  1. Thanks for asking. There are many CAM programs you can use. It should be very easy to import a stp. and then export to G-code to use with Mach 3 Think I will use the program ArtCAM to create my G-Code or HSM express for inventor. -Lars
  2. I said I was going to release the plans at the end of last week but I was sent to Poland for work and are working 12 hours shifts. I only have some hours in the Hotelroom after work, working on these panels before going to bed... But the Left side console is very soon ready guys. After I release the drawings I will continue updating and improve the panels from your feedback. So please give me some so I can continue improve the panels. -Lars
  3. Here is a sneak peak of part of the left console. The plans for the whole left and right console should be finished this week.
  4. It should not be a problem.
  5. Its been a long time since my last post. I am close to finish my 6DOF simulator platform, and I have also been working on the left and right console. The panels have been totaly redone with the correct panel dimensions matching the dzus standard If I am productive the left and right console will be finished around next week. I even think deadman will be impressed by these panels. All panels will be released in stp. and dwg. or any other format requested. Kind regard. Lars
  6. Thanks for asking Deadman ATM. I'm building a 6DOF motion simulator for my cockpit, so the panels are put on a short hold. The left console is "ready". The panel size should be close to perfect, but I'm not sure about the text font and the position of the holes are 100% accurate. But they are as good as they can be with the information I got to work with. But there is so many good projects going on ATM. that I really don't see the need for my drawings. When you are releasing your project, there is no need for the drawings I am creating, since yours are close to or 100% accurate. -Lars
  7. Yes I am. I would say the panels on the left side should be "ready" this week. Hopefully people will keep give me feedback so I can make the panels close to the real thing as possible. -Lars
  8. I gues this thread is dead or is it stil up deadman?
  9. Sure they are! If I got the time for it, they should be ready with holes and text ready for the CNC around next week. Part of right and left side panels.rar
  10. You got some more suggestions agrasyuk? Here are most of the panels of the right and left console. There is some missing. These should be 100% accurate to Dzus railings and the real panels. Shout out if you guys see some mistakes, and I will fix them. Now that the size is accurate I will continue on holes for toggles and rotary's, text and details. If you guys want to use my finished models, shout out what format you want me to upload them in. -Lars
  11. This should be very close to the real thing.
  12. At the moment I am rebuilding all my panels to real dimensions. I found a very interesting document/post about Dzus standard and will adjust my panels to match it. So if all goes to plan, all the panels (left and right console) will have the accurate dimensions. For people making their own panels, this attached document is a very nice and informative read. -Lars Panelbuildingfocussedondimensions.pdf
  13. Here is some close to finished DWG & STEP. files of the CDU. Need to figure out what display to use and make room for it on the backside. Make a back-plate and a "platform" for the keys. -Lars STEP&DWG CDU FILES.rar
  14. Thank you so much Boltz! Lets see what I can do with the correct dimensions, I will post a picture when done.
  15. Can anyone help me out with an angle and a distance shown in the picture below?
  16. Done some changes on the height of the center modules on the main instrument panel, also showing some more progress and adjustments. Feel free to look into the cad files. My plan is to get this CNC ready in about a month, still allot of work to be done. -Lars MAIN INSTRUMENT PANEL.rar
  17. Thought I would give you guys an update on the main instrument panel.
  18. Put together some rough work of the day. Trying to sew together some kind of center panel. Think Im getting there, or close to the dimensions I'm happy with. Will release the CAD files when some more progress is done. All feedback, pros and cons are appreciated! -Lars
  19. I will later today, together with the center panel. Again, the panels released so far is wip.
  20. Bucic: Yes I'm using parametric modeling. It will be easy for me to change dimensions etc, if people give me inputs. Sorry for the late reply.
  21. Thanks for the feedback, will look into it! Dont know if the real one is, but I have decided to make the CDU out of alu. Need it to be robust :)
  22. Nice work! You got a link for the switches your are using ?
  23. Started on the CDU! Adjustments need to be done and some details are missing, also think I need to make the buttons smaller... What do you guys think ? CDU.rar
  24. Thank you very much. Autodesk Inventor is the program I am using. My goal is not to be the only one benefiting from these drawings/models. I will also make DWG. files for those who want to create or modify the panels to their own needs.
  25. The CDU with keys will most likely be done today. All the panels that are shown in this thread (so far) are not 100% finished or true to the original panels. But I am doing my best to recreate them as good as possible with the information I got. Again, all feedback and help from you guys are very appreciated! - Lars
