  1. Awesome guide as always Chuck. I think the most important thing you do in these guides is the "These are the things you want bound" section. That's the thing I struggle with the most with any new aircraft that doesn't map well to modern NATO standards.
  2. So it's still not working for me :( In the binding menu I can see the input registering when I move the nub, but once in game I put the radar in emit and try and slew and nothing happens. Ah well, disappointing, but I'll switch back to a hat for now.
  3. e: Ohhh, thanks for that Svend. I'll try that.
  4. They are listed in the axis list, but they still seem to do nothing. Am I just missing something? Are there plans to implement these? Having to burn a hat switch on TDC slew is really annoying when I should be able to map my nub to it like other planes. If it is working, can someone explain how they got their warthog nub to map to it? Again, I have it mapped to JOY_RX and JOY_RY on my Thrustmaster Virtual Controller (I use TARGET for some things)...but no dice.
  5. If this works, you're a saint. I'll let you know :megalol:
  6. So goes the theory. Reality is not lining up.
  7. Lets talk about the other ways it's unplayable: Sound doesn't come through the Oculus headphones if you have any other sound device attached to your machine. Other Oculus games have no issue with this, they detect you're in the HMD and use that sound device. When you start in the A-10C, you're seat position is so high, and so far forward, you're out of the cockpit. Oculus global re-orient does not have any effect. Why would the default seat position be setup like I was an 8 foot tall giant? The main 2D menu is skewed and way off to the right, again, Oculus global re-orient does nothing. In fact, in general, Oculus global re-orient seems to have zero effect on DCS at all. It's great they got Oculus 1.3 support in, it would be nice if it played nice like other Oculus games do. As it stands right now, I can't use this at all to fly the A-10.
  8. So...the Oculus is enough to force DCS to think I made "significant hardware changes" to my computer, forcing me to re-activate everything, burning yet ANOTHER activation? What a joke. Now I'm getting integrity faults on half my activation keys and when I try. Great update so far, real slick.
  9. How is a person with limited physical motion even going to fly with a VR HMD then? With 1:1 head movement, to look at side the cockpit, especially during BFM, will require someone to be able to move at the full range. I'm not saying those people should be marginalized, I'm just saying they are going to have bigger issues than head-slaved pointer.
  10. No idea, I've had my Rift for 45 minutes, and never had a DK2. I guess I'm waiting for them to update to the 1.3 runtime if that's the case :(
  11. Got my Rift today and got it all setup. DCS World still doesn't appear to be working with "direct mode" :( So you have to do the extended monitor stuff to make DCS run on the Rift right now, unless I'm missing something.
  12. I'm having the same issue. I can login to the game itself, but not the website. I'm running Chrome. If your site doesn't work in chrome, you're doing something wrong. This needs to be fixed.
  13. Does anyone find the wheel brakes on the F-15 super soft, to the point of uselessness? Whether I use my pedals or the W key, the brakes just don't brake very much. Is there something I'm missing, like needing to engage 'S' to use the nose wheel steering correctly? I'm hoping I'm just being an idiot and it's not the Eagle itself. As one more note, I'm talking about during taxi, not so much on landing.
  14. I had a similar issue, and ended up putting Zoom in slow/Zoom out slow on I DMS up, and I DMS down respectively. That said, I know people who don't have the issue. If I had to guess, it will take some tweaking of the axis curve in TARGET to get the throttle slider to do zoom smoothly and progressively.
