  1. Well that probably should be fixed before the new damage model or else it's just pointless to take it seriously for any play. Hopefully ground stuff will also be done right where if you kill a unit without exploding it, it will take a lot more ammo to make it explode prior it explodes on it's own.
  2. ^^ Sorry this thread is not about the catapult launching or not, It did launch for me, I only managed to get 1 launch before trial was over, I don't have F14 anymore.
  3. Hi This one may be disregarded because for some performance testing I was injecting DXVK as well as Radeon GPU Profiler was loaded when this crash happened. But still perhaps it may not be their fault so I decided to post it anyway. The error reporter and the game crashed after I was reviewing the log package so I couldn't send it automatically. I fell asleep in the ME editor and it was left open for 8 hours idling, saw the crash message when I woke up. There was only 1 unit in caucasus fresh map, CVN Stennis aircraft carrier, zoomed into it, idling. dcs.log-ME-crash-idle-stennis-DXVK-RGP-20200324-022013.zip
  4. Announcer thinks I destroyed the target, while only slightly damaging it with only a few hits for the first time.
  5. I crashed into the sea and the announcer said I landed successfully. When I landed on the carrier later the announced said nothing.
  6. When unpause happens, it's the other way around the anti-pause actually happens, spawning the target behind the player.
  7. When training says you have to tell the RIO to align INS via the "A" intercom menus (or how is it called again) then the INS Align Fine is on the number 5 I think but the announcer says to press LCtrl+4 (or it's on the 4 but he says 3) anyway, the numbers don't match, it's a minor thing to nothing that big.
  8. It happens when I turn on air supply.
  9. FC3 really is on it's own thing in DCS and Airbrake is consistent among the FC3 ones so I didn't want to put that on the spot, but yeah I'm aware. Great idea there about UHF/VHF prefixes.
  10. Also "Open the emergency wing sweep cover" is silent.
  11. Needles worked for me, but when set to 0 graphically lined up with camera at the proper angle, the Controls Indicator overlay trip marker was way up and to the left, I forgot to take a screenshot, I'll do it later perhaps.
  12. The announcer is silent for a short message about catapult 3 before the instructions to line up.
  13. I was thinking for reproting this, but yeah this is Early Access, good to know it's simlpy not implemented, but hey BITs usually don't need to be that realistic, it just looks like a bug when there is no light when the Training Announcer says so.
  14. Hi F-16C now keeps training messages on all the time compared to past modules like A-10C F-14B could follow suit, thanks!!! This is very annoying, they disappear so fast. EDIT: This would heavily put off newcomers, I have the nerve to stay and do some testing while I have the trial, having to restart the mission and be in dillema. In the landing mission I saw the message box disappears even before the announcer finished talking.
  15. I can't figure it out whether it's designed or not ... as if it's being beamed down for the pilot to see or what?
  16. I can't seem to figure it out ... I'm totally new to F-14B tho, and only for 2 day trial run.
  17. And the yelow shine is misplaced. There doesn't seem to be a DATA/ADF control option either. Thankfully this switch is not requried, after unstowing the standby ADI, it continued.
  18. Blows up while parked cold, stock night mission From jet exhaust from nearby planes??? No idea Don't have it anymore, F-16 trial has ended.
  19. Update: This is not the first time I looked at the F10 AWACs view, I found the old thread now that I was referring to: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3161931 In the old days the HDD slowness may be the problem, but once loaded into RAM (and then cached in standby memory) the disk issue would go away, but the lag remained, well it's also CPU/GPU related as we can see. TLDR: This is just informational for players wondering about this lag, it's not your PC fault and not much end-user (or even devs in short term) can do about it except having a better CPU with much better single-core perf ---> wait for DCS Vulkan API/Multi-threading improvements. IMO.
  20. Update: Look at the F-16C namings .... SPD BRK, WPN REL, the unfortunately look official tho as they're so in the manual, but then Display Management Switch is a full name again. Also another thing: A-10C: MIC Switch F-18C: COMM Switch F-16C: Transmit Switch The first two may be all official and okay, but what about Transmit Switch, is that a real name? I'm just showing the "inconsistency" and not saying we have to necessairly change it, if it's all by-the-book to those aircraft then I'm not sure what we can do about it. None of these are grouped into the "Communications" group, perhaps that's one of the remedies.
  21. "Simulation" and all the other integrated counters may be useful they just weren't for me in what I was trying to figure out, it's not logged and there's no histogram to compare things easily with the other things so I didn't bother with it. I wasn't able to enable any more debug/perf/console in DCS despite configuring the options and lua files, it may not be possible in public builds. And a picture of what we're actually talking about: Also the counters move so fast you can barely see it and for just eyeballing things is quite hard, slowing down video is necessary, but then again, you can use software that interferes with CPU usage and the stats, I made many false assumptions and conclusions in the past, most of which I figured out before I posted anything thankfully. I have a Nikon D3200 but video is only 720p and it's barely usable for this type of recording, can't even get half the screen on with good focus. If there's some key clue that the Simulation counter can help us I'd love to see it.
  22. Depends if the previously downloaded content is still there, you would just move the _download folders around with the data in there, hopefully it picks it up, but I never tried that. The DCS updater usually did things like this the last time I checked: DOWNLOAD UNPACK INSTALL: COPY UNPACKED TO INSTALL DIR AND OVERWRITE So basically you needed a lot more space, I asked why it doesn't just unpack direcly to the install DIR but the dev said it should be like that in one occasion or in another ocassion that it is "hardlinked" but I didn't understand at the time nor do it still, I know what hardlinking is and have used it extensively but not sure in that kind patch-install of context, because the stats show otherwise, unless I came to the wrong conclusion then, but I'm totally open to anyone correcting me. Once the next install beta update comes I'll scan the updater activity and give an update if it has changed since. The last time was June 2017 so that's a bit old so take this with a grain of salt. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=187283 But I can't find the thread associated with the youtube videos, where it was explained, it's probably archived because part of DCS 2.1 Alpha and the forum search doesn't find it and post history only goes back 500 pages and ends like way too short, the only thread I found is from above where I suggesed for an option to specify another drive to download/unpack to.
