chart I created. As I have TrackIR and Saitek HOTAS and peddles, I've deleted relevant redundant entries, including snap views. If someone with creative flare wants to go and dress it up nice, be my guest. Keyboard Chart for DCS World WWII Europe 1944 FW 190D-9 Real.zip
  3. I don't have access to the closed backers forum, but I do have access to the DCS backer rewards section and have an account there. Every thing is sweet. But what do I need to do to get into the hallowed ground of the backers forum?
  4. G'day Devrim, Just wondering if it's possible to get a copy of the spreadsheet file for the keyboard image so I can you it for my various keyboard profiles. I take it, that it's a spreadsheet file, but maybe it isn't. Cheers, Siggels. :pilotfly:
  5. My mates at Joint Ops Virtual Combat Schools put me onto to this:
  6. Is there a program for DCS World P-51D that smooths out the rotary axes I use for trim and also the rudder. IL-2 has such a program called IL2 Joy Control, but I can't find one for the P-51D sim.
  7. I'll add my sorry-arse name to the list of backers that can't access the backers forum. I sent an email a number of weeks ago asking for help with access. I know our mate is extremely busy, and I'd rather see development in the sim then waisting time on me. But it would be nice to check out the backers forum though. :music_whistling:
  8. Excellent work. Makes my attempts at creating a keyboard map look puny. Check my website to see why.
  9. How do I backup the DCS P-51D that is install to the harddrive? I mean the one that's not a client of Steam. BTW, I backed up my Steam games. Also, how do I get email notices of forum replies? Cheers, Siggels.
  10. Finally, it works. What I wasn't doing was running Steam as Administrator. When I read instructions and it said run as Run as Administrator, I assumed that what was needed was to run Windows as Administrator, which it already is. By Right-Clicking on the Steam icon and selecting 'Run as Administrator' did the trick. I then followed the rest of the instructions and bingo I got a P-51D. Some of us users haven't grown up with computers. When I was a kid, the only person I knew who had a computer was the Mad Professor in Felix The Cat. I was thirty-four when I got my first computer, an XT. Although I'm now fairly conversant with computers, and other technology, I'll never have the nouse and in-born instinct to read the Y generation mind when an instruction isn't clear. So give this some thought support staff. Also I note that both my problems were eventually solved by forum members, both at Steam and at DCS. I think maybe these people are a little older and think like me, instead of the twenty somethings. Anyways, all's well that ends well. Thanks to all who contributed, including the support staff. Cheers, Siggels.
  11. G'day Skatezilla, Thanks for helping me out. And also all the other blokes I saw in this thread also. I purchased the P-51D from steam and it was working until recently when I had trouble with TrackIR. I had been customising my keyboad profile and HOTAS profile and deleted the default TrackIR entries. I tried to get it going but with no success, so I deleted the local files for the P-51D. I was hoping Steam would re-write them to the HDD, but I was still having troubles so I copied a P-51D folder to replace the folder I deleted previously. This was a backup folder I had copied late last year. I don't know if I registered the game with Steam. Maybe I did, because when the game first started after installation I was prompted to paste the key to the field provided. Cheers, Siggels.
  12. Thanks Mate, This did the trick for the DCS client (installed to the HDD), but Steam is still the same. Just to recap: The DCS World I downloaded last night, as well as the P-51D and installed to the HDD works perfectly. The Steam client hasn't changed at all, after following your advice. But I'll do it again for good measure and get back to you. Cheers, Siggels.
  13. Yes, RAM from 4Gb to 8Gb, and Graphics card bumped up to GTX650. But before that, about twelve month ago, I migrated from a P4 running XP to this i7 running Win 7.
  14. Thanks Fearless, but it didn't help. I've spent an in-ordinate amount of time trying to solve this problem, more time than a working man would have to spare. I also used the ticketing system for both DCS and Steam, which has dried up. I'm appealing to the DCS Support to solve this problem for me. If you take a look at my website, you will see I'm an expert of sorts on IL-2. If I could come up with a solution, I would have found it by now. So how about it, DCS Support, step up to the plate! If you can't solved this problem, how about issuing me with a replacement cd-key. Just don't waste my time any further. There is a limit, even with me. BTW, Joint Ops Virtual Combat Schools, with whom I'm associated with, are considering doing some training in the DCS P-51D. Cheers and no hard feelings, Siggels.
