"Fan Song" search radar screenshot posted on FB:

For the record though - I do think the F-35's going to have a service history like the Convair Hustler (an aircraft I love).
Beautiful expression of specialisation that, once that specialist trick was countered, was quickly replaced by more generally able aircraft
I was more-or-less with you until this assessment.
Nothing more capable is in the pipe. Essentially, the USN/USAF have bet everything on the success of the platform, so it'll succeed one way or another, by simply throwing money at it. On paper, it'll should be a better platform than the F-18, and we've already built more than the F-22 resulting in a far lower per-unit cost. Enough partner nations are signed up and apparently happy that I'm sure it'll do fine.

-50C is for hot cocoa and bourbon, not flying

Best of luck to you, can't wait to fly it.

Hi. I am trying to connect to 104th, and I'm getting a error claiming a modified client with 3 modified files:
textures/empty
textures/light_green
textures/light_red
My client is unmodified, I have no mods installed, and I ran a repair deleting the files you suggested on the website first.
Any ideas?

Edit: nevermind, figured it out. Turns out aircraft in Saved Games cannot use the same texture filenames as existing dds files, or the game engine can get confused and cause an IC failure.

Well that an F-35 is put completely out of commision by a bird aint that good of story either tbh, even if I do heavily prefer it to one being tracked & hit by an old S-200 as that would be downright scary.
The original article quoted the IAF who said it'd be back operational "in the coming days."

Not sure it's a big deal, but better to take the time to double-check the RAM than risk being detected on a mission.

No joy. Is it working for you?
I reproduced it locally, made a video, and filed a bug report in the tracker.
Thanks!

I do use a NVG mod, but the issue manifests without the mod as well.
Can you remove all mods, run a repair (just in case) then take a screenshot?
-
A mirror of my entire monitor screen image appears on the overlay panel.
I expect to see the GPS panel. (Close look to NS430)
So I see green in the NVG setup... are you using an NVG mod? I thought the default NVG for the Mi-8 was black & white.
Or am I mistaken?
-
Can someone take some screenshots of what they're seeing? I don't understand the report.
Some description of what they expect to see would be nice too.

The way the system is now, the dynamic textures have to be part of the 3D object, restricting the position, size, and number of dynamic digits. So unfortunately, the answer to your question is no.
It would be a feature request to RAZBAM, to add an additional number area that could be optionally enabled or disabled.
You're correct that it's part of the 3D model itself.

Inverted flight in the Mi-8? you are 'da boss! ;)
I haven't completed a loop lately, but barrel rolls aren't too hard as long as your passengers are wearing their seatbelts.

Not in the current NTTR at least, just refueled as always and there was no change to the procedure that I noticed. Are you talking about the v1.5b?
I was referring to this post:
https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2571181&postcount=400
Granted, the Mi-8's tanks last longer than my bladder so refueling for me isn't very common... as such, I haven't personally tested this. =P

FYI, I updated my M-2000C english cockpit in September:
0.93: (4 Sep 2017) Resync with latest material names from RAZBAM. Fixes all warning lamps and adds proper alpha layer to countermeasure panel.
-
That, or they're not willing to wait another decade for the engines.
-
Also, inverted flight will give you an emergency fuel warning now, as the service tank sensors won't see the fuel. I don't remember that before.
-
OK, one more thing that I found out, but maybe I am late again on this. When refueling, you can now hear the sound of the fuel being pumped in your helicopter. New?
Been there a while. You also need to change one of the fuel pump settings (I think) in order to refuel properly.

This was reported as part of a larger bug listing issues with flight plan behavior, but you're right, it should probably get filed separately as its own issue.
I'll try to remember to do that tonight.
IRL, "direct to" creates a virtual origin waypoint for the pink line, but that point doesn't appear in flight plan page. Direct-To with an already-active flight plan shows a little pink arrow next to the point you're flying to, and disactivates an already-active leg according to some logic I don't 100% understand.
-
Where do you see that function?
the only one I see is:
Export.LoGetVectorWindVelocity = {x,y,z} -- vector of wind velocity (world axis)
-
I don't believe this presently works, because our NS430 implementation doesn't include obstacles, road maps, or airspace boundaries.
I'll file an enhancement request.
-
Unfortunately my English cockpit mod will not work with the M-2000C when installed in the Saved Games folder, because it requires a modification to entry.lua to enable the cockpit livery scan.
Once someone from RAZBAM updates the lua code for the Mirage, then JSGME or similar will not be required.
To be honest, we've been expecting a RAZBAM-provided English cockpit option for a while. My mod was only supposed to be a short-lived endeavor for a few months, but now it's been almost 2 years.
-
Maybe it's the new T-50 engine that was promised.
-
Can we create and sign a change.org petition to get you that stuff?
No.
We haven't asked for it, because we're not ready to apply for it.
-
With the harrier getting the HARM (presumably), will that give you enough to be able to modify it into the Shrike for the A-4?
Not without SDK access, so no. (Shrike is already in-game for AI aircraft, there's nothing for us to do except provide targeting information)

Trick or Treat!
Slow month from the team, so first the trick... While the PBR conversion continues in the background and our cockpit slowly improves, the major 3D improvements we are working on spent a month on hold while our lead 3D artist was traveling in the middle of the South Pacific Ocean....
We do have a tiny treat though, think of it as a single M&M or something... In the last month, we did get a bit of time to play with some visual effects with the radar. While the AN/APG-53A circuitry requires several minutes to warm up properly, it's possible to enable the display before all the circuitry is operating properly. Since users will inevitably turn on the radar circuitry at first opportunity or forget to warm it up properly, we wanted to model what one "might" see on the display as it warms up.
This video demonstrates one of the effects we've been trying out... it starts off displaying static, then about 45 seconds in, the return begins to come into focus. Eventually, there's a slight analog "wobble" on the input data, which looks nice, though is probably over modeled. Anyway, here's the video:
qRVjzqoifTo
The rest of the code changes this past month have been internal plumbing and debug improvements for some future changes, but nothing really visible to the pilot. Oh, and I got my instrument rating.
Thanks again for everyone's support!
