  1. New issue for me. Installed the latest stable Simshaker for aviators (2.80?) and now it won't start. Andre's sound module works fine. The SSA pop up window for startup options flashes for a split second on screen and then nothing. Get a string of "UDP Port 29375 blocked" when I start DCS. Any ideas for a fix would be much appreciated! OK...that seems to have resolved itself but now my license info for Andre's module has been lost so it didn't work. Wierd! Luckily I saved the activation key. I will leave this up in case it happens to anyone else.
  2. I am hoping Andre will update SSA for both the CH47 and the F4....hint, hint!
  3. CH47 shows ready to install in Mod Manager but button will not work. Any suggestions beyond running a Clean/Repair (done)? Thanks!
  4. I think Walsh's idea is a good one. If we can lock out cheaters from using textures as an exploit might want to look at Barthek's great textures for Normandy map as well.
  5. Installed and tested. Found that narrowing the IPD on my Reverb G2 cleared up my view and expanded the sweet spot in the center of the lenses. I did not actually switch anything in the tweaker (tried flipping up/down on both eyes but no effect). Also did not test changing lens settings (in/out etc) since the narrower IPD was so much better.
  6. Is this fix still needed or have recent DCS updates fixed the issue? Thanks!
  7. I have a different problem. The reticle and distance setting no longer seem to work via the controls listed eg . and ; nor will they work if I assign a keybind. Anyone else have that problem??
  8. Here is the event report...it is the DX renderer. I ran DXSetup from the game folder and it did seem to update but no fix. Description: Faulting application name: Launcher.exe_DCS, version: 1.2.14.35734, time stamp: 0x548c8748 Faulting module name: DXRenderer.dll, version: 1.2.14.35734, time stamp: 0x548c81e0 Exception code: 0xc0000005 Fault offset: 0x000000000002531b Faulting process id: 0x19c8 Faulting application start time: 0x01d033511498cb5d Faulting application path: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin\Launcher.exe Faulting module path: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\bin\DXRenderer.dll Report Id: 554f7cfb-9f44-11e4-aee7-5404a6c0252c Any ideas?? I have turned the JSGME mods on and off to no effect. Cheers! B
  9. Did you ever figure this out? I have run a repair and latest update which seemed to work but now DCS world get to 10% on the loading screen and then crashes. Multiplayer launcher and game still work. Anyone have a fix? B
  10. I will be around for F86 missions in the evening Pacific Time weekdays and some weekend afternoons. Cheers! Biggs
  11. I don't have the 109 sound mod...just the Dora and P51....but still have the taxiing noise. Will try shutting done the ones I have anyway. Re the brakes...is the slider check box just the one that puts controls on the pedals? Then one sets the curve? Thanks! Biggs
  12. Help! I have tried creating all of these directories with no success. Does a new description.la file have to go somewhere else perhaps? Cheers! B
  13. Following Skate's instructions, here is what finally worked for me to properly update from 30996 to the latest: 1) get to DOS command screen and run Updater.exe install WORLD (takes about 7 minutes, be patient) 2) run DCS update via Windows Start/Programs/Eagle Dynamics/DCS Update (quick) 3)run DCS repair via Windows Start....DCS Repair (about 5 minutes and updates runtime files). Now all modules work. Never installed SU25 training so can't speak to that and run no 3rd party mods or campaigns. Hope this helps.
