They should call this thing the Confused Dyslexic Unit.. ;-) The crux of my issue is I can only search for waypoints when the AAP page knob is set to OTHER (all other page knob settings seem to make fields read only, in that I can't get the value from scratch pad into any fields w LSK's). Once I find the waypoint, I'm looking for a simple way to say 'make this my steer point'. You're right, it makes no sense to have to create a custom WP if already in the database. The manual indicates to set the page knob to STEER.. I'll go play around some more..

I see, so when you search for a waypoint like "Batumi" and it comes up on the CDU waypoint page, the only way to make it a steerpoint and get HUD / HSI steering to it is to copy it to a new custom waypoint and cycle to it. I guess my confusion was when you set the AAP knob to STEER and you enter a name or number on the scratchpad, you can't pull it up by pressing the LSK next to the name or number (as on the Waypoint page w/ AAP set to OTHER) because it is read-only.

How to set the CDU Waypoint as the Steerpoint? Hi, I'm trying to tackle the ins and outs of navigation. Once I find a waypoint in the CDU (either by entering the name or number ID) I can't figure out how to make that the active Steerpoint. Any help would be great- thanks!

Speed brakes and Saitek X52 pro Hi, It would be cool to have the small slider on the throttle of the X52 Pro set the speedbreak position. As the speed break control is not set up to be assigned to an axis, but rather a forward / aft switch, there's no obvious way to tie it to the slider using in-game options. Ideally I would like the slider to set the position of the speedbreak. Maybe I should play around w/ the X52 programmable profile software. If anyone has any suggestions, that would be great! Radio freq display It would be cool if the radio freq numbers on the front dash changed to the freq number of the entity to which you were making a radio call to. It may help the player keep track of where they sent the last radio call to, and would make those controls more than just static scenery. (Albeit very cool looking scenery ;-)

I'm not coordinated enough to click virtual switches when I'm going Mach 2 with my hair on fire (joking.. ;-)

Simple suggestion; a better way to cycle thru waypoints / ILS specifically cycle backwards thru waypoints. When I'm trying to find the correct ILS point I sometimes overshoot then have to go thru them all again. Thx! (As for clicking switches, if I'm in the mood I'll just play A-10C :-)

How to find correct ILS for specific airfield? Hi, I saw similar questions on this thread, just wondering if there is a good way to find the ILS for the airfield you request clearance to land on. When I'm nearing an airfield and I hit 1 to go to ILS waypoint, I don't seem to get the correct fix. Maybe this could be improved in a future update. Also, a way to cycle backwards thru waypoints / ILS points would be good (if not done so already; I'll check the control assign keys..) Thanks! -Steve

Wingman UHF radio freq? Hi, is there a specific UHF radio freq your AI wingman / flight will always be on? In the instant action the UHF is tuned at the start and I can comm w my wingman. Are there ever different freqs for this that would show up in a mission briefing? Thx!

HUD mode SPI question Hi, when I'm using the Lightening pod to target and then designate a SPI (w TMS fwd long), then when I'm done attacking, I want to go back to steer point SPI. So I set HUD as SOI and do a TMS aft short, the HUD SPI descriptor sometimes says IFFCC and I can't seem to get back to stpt w/o resetting a few modes. It's not a huge issue, I'm just curious as to what's going on when that happens. Thx!

Autopilot question Hi, I can't seem to get the autopilot to engage in any mode. My switches seem to be set for altitude /heading hold, I push the engage button and nothing happens. I studied the manual, nothing jumped out that I did wrong. Do you have to set a min altitude it will engage at? Thanks!
