  1. Too bad mate! I will update the roster shortly. Looking forward to seeing you on the next one Rush :-) EDIT: Roster updated - PointBlank, F-15C has joined Team Orange.
  2. Cool initiative! Any chance to include targets on the way for racers to strike in exchange of a bonus in the form of seconds to deduct from the final flight time? Kind of mixing air racing and combat...regular P-51 would be needed though.
  3. It's already updated, could not spot any difference from the previous posted lineup. @Fitz: I've added you on the reserve list.
  4. Hi Rush, I think easiest is for Red to go red and Blue go blue; map is pretty symmetrical so I don't think that the color matters. If any discrepancies in distances to BE, then head starts could be used although I do not think it is necessary since strikers will have to take off 5mn after fighters to avoid any early strike before the fast movers turn up.
  5. Iceman has moved from reserve to green coalition, which makes PointBlank, Thirdrail and Scorch the next contenders to enter the lineup if any further cancellation or no show. Fitz, who.has just signed up will be added to the last reserve slot as we roll first come first served gentlemen. I recommend all reserve pilots to be flexible as for which coalition they want to join to maximize your chances to grab a flying seat. So please keep an eye out and turn up on the D-day on TS to check in and be considered if an opportunity presents itself. The thread 'JW4 Lineup and reserve' keeps track of the roster and other details, so that's where you follow your current position on the sign-up list. Cheers guys.
  6. Not sure if people would like to hunt ghost contacts, mate, I would not. I'd rather rely on my team for calling out the bad guys. Last Red Flag has seen the Su-27 coming back strong! (first A2A place by KombatMilc + 4 Flankers among the top 6). That ET can definitely hurt! Nonetheless, I will let Maverick know about this as he is JW's and RF's mission designer but I doubt we will see an AWACS in JW4, most likely in upcoming events as I stated before.
  7. There are plans to put it back on the menu, Rush but those issues need to be addressed first. Human GCI is also being considered for future events.
  8. Roger Falcon, I will update shortly, thanks. EDIT: Updated, see first post.
  9. Hi Rage. There are a few things to remember about flight time, aggressiveness and pilot substitution: Minimum flight time to validate your score is one hour and half if no points are scored and one hour if points are scored. A mission score of zero (no kill and no loss) can still make you earn Rankings points (SA points) providing the pilot was aggressive and effective enough; this is to avoid cases of when a player would survive the battle without scoring points (kills or assists) and without engaging the enemy, flying in a very defensive style; in such cases, no rankings points are awarded. Regarding substitution of a pilot, it isn't possible for a player who has already sustained a loss to join the same battle again as long as the one life per pilot rule stands, which will be the case in JW4. However, a pilot from the reserve can but this has to take place with at least one hour remaining before the end of the fight so that the substitute could validate his softie. Minimum flight time rule is there to prevent cases when for instance a pilot gets a bit lucky scoring early kills then quits way too early before minimum flight time is reached. This is also to ensure that every pilot will stay long enough to fight for team victory as it is a crucial component of the rankings system.
  10. We have decided to have even more points at stake for this event, therefore JW4 will be a grade B battle. For comparison, all previous tactical battles had a grade C. This is meant to reflect the high level of the competition expected as many top ranked pilots will be flying in JW4. * only base points are shown above, bonus points (related to battle victory and pilot status), which can go up to 100% are not.
  11. Order of Battle, TS Meeting and Planning Rooms sections added to the first post.
  12. Yes, squadrons can swap their members unless they need an additional slot in which case the new comer will take the last reserve slot.
  13. Roger guys! I have calculated the average SA ranking for each coalition (based on respective pilot rankings) for seeding purposes to decide who will fight who in the semifinals. The lower the average ranking the higher the seed. For those who wonder: seeding means giving a preliminary ranking for the purposes of the draw so that the top ranked do not meet until later in the competition. So based on that calculated average ranking, we currently have: Top seed-----> Blue coalition #2 team -----> Red coalition #3 team -----> Orange coalition #4 team -----> Green coalition Typically the semifinals on Saturday June 27 will be: Semifinal 1---->#1 (Blue Team) VS. #4 (Green Team) -----> on 104th Server Semifinal 2----> #2 (Red Team) VS. #3 (Orange Team) ------> on 51st Server
  14. Current line up and reserve on new thread for easy tracking : http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=144420
  15. Hi guys, I've decided to go for a new thread to keep it easy for people to follow this. Please see below current line up and reserve for Orange, Red and Gree coalitions. We have tried to take into account who you've said you want to fly with as much as we could while keeping an eye on who signed up first (priority column), so this is the lineup as well as the reserve list. COALITIONS LINEUP & RESERVE ORDER OF BATTLE Based on that calculated average ranking, we currently have: Top seed-----> Blue coalition #2 team -----> Red coalition #3 team -----> Orange coalition #4 team -----> Green coalition Typically the semifinals on Saturday June 27 will be: Semifinal 1---->#1 (Blue Team) VS. #4 (Green Team) -----> on 104th TeamSpeak---->address: 50.197.62.13 (password = phoenix) Semifinal 2----> #2 (Red Team) VS. #3 (Orange Team) ------> on 51st TeamSpeak---->address: 51st.hopto.org (no password) SCHEDULE AND RULES All times are Zulu----> http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/timezone/zulu -5pm: Pilot Check-in and reservist management according to official roster. -5:40PM: Only participants and admins should join the 3D world -5:50PM: insuring both teams have same numbers and at least 4 strikers each. -6PM: Fighters take off after "fight's on" clearance. -6:05PM:Strikers take off after clearance - 9:00PM: Final RTB call at 9PM, failure to disengage and land will count as a loss. Reminders - Permission to reconnect must be asked to an admin in case of a disconnection or technical issues. Make sure you are not engaged or under pressure when disconnecting as all instances will be reviewed post battle. - Air collisions will be counted as a loss, so caution. - Respawn after purging a 10mn penalty granted if stuck on runway because of gear damage or empty tanks (do not disconnect until an admin can find you with F-11 view and give you clearance) - Do not exit the server after ejecting and before crashing. - Landing then re-spawning on a different base is not allowed; Land on designated bases only. - We will try to announce a winner asap so you know who should turn up tomorrow for the final battle (if no obvious winner, then server logs will be used for quick tally and results should be posted within a few hours). Note: Please keep an eye on the lineup above, especially reserve pilots as you may get into the main roster if any withdraw; also, try to turn up on Saturday so if there are no shows you could jump on. S!
  16. Hi Falcon, I think you got that wrong: colors above do no mean coalitio colors, merely people who expressed interest in flying together (as described above). Basically, we are giving people some freedom to team up together. =238th.lbae= is not isolated, most likely the 36th, SVK, TAW and other lone wolves will join you to form a fully-fledged coalition. You should of read that carefully or PM'd me instead. I don't know from where you came up with that "you don't need us" feeling...
  17. Temporary JW4 Roster Hi guys, Thanks for the sign ups so far! See below updated roster. same color means people who belong to same squadron or people who showed motivation to fly in the same team. The hosting coalition is managing their roster internally (104th and 51st) but they may need a few slots. Please note that it will be on first come first served basis so I've added the number of the sign up post next to each entry under "Priority" column and listing is already sorted accordingly. I'll keep updating as you guys sort things out but coalitions must be finalized as early as possible so I can start letting people join respective planning rooms for those who would like to plan their fight in a private forum. Remember guys, there are 3 coalitions available each has 20 A2A slots and 4 A2G slots so that's 72 slots and we've got 83 pilots down here, so guys who signed up first must enter first and the remaining pilots can stand by in case of no shows, which happens regularly. The hosting coalition may even need a few pilots if they don't fill all the slots internally, so everyone has a good chance to join the party.
  18. Finally! Mighty Fulcrum is getting some love! Please ED, fix the R-77 kinematics while you're at it.
  19. Thanks for the feedback, Bushmanni, Aleman and Pyromaniac. We will look into this. I remember in JW1, Tor's were so difficult to take out and people were struggling with A10's on the blue side. That's why we made Frogfoot's available to both sides. Keep an eye out as I'm sure Maverick will get back to you on this.
  20. Rankings and Halls of Fame have been updated to include Red Flag 2. Next update (01.07.2015) will see JW1 reaching its drop date so a lot of points will have to be defended during JW4 for those who scored in JW1. Further, JW4 could be a grade B battle, i.e with more points at stake; this is yet to be confirmed. A detailed BattleFacts post coming up soon to highlight RF2 key performances. S!
  21. Yes that is fine but a fighter replacing a striker or the other way around is not allowed. Further, a pilot must fly at least 90mn to validate his participation, which means that only one substitution is possible per slot and must happen at half time (one hour and half after kick off). Substitute can spool up and hold short until teammate lands, comes to a complete stop and disconnects. Substitution must also be broadcasted via in game chat by both pilots. Additionally, exiting pilot must send a PM to an administrator confirming name.of the sub and time of the swapping. Last but not least, subs must sign up in advance as reserve pilots for a particular team on the official registration thread.
  22. Hi Bandit, no you did not get any additional loss or penalty, the crash was not reported neither in the server logs nor in Tacview, so this is why it has been added manually. I understand joining spectators before crashing was not intentional. You ended up with one kill and one loss as you can see on the result page. Thanks for the feedback an looking forward to seeing you in the next event.
  23. Gentlmen, RF2 Official results are out, you can check them out here: http://sa-sim.com/red-flag-round-2-official-results/ Very tight battle as you will see, congratulations to both teams, the challengers for the victory and Opfor for a hard-fought battle despite being outnumbered. Next will be converting mission scores into SA points which will update the pilot, squadron and country rankings. Sorry for the little delay, RL got in the way.
  24. Hey Aleman, where are the ECV57 fellas? Aren't you teaming up together? EDIT: ECV 57 have already signed up (page 1). We will finalize the coalitions in the next couple of days.
  25. Thanks all for the sign ups so far! To answer some of the questions: - Coalitions can be formed freely by participants as long as they include at least two squadrons and a few lone wolves. Attention though as first come first served basis rule applies first. - Scoring is simple, the team that inflicts most damage wins. Points are awarded according to the value of the target: AWACS = 150pts Tanker = 60pts Battleship = 100pts Fighter = 50pts Striker = 25pts S-300/Patriot = 80pts (whole battery) Tor/Hawk = 40pts Strela-10M3/ZSU-23 Shilka or Sergey/Command Post/MBT's/ = 10pts Igla/Artillery = 5pts Soldier = 1pt - Map will be as symmetrical as possible, ground troop will be most likely set up in a Sochi vs Gudauta or Sukhumi configuration (to be confirmed by Maverick), difference in distances will be offset by making a team have a head start to achieve same TOS (Time On Station) - No sure if Ka-50 will be part of the party, we will see if we can fit them in. - No respawn unless authorized for a technical problem and when not engaged by an enemy. - We will prepare the brackets asap and assign teams to either 104th or 51st server for the semi finals.
