  1. Official results are out! http://sa-sim.com/november-2015/ Pilot, squadron and country rankings will be updated tomorrow to reflect those results, stay tuned!
  2. Very good, I like the idea especially trying to involve pilots from the Russian speaking side. If this pans out well I may consider rewarding the best pilots with rankings points! Good luck gents. S!
  3. I did not quite get the setup, Stuge: Is it a 12v12 single battle (3 teams of 4 pilots each for blufor vs 3 other teams of 4 pilots each for redfor) or is it made of multiple round robin/knockout 4v4 matches? Also, One life per pilot?
  4. We've finally got a great highlight video, thank you sir!
  5. RED FLAG NEVADA 16th of January 1900z: Warm up and testing session 17th of January 1900z: Official battle DCS theater: NTTR Battle duration: 3 hours - One life per pilot Open slots (challenger side): 30 - first come first served Hosting server: 104th Dedicated Server TeamSpeak Address: 50.197.62.13 TeamSpeak password: phoenix Prize Pool (Provided by the 104th Squadron): 1st place = $50 + F-15/Su27/Mig29 Tshirt 2nd place = $30 + F-15/Su27/Mig29 Tshirt 3rd place = $20 + F-15/Su27/Mig29 Tshirt This prize pool may expand soon! Counting for SA rankings: Yes The 2016 Red Flag event calendar gets under-way in collaboration with the 104th Phoenix, 51st Bison, Fighting 99th and TAW Squadrons. This time the fight in its 4th iteration will be for the first time over the deserts of Nevada as both sides go head to head in a 3 hour battle of attrition. As in our previous Red Flag PvP events, the fight will oppose an Aggressor force consisting of 15 pilots from a mix of 104th, 51st, F99th to a 30 pilot strong Challenger coalition. The rules will be the same as in our previous PvP battles and are available to read here: http://www.sa-sim.com/wp-content/forums/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=2816 Sign up is open to Squadrons and lone-wolfs, however, there is a quota of 4 slots for any one squadron from the challenger side with the possibility to field two pilots for the same slot flying each an hour and half, so technically a squadron would still be able to register up to 8 members. Spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis and we will operate a reserve list for the event of pilots not showing on the night. Due to the early release of Nevada, stability is not something we can take for granted in its alpha stage. Therefore a warm up/testing session could be scheduled on the day before the official battle in order to double check the solidity of the game with the new NTTR theater. We have been receiving great feedback already from our testing partners reporting an already much better stability overall; this is obviously a great sign so we may well be setting off to a great evening of action-packed air combat. Red Flag 2016, what's to come... In 2016 we hope to build on last years success by pulling more Squadrons to take part as Aggressors and Challengers and increasing the overall client number taking part in the event. As Nevada matures into a stable platform to host more complex missions on we intent to incorporate more intense air to ground objectives. However in its early days of 2016 the competition will be limited to Air to Air. It's hard to predict when we can make more realistic objectives possible while hosting 50+ clients in the NTTR however the long term goal for Red Flag is to do just that, but for the time being 15 vs 30 Air to Air will be the standard format. 2016 will also feature prizes for the top 3 Challenger side pilots after each event, ranging from DCS Modules, T-Shirts, memorabilia and cold hard cash! Additional prizes will also be given out at random to members of the Challenger side who stand out during events! You can download the mission file HERE: http://www.mediafire.com/download/pa87utbim5dc0y7/RED_FLAG_NEVADA_RF4.miz Please excuse the simplistic nature of this first event. With this being our very first attempt at competitive PvP Combat in the Alpha NTTR we want to tread very lightly to minimize the chances of any server issues. Our priority at this stage is to run the event for 3 hours without interruption. If this is achieved at this first event we will gradually start to increase the mission complexity in following events Airfields: Blue - Nellis Red - Groom Lake Objectives: Blue - Eliminate all Aggressor Aircraft Red - Defend Groom Lake As this first event features no Air to Ground aircraft Red Force will have NO SAMS on Groom Lake. Instead a Hawk site is provided North of Groom Lake situated in the town of Rachel that will provide cover to the Aggressor rear. This Hawk will not be able to engage Blue Force aircraft over Groom Lake at Medium to Low Altitude. Aggressor aircraft must provide cover to any Wingmen rearming or refueling on the ground at Groom Lake! Blue Force CAN attack the Aggressors on the ground at Groom Lake! IMPORTANT UPDATES RF4 will run on Saturday January 16th ONLY. There won't be any stress test as it was initially planned. Since the release of the NTTR, 104th 2.0 server has been running similar missions with same number of players with no major issues, so you'd better bring it on off the bat! Initially planned to fly as aggressors, TAW squadron will finally join forces with SF squadron to back the challenger side in this round. TAW and SF will be assigned to the aggressor coalition in the next round (RF5). Please get familiar with the event rules to keep penalties at bay, there have been minor updates to fit the new NTTR theater so make sure to read again --->http://www.sa-sim.com/wp-content/forums/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=2816&p=3378#p3378
  6. Sure mate, just let me know what Razer picked once you know. Dont worry if its a few bucks above the limit, it doesn't have to be the exact price :)

  8. A lot of fun meeting and chatting with the NOB folks. I'd be glad to see you again in the next one!
  9. What a great event! Congratulations Stuge, you've been a major asset to this event inside and outside of the cockpit. Massive kudos to TAW crew, you guys set the bar high by providing the prefect environment for this event to succeed. Kudos as well to Riptide and the 104th team for helping with hosting a few matches. And to all Top Gun 2 fighters, impressive flying and exemplary sportsmanship. Thanks guys, see you in the next one! S!
  10. I see what you mean Breakshot. Next round will possibly come in a different flavor like smaller bubble and maybe give the pilot ability to freely set the fuel amount up to a certain limit.
  11. Stuge has just won the 2015 Top Gun 1v1 title in an emphatic fashion, without dropping a single round throughout the competition! Do not be mistaken, the competition was fierce but Stuge has been in a class of his own, always able to step it up in key moments. On behalf of the whole organizing team, congrats Stuge on a well earned victory. Congrats every single pilot who flew in Top Gun 2 on your fighting skills, sportsmanship and the great time we had meeting you on TeamSpeak. I take my hat off to Mr Dutch_Baron, Mr SkyCap, Mr OverG and Mr Riptide for an outstanding organization, hosting and refereeing of the matches. It's not over yet as tomorrow is expected to sound even louder on the runways for the last day of the 2v2 competition; we are looking forward to some exciting matches. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- @Breakshot: Thank you for your input, we will consider for next time. Regarding the scoring and rankings we had not intended to split it by aircraft, thus the only classification will be 1v1 and 2v2. We had had long discussions about whether we should run two competitions one for the Flanker and one for the Eagle before coming to the conclusion that it would be more practical to keep them mixed in the same draw while allowing the pilots to freely pick their ride for every match (not round). With that being said, we believe each jet has its own strengths and it's up to the pilot to try to draw the fight where own jet behaves the best.
  12. Live streaming of the fights here: http://www.twitch.tv/tawtv Its getting very hot down here...
  13. To all participants still in, please update your 1.5 to the latest version here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2564015&postcount=9 It seems that some have not noticed that they should not update if any new version comes out in the middle of the competition so they have already updated. So we went testing it to see if the mission still works fine and fortunately it does, so since updating is more straightforward than switching back to an older version, it is more practical to just ask everyone to update to the latest version. See you all tomorrow for the last day of 1v1, may the best pilot win!
  14. I'm all for streaming guys but we need to set a little delay if possible.
  15. He's got a YouTube channel with a few interesting videos, you will see what I meant :)
  16. Guys, I’ve got a treat for you today! I’m interviewing Gareth ‘Maverick’ Moore, he an F-15C virtual pilot, leader of the 104th Fighter Squadron and the designer of the popular Joint Warrior and Red Flag tactical warfare events for DCS World. Link:http://sa-sim.com/in-the-spotlight-gareth-maverick-moore-2/
  17. Only two guys will have to fly 4 matches on Saturday and the reward of being the champion or the runner up seems to be worth the extra flight time doesnt it :) It's single knock out so most folks will fly one or two matches at most even less on Sunday in 2v2.
  18. @Jack I'll try that out, thanks. @Rage as mentioned before participants still having matches in TG2 should not update.
  19. Hey guys First, thanks to all who showed up, it was really great to meet and talk to many BFM fans in such a friendly ambiance. We plan to wrap up the tournament this weekend. We will finish 1v1 on Saturday then 2v2 on Sunday. Schedules for 28th-29th weekend are out, please go and check them out: http://sa-sim.com/top-gun-round-2-for-dcs-1-5-kicking-off-november-14th/ Anything, please let me know. S!
  20. It doesn't work on BinaryBeast, I suspect an html related bug or an on purpose anti-injection measure, out of my hands.
