  1. Hello everyone, i built up a new campaing SP for A10C in version 1.5.2, this is my first attempt to do such a thing and no matter how hard i tried i realized that it could be full of bugs. In my computer things work fine (more or less :) ) but i heard that there are triggers that go wrong when exportin missions to other computers so... So what i need is you guys to test it out, and if things work fine for you i will submit it to DCS user's file too. (for free off course) PLEASE NOTE: 1)English is not my first language so be patient for grammar and spelling errors 2)After i made all the voices with voice generator i repent and i decided to put live voices instead, but i was working alone so there is only my voice there, it will probably sound silly but ...again be patient. 3)I am not a military expert That said here we go WINTER CALL The campaign takes place in Georgia after a golpe that left the two major regions in the hands of pro russian militia backed up by russian military equipment and personnel. You will fight two frontes in 8 missions that will push the russian back and free those regions for the new georgian government. All of this is fictional and i have nothing against Russia ( to be clear :) ) Difficult goes from medium to quite hard (at least for me) and require you to have a good knowledge of all your plane systems Missions are quite long (1 hour more or less) You can download the file from here : https://www.dropbox.com/s/mpkle6qcesuf1pk/Campaign%20Winter%20Call.rar?dl=0 I NEED FEEDBACK !   2. Almost there Hi guys, i am almost there, just a little more work... Meanwhile i have another question: i have all the .MIZ files and the .CMP file in the same folder, so when the .CMP file want to locate the mission it looks into c/user/MY NAME/saved game/dcs/missions/campaign/en/... now i took a look at the .CMP file and i noticed that it looks for my actual name (giuseppe) so how would it be possible for you guys to have the .CMP file looks into YOUR NAME folder ? I show a picture of how the line looks like in my .CMP file. In other words can some of you explain me wich is the best way to save and pack everything so that it will be easy for you guys to copy/paste the folder and play ? :helpsmilie:

Hello to everyone, i am about to release a new campaign SP for A10C ver 1.5.2, i worked really hard on it and i am about to finish it, just few more days, meanwhile i would like to ask you some questions about the best way to release it. First : All the sounds and images are saved within the missions files correct ? I don't need to make a separate folder for them right ? Second : The custom loadout for the planes are saved aswell within the missions files or not ? Third: Once i am done, wich is the best way to share the campaign/missions folder ? Can i use a dropbox link ? Thanks for your answers :smartass:
  4. Begin Playing Actor has to do with training missions. Specifically it assigns the active seat for commands, highlights, and other training mission aides to use in a multi-seat aircraft. As far as I am aware it might only work on the L-39 at the moment. Similar to the "seat locking" actions that force a user to a specific seat to prevent "cheating" when using the IFR Hood in the L-39. And so So far i can tell this: Mission start condition time is more 1 works and assign correct value Flag on works and assign correct value Group dead work (but i didn't tes all the cases) and assign correct value....i will test other conditions later on....   6. Thanks First of all thanks for the replay, i know you are an expert and you did a great work on "the enemy whitin". So, i went to see some mission built by devs on the "official" campaing and i have noticed that they assign the first 50 points at mission start, wich is cool and reflect what you suggest me, and then they assign another 50 for a flag to be true. What i did was to assign a certain amount of points for actions to be true as shown on the list, for the fact that DCS allow you to choose between several conditions to be fullfilled in Mission Goals menu same list of conditions i find in the triggers menu. This may be my mistake, there is probably a BUG there, 'cause i noticed that even in the "official" campaign the points are always assigned to flag value and never to other kind of conditions. I will try to use flags only and will post the result if i find that this works. Problem is that the conditions are complicated in my missions so i probably have to rise or low flag x value according to multiple conditions and then give a flag y value = true when flag x have reached a certain value. I will try this modification and see if they solve the problem, i'll let you know.
  7. Adding infos To add some more infos i just discovered that i get the max amount of score points i set as player's score points. So if the sum af all conditions in my mission goal is 80 i get 80, even if those conditions are not met at all (ex: group dead...wich is not 'cause i quit after 5 seconds) Bug ? Or what ?....again thanks to anyone willing to explain.
  8. Hello players, it's a long time since i started to build a series of missions with the idea of packing them into a campaign. Now i find myself into trouble, beacause i really can't understand how campaign builder works. I know that i can give a score to some actions that happen during a mission, so for examle if this group is dead i assign 25 points if the other group is into blu zone another 25 points and so on, i always thought that the score determines the advancing from one stage to another (for now i don't want to put multiple missions into same stage). I was wrong; apparently i can score 0 ponits and still end up with 100 "value" that send me to the next stage. So mission GOAL has nothing to do with campaign advancing ? I read from (old) manual that less than 50 points get you back one stage, 50 points make you reapeat stage, more than 50 makes you advance....i ialways thought this was score points but no, i discover now i was wrong. What am i missing ? Quote : ...The mission will now be listed as part of the selected stage, and its mission name and value range will be displayed. Each mission can be assigned a value range which will determine mission selection within a phase... value range is what ? Because now i know is not Score range as i thought. NO I CAN'T only thing i can do is assign a value so to determine player's score how do i assign value to determine mission value ? In simple words: i have 5 missions i want them to be played one after the other if the player's score in each mission is more than 50, to replay the mission if player's score is 50, to get back 1 mission if the player's score is less than 50....how do i do that ? Or maybe i missunderstood all this and i am just adding confusion to my mind, help me please, thanks a lot !:helpsmilie::(
  9. Really ? Guys I don't know what your specs are, mine are good but 60 aircrafts on the sky doing things will drop my Frame rate a LOT ! Not to talk about the radio comm....wich will take forever to be processed....so my **ck may not be long as yours but i wouldn't try that. Maybe if you fly high and terrain is not to be rendered....but then you have 60 units in the ground....doing what ?? Again everytime i set up missions i end up deleting things that are not necessary to help my PC processing stuff.... I have a GTX980, not a Titan but quite good....and whit 1.5 GPU is what it matters....so have a try but i doubt :smilewink: Unless off course you are not running maxed out, but i wouldn't trade that for units....just my personal preferences...
  10. Hello world Is there a script or a simple way (i am not a programmer) to have text message sent to A10C system instead of the general trigger "send message to group" ? I am talking of the MFCD text message the one that you get when jtac links data to you. I would use that in mission bulding, it looks much more realistic. As always thanks for the support.

  13. 2x It's 2X because the this is the way engine calculate wind speed, it's not a natural phenomena, it's a computed one, so if at 10m altitude you have 10m/s wind at higher altitude (eg. 500m ) you get the DOUBLE so 20m/s until you reach the next layer at 2000m. I get confused by this too, and i slightly changed the excell program setting it a 2.2 coef. at 4000ft. But i still don't know if i did it right, probably not. "Blow wind blow...." Tom Waits....

B Crash Guys what i can tell is: not always but often when i land the game crash, when i quit using ctrl alt del, it seems that Windows 8.1 recive an order to press the "b" key repeatedly, any windows i open it read "b" pressed , tried to disconnect everything still "b" tyiping everywhere, i have to shut down computer and restart to make it ends. Anyone has any clue ? :helpsmilie: And to add more infos i remapped things that uses b and p, but still it crash, and it seems like it crash only when i land, after landing it does not respond to my command anymore.
  15. Is it possible ? Guys is it possible ? I run DCS on a brand new computer: Windows 8.1, Motherboard MSI H97 Gaming 3, GPU MSI GTX 980, i5 , 8 GB RAM, and yet if i look at cluster bombs explosions i got a bad frame rate drop....is it DCS or is it me ? And i don't even put the setup to maximum; i have no civ traffic, medium water, no trees shadows, no clutter/bushes, antialiasing to 4X....and the rest to max. I don't know what to think. :helpsmilie:
  16. Guys i don't know if it's me or what but whenever i try to build a mission i get crazy. Is it an impression or the editor is full of bugs ? For example UAV : Now what i want is to have a drone that pick up a target for me, laser it and move to the next target. So here we are i put a predator, waypoint 0 altitude 4000 i set him as AFAC i set him as "Invisible", and now i have two ways to do that and both doesn't work. 1) At waypoint 0 (initial point) i select Enroute task, FAC-Engage Group i select the group at waypoint 1 (BTR for exemple) set everything correct callsign frequancy and force the use of laser (No red line or problem with LOS) waypoint 1 is very near to initial point i ask him to orbit at 4000 until unit BTR is dead. OR 2) At waypoint 0 i select perform a Task FAC-select group , again invisible and all the stuff. Result : Sometimes the drone just fly away at high speed gaining altitude at random. Sometimes it doesnt. If i call him on proper freq i get always a type3 with no mark no matter what i do. Sometimes it says no futher task avaible..... If i ask him to FAC-Engage group in a Enroute task i get this shiny VISIBLE option to mark, if i mark it i expect as written on manual that the unit will have to see the target, again it will call a Type 3 with no mark. (note this happen to me even with ground JTAC unit, they just don't care to actually see the target, they call type 3 from far away.) So ok maybe drones are bugged, let's say i want a ground unit to move into 3 waypoint and designate each waypoint a different target in a type 2 or 1 engament. Does anyone have an idea of how to do that ? It is so funny the way things behave radomly crazy in my ME, are yours going berserk aswell or is just mine ?   17. Well, i'll try again but the strange thing is that i am sure i saw the UH returning home once, and then it get stucked even in a simple mission i setted up just to test these two problems. Anyway thanks for the replay.
  18. Hi to all , i have a x55 , and i have to say it's great.....with a10 i am not touching the keyboard anymore expect for radio comms, but..... But still i have to say the software for mapping is really not intuitive, it took a lot of effort to understand and map properly. And the mouse nipple is not working well at all. Still the thrust is so smooth it's now really easy to air refuel and you have so many buttons and rotative .... i like it a lot. No problem with the twist neither with the springs or whatever, the joystick works great and is precise is just a matter of setting and again setting is not easy with this product, it takes time and effort. So if you are not going for the warthog hotas and like me you dont want to buy pedals i think x55 it's a good product.....just be patient to learn the software.
  19. Well i waited quite a bit, i used the time compression too, let's say 5minutes maybe more....i could try to wait longer.....maybe that's the issue. I'll let you know. Does the arty needs to see valid targets ? Even if set to fire at point ?
  20. Go to dsms inventory page, select the station, load the weapon you actually have loaded. Have a look at the manual or do the dsms tutorial mission.
  21. Late activation needs a trigger , start time does not, so if you are sure that you want a group activated at any given time use start time, if it depends on a condition use late activation, triggers uses more cpu, so prefer the time over the trigger if it's not a condition start.

Hi , there are a couple of things i can't explain myself. 1) If i set a Heli (UH) to pick up infantry and then drop it somewhere, everything works fine but after the disembark i can't have my Heli going back to his waypoint route, it take off again from the ground and it get stucked hoovering forever, is it normal ? 2) I can't convince my artillery to "fire at point", if i set the fire at point order, the artillery doesn't shoot, i am sure i am inside the parameter of minimum and maximum range, i set an area of 500 or 1000.....and nothing happen, why ? I replay to myself 1) The tacan works only with the k-135 tanker and i was using the other one wich has no tacan option 2) Drones as AFAC needs to be set as AFAC and not as reconnaissance, and that was my fault. BUT....no JTAC works if you assign them a static object as target. They need an AI Group. 3)OH-58 needs to be set as AFAC like the drones So i try to forgive myself for posting stupid question in the wrong section of this forum and i turn around the corner to disappear again. :doh:
  24. Yeah Yes it's true , thanks. But this work only with the K-135, and i was trying to use the SB3 tanker (i think it's the name)...no tacan on that one and that was my problem. Anyway at least with the right tanker works as you told me, thanks again.:thumbup:
  25. Ehrr, so i try this way..... How to add a TACAN freq to a tanker in the mission editor DCS Version 1.2.10.something.... Please note that there is no Advance Waypoint Action that allow me to do that.....only thing i got is deactivate beacon.
