Menu options/graphics "OK" button broken after update... Hello guys, Never had a single issue with DCS, for many years now, very smooth.:thumbup: Today, I just updated to 1.5.4 , now I cannot change my graphics and other settings no longer. After adjusting the things I want in the graphic options(Textures, water, MSAA, etc), and then I proceed to click "OK" at the bottom to save and go back to the main screen, the game turns to black screen, music keeps playing but I am forced to close it via Task Manager. Then comes "DCS has stopped working". This is the only issue, everything else works 100% just cannot increase graphics and save as I would like. Any help or suggestion is much appreciated, Thanks!:thumbup:

The feeling this map gives you and the level of detail is extremely similar to actually flying over vegas, :thumbup: :thumbup: Don't be surprised when Arma realism modders, gta moders, etc start pouring over to DCS...

What KB/s or MB/s were you getting while DLing? How long did it take you?

How many people have been able to download and play so far? Still stuck at 20/kbs for nearly 24 hours :music_whistling:

Great post, welcome! I do agree, we are in the golden age of flight sims. Especially if you can afford sim tools such as Titan 6k, top of the line HOTAS, heck you can even go all out and build an authentic cockpit.

C-130 might have enough public data to create for DCS, considering so many countries use the aircraft it would be a great non-fighter aircraft we could play with. Additionally it does have fairly impressive gunship/ground attack support capabilities.

Wait, so only people who pre-ordered the A10C will have access to this map?? When will everyone else get to try it out?

What is your favorite loadout for the SU25-A? What weapons do you prefer as a general bombing/anti tank attack aircraft loadout. Thanks

I am completely blown away at how smooth it plays. Never in my life did I update or get a new game, and my FPS improved. I was ready to buy a newer graphics card, so happy I can use that money towards some new modules! L39 here I come :)) Next time someone says PC sucks because you always have to upgrade, show them Eagle Dynamics team.

Wow, this is a miracle! 1.5 Is beyond perfect Maxed out settings just to see the beauty for a few minutes, expected a lot of lag... Guess what? first time ever a Newer/Updated game giving me better FPS and smoother gameplay :O how is this possible? How can I receive better performance in 1.5 when my settings are maxed out?? I play for the last hour+ and no problems! The game is perfect, beautiful, the mountains are amazing, the ground textures look like real life. 10 out of 10 from me.

SU-25A Syria camo, made by a user of this forum! Finally the country Syria has been added to 1.5 also now the AI can go before you, allowing for some awesome formation flying to the mission :)))):)))

How many more hours do we have to wait? I read the changelog but couldn't find an exact release time? Really confused on when it will be released, considering it's the 29th of September...?

Best wishes to your recovery! There are tutorials for every FC3 plane in DCS, you can download the manuals from the eagle dynamics website or by just by googling, also some guides on here and steam has a great guide in the su25. SU25 is a fun plane, try the SU25A if you have flaming cliffs 3, personally I prefer it than the 25T. Also the F15 is a very fun plane to fly and learn, lots of custom user missions once you're good enough. Checkout Ralfidude on youtube for some awesome videos

GUYS!!! I made this thread and have since begun upgrading!! Yes you can fly with keyboard but your skill will be CAPPED at a certain level. I realized this when I begun flying in MP, couldn't really keep up, stalling, not knowing if you will land perfectly after a mission, having to redo, etc etc ...So just so you know.

Take off and land back on the same airport, it will work for sure. You can refuel/rearm at friendly airports.

Update: Got destroyed playing online lol...went to 51st server to verse a MiG 29 and got shot down by an Su-25 instead. I had him in front of me, but the F15 is so quick I pass the Sukhoi and couldn't turn fast enought, my guess is he had a stick :megalol:

Here is a 1v1 BVR mission against a MiG25 i just did in complete simulation mode, later I will truly test my skills in multiplayer. Turned on control indicator (ctrl+enter) with the suggestion of some guys :) Thanks :) Indeed stalling sucks, I can never recover from it. I have learned to be more gentle to avoid it.

Some of the weapons controls are combos, but why remap everything as a combo to another key? Its about as realistic as any other game where you use your mouse to look (ie: FPS games). Granted I could add another monitor or buy TrackIR & HOTAS to make it more realistic but my only point is to show starters that you do need to spend more money just to get into the game. I plan on buying a stick eventually, but having followed the advice given by the community I didn't play this game for months thinking it was impossible with a keyboard and mouse until I gave it a try :) I find it quite fun :) I am sure a stick and throttle would be way more fun and realistic though!
