  1. I finally built it! Guys just to let you know, I finally got the Ryzen 7 3700X and the RTX 2070. Min fps is 47 at low level flying over Las Vegas at night, with the Tomcat. Graphics High Settigns. Average fps level is 60 in those conditions. If you have any questions please let me know. Have a good one.
  2. Why do you say more lanes provide better performance for DCS? Also, why do I always read DCS takes advantage of single core performance? Doesn't DCS operate with all the cores the CPU has? Many questions... hehehe
  3. Hi there, As I wrote before on this post I am still looking for the optimal build to fly DCS in FHD with the RTX2070. I want to know what your opinion is about the Intel i5-10600K vs Ryzen 7 3700X. Why do I choose those ones you say? Well, they fit just fine within my budget (around 1600€) and I have read these are optimal now for a gaming pc of this price. The thing is, both are great CPU's but the i5 has less cores/threads than the Ryzen but has higher CPU clock frequency. That being said, thats why I want to know which one will perform better in DCS.
  4. Yes, that is a good build but that GPU is nearly as expensive as my whole budget (1500€). Thank you for your reply tho.
  5. I'm planning on building a new PC with aproximately 1500€. I want what every DCS pilot wants, not a single FPS drop or inconsistency, flying sensation when dogfighting at low altitude, and so on... Having said that, I am looking forward to take advantage of the future optimizations ED will develop (Vulkan API for example) although I don't want to fly with VR glasses nor multimonitor or video editing, just DCS World at Full HD. I have been told AMD Ryzens will take advantage of future developments better than old Intel CPUs (i5-9600K for instance) because of their "modern" architecture. Also, it seems like the most badass rigs people have, like Wags' or Ralfidude's, work with i9-9900, but obviously those will be out of my league. So basically I would love to have the same performance (visual performance I mean) that Ralfidude or Wags show on their vids. Do you think it can be accomplished with that amount of money? Last but not least, the rig I am planning right now is: Ryzen 7 3700X + RTX2070 Also I have been told RTX won't be as useful as an older but quicker GTX 10 series. What do you think of that?
  6. Hello there, Last year I wrote about cruising with the F5 and the problems with Force Feedback (FFB) with the Logitech G940 joystick. I could solve the FFB problem, but whenever I try to maintain any altitude it becomes an imposible task to achieve. Some people say F5 is NOT a handoff jet. Well, of course it is, it has not Auto Pilot, but she can maintain level flight with just minor adjustments from time to time. Just to say an example, former F5M pilot of Spanish Air Force told me they used to fly them from Iberian Peninsula to Canary Islands just tapping the joystick from time to time. I have read a very interesting thread about the same issue, and one answer took my atention: And , flying at 9000' with the same RPM setting as Thumper said and without fuel tanks nor bombs. I think it is not the same feeling as flying the real thing. So I would like to know if someone is able to cruise at a given altitude without having to look too much to the Vertical Speed Indicator having the same HOTAS, and if you don't have the G940, tips from your own experience will be appreciated.
  7. I was lucky to see Spanish F5's landing, they use chute 24/7 if they want a smooth arrival. So I use it 24/7 as well, braking should be done later.
  8. Well, duct tape works fine. But I'll try to solve it the software-way. Thank you guys. P.s.: I don't know what "Sync controllers" are.
  9. Hello everyone, I'm having kind of trouble with pitch settings on the F5. As title says, I'm flying with G940 HOTAS and I have not had any pitch related problem till I bought the F5. Problem pops up when cruising, when I want to maintain steady flight, any time I put my hands off the stick, it goes down, like it does not detect I'm in a Sim. So whenever I put my hand on it again, it recovers the position it was when I left it. Non g940 (or non FFB) people might be wondering wtf I just wrote, but G940 stick has a little IR sensor on the right side, so when you place your hand over it, system detects someone is there and FFB enables itself. For FC3 planes (like F15C) the problem dissapears, joystick loses little "force" but the plane remains on it's place. I know, I know. F5 is an "oldie but goldie" and has to be trimmed everytime you change your flight attitude and the F15 is a modern badass that trims itself (as long as I know), but I should be able to maintain a proper steady flight when cruising, and all I can do now is focus 100% on attitude and vertical speed indicator making ridiculously small moves just to make it move from -50 to 50 ft/min. I have tried changing axis settings on DCS (dead zone and curvature), but it did not really help. And of course I have assigned trim control to one of the hat keys in joystick. Anyone know how to proper set this beast? Thank you for your attention.
  10. Well, nothing but the most stupid setting was wrong. I'm not sure if it is the correct way to solve it. But I changed saturation on DCS control settings, and set it to it's maximum value (100). Works perfect now. Thank you everyone.
  11. How did you manage to make HID driver override any other aplication?. (about that "modding" you said, I had to place new wires to make it work hahaha.) Thank you for your replay.
  12. Yes, didn't work. I read that threat as well. I attach a photo to let you see what I mean. Thank you for the replay.
  13. Hello there, I'have being using these controllers for 5 years or so, and as you maybe already know, it goes all ***tty as time goes on. I managed to solve problems like buttons don't respond and things like that. BUT, this one is driving me crazy. Problem is simple, when I move through throttle axis, dcs does not detect the real limit of the throttle, so when the throttle on my desk is at idle, I can see it is 25% on DCS axis display (ctrl+intro). And the same happens when I push it to MAX on my desk, dcs shows 85%. Happens to me in all planes I have, and I'm trying my best with logitech profiler, but nothing. Anyone have the solution for this problem? thank you in advance.

    Bombers

How is this going guys? Do we have anything official??
  15. I´m not sure if this is the correct place to ask about it but, will we see a Europe map?? I mean with all main air force bases or main airports. That will be fantastic (Specially a map of Spain jejejeje)
