Hi, When setting the altimeter pressure also two triangular indexes move and on page 96 of the manual I found it is described what they mean and how they should be used. From what I understand they can be used to get the QFE for a higher landing place, correct? Reading the manual it is not clear for me how that should be done. Best, Marcel

Hi, I'm flying the training missions that are delivered with the game and until last patch everything worked well but now suddenly nothing is happening when I start the mission, no voice telling me what is expected. Like the begin trigger is missing. Somebody else has the same problem? Best, Marcel

Hi, I really start to like VIACOM, hard to live without it when playing DCS! What still troubles me is how to selecting a recipient works (with and without "use instant select"). For example with use instant select on: I take off at Batumi, select Batumi AM freq, say "Batumi Inbound" -> works ok After this change the AM freq to Kobuleti, say "Kobuleti Inbound", gets processed in VA perfectly (so understands Kobuleti) but in the sim it requests "Batumi inbound" instead and of course no respone... Whatever I try I cannot get it to request "Kobuleti Inbound", like it always automatically selects the nearest airfield. If I use the sim menus it all just works. What am I doing wrong? If I do not use instant select, I cannot get the select statement to work. It understands correctly for example "Kobuleti, ... Select" but then states in the VA window "awaiting additional input" and nothing seems to have happened. Should I say something immediately after the select statement? Marcel

Hi, I'm want to add a few commands to the aux category. Reading the manual I do not immediately understand how to do that. I guess I do not need to add them using the keywords editor but only add them to the VA profile, but how? I also read the section in the manual on how to update the VA profile when you use the keyword editor but I do not completely understand what to do. Which command in the VA profile do I need to select to replace "when I say" part? Thanks! Marcel

Hi, I bought VIACOM yesterday and cannot get it to work. I have only an upgraded 1.5 beta to 2.5 installed. I installed VIACOM after the upgrade. The voicecommands are recognized but nothing is happening. Like some people mentioned above in the PTT page it always shows default, not the module. I ran in the debug mode and to me nothing seems wrong (see below the message). Any ideas? VoiceAttack running as admin btw. Hi, Let me start by saying this is by far the best campaing I have ever played, payware included! Lot's of fun and imersion, really briljant to combine training and story like this! I have one question, at the start of the mission you are remembered a few times to set the altitude for each waypoint as this is not done automaticaly (which I new). But what use is this, apart from serving as a reference? As far as I'm aware it has no use in displaying the waypoints or for weapon employment, or am I missing somthing? Thanks! Huppel

Just tried one mission, but it seems to be fixed in todays patch!

I have the problem as well, also magnetic compass is off so looks like a problem with magnetic variation. Tried a repair but that did not help. One other question, do more people have severe stutters in 1.5.6 (several seconds)? For example just when looking around the cockpit.

Hi, Realy having fun playing the training missions! In mission 9, guns, the K1/K2 switch is mentioned just like in the manual. I can only get K2 mode selected and have to select A-A gun using the HOTAS bind. Of course I understand the plane is still in beta so it could be that or perhaps it is supposed to work like that, I thought I just report it as it might be confusing. Best, Huppel

Realy like these training missions! Best of any module so far. The one thing I don't understand from the third training mission is the "course to waypoint" part. I do everything as told, I succeed in setting the course and press the RD button but nothing seems to change. How is this supposed to work? Should the waypoint indicator in the HUD change? How is it indicated what route I should fly to get on the indicated virtual radial? Best, Huppel

Hi, I'm learning this aircraft and it is great fun! Now I was trying the police light (and yes I'm aware I need to both set a cockpit switch and bind a hotas button to enable it) but it does not seem to work. Can you only see it when it reflects on another aicraft perhaps? I'm now on the ramp looking if somewhere a light goes on (in darkness). Using version 1.5.5.60565 by the way. And just out of curiousity: why can you turn the clock in a different angle? It seems it is perfectly readable in both angles. Best, Huppel

No problem, I have it resolved already! The damage report is not a report to me but an instruction to me to report the damage via an comms F10 command! Haha missed that! Perhaps for other players it would be helpfull to add that to the message (something like "report via F10 comms menu"). Thanks for responding. Up to the next mission! Best, Huppel

Hi, Got into trouble again, tried mission "Day Off" now for the third time. Got to the point where I'm instructed to destroy the cars. I succeed in doing that and get a report that the cars are destructed but after that only silence and no instructions any more. Got back via the route that is in the briefing and landed but mission was not a success. Am I supposed to do something special after the cars are destructed? This is getting a bit frustrating... Okay resolved. I guess the message is a bit unclear, "any gates" is intended to be "at least one". The route is rather unclear just before the mountain ridge, here you have a very hard turn to the left but there is no smoke or voice message to indicate that. So it is easy to miss the red smoke on top of the ridge.

Thanks, that helped, completed the mission now! Now I have a problem with the next mission "under the gun" (maybe I'm just not good at this ;-) ). I have tried twice and everything is looking good (I get praised and I'm ahead of my component) but when I pass the finish I get the message that I did not went through any of the gates. Did I perhaps not fly low enough (I'm flying way lower than my oponent) or am I doing something else wrong? Best, Huppel

Hi, Thanks for the info! I first made some changes to my monitor, it had a gamma 1,2,3 and off setting and I turned it off. That helped a bit but not enough. Then I adjusted the gamma slider in the NVidea settings and with that I can get it as bright as needed. Now the question is how do I "calibrate" this, what should it look like? I now set it so that I can barely see the water (1.2), guess that is about right. I attached a screenshot to give you an idea (but that might also depend a bit on the settings used to view it I guess :)) Best, Huppel

Hi, As I'm preparing for the DLC campaign I'm playing the stock campaign and I've made it to mission 10, city river run. Now my problem with this mission is that it is so dark I cannot see where to fly at all, it is just black. The introduction picture shows that there should be some moonlight. Should I use my night vision goggles (feels like cheating) or are my DCS settings off (cannot find a way to influence this, like a gamma setting)? Thanks! Huppel
