After the update it seams my ground textures are higher than they used to be(with resultant loss in my FPS). I only have access to LOW and HIGH for ground textures as well (didn't there used to be a MEDIUM?). Is this intended or a bug?

Just reformated my system, reinstalled DCS and it runs fine but Tacview 1.7.0 will not install. I am getting the following error message: Install Failed Please ensure that you have enough access rights and free disk space before contacting the software manufacturer for assistance. I did have windows change the location of my user,my saved games,apps folders to a drive other than C (D in my case). I read about someone else having a similar problem but they had a previous install that worked for them.

I agree. My favorite aircraft sim manual for ease of learning has to be the one for Falcon BMS.

Manual has what all the buttons do. I have noticed no difference using it vs not against AI. I can't get it to auto dispense and it never gives me indicator on enemy radar lock, either.

Easiest way to reckon the real AOA vs indicator, I would figure, would be to simply fly at specific AOA at 0 vertical airspeed as fast as you need and recording attitude angle above horizon and comparing to the AOA indicator.

Most interesting. Especially with how much lower than other aircraft you will want to fly to keep aircraft in your radar.

I think a lot of it has to do with the canopy. If I go to external view I can instantly see other aircraft, I go back to internal and turns super difficult/impossible to see.

Anyone know exactly how much drag you are getting depending on AOA at given altitude/speed?

I am pretty sure I did everything as the manual and the training mission instructed and have the same issue. I use RSBN for everything because of it. Guess I am going to try using them with the new patch.

To see other aircraft and even ground objects at a distance. Any specific graphic settings that do well with the view from inside the MiG's windshield. When I zoom in I notice a lot of dirt that often catches my eye. I've been fiddling with graphics settings a bit but to no real avail. I hate it when I let myself use the labels.
