  1. Yes Rangi. The backfires are awesome. Ive worked on my fair share of cars. But that was terrifying lol. We will do our absolute best to capture the feel and sound of the caribou.
  2. Neither can i razor! I'll have to go hear and record the real deal!
  3. No worries bud. As I've said before i look forward to seeing it.
  4. Looks good bud. Nice. Don't forget you can ask for help if no tutorials provide answers on 3dsmax bud :).
  5. Just for you C-7 fanboys :)
  6. Thanks mate. Trial and error and reading. I wish you the best of luck.
  7. I did. But deleted it after using 3dsmax i thought even though blender is a much easier program to operate with all of it's functions i would learn 3dsmax instead so i am much more familiar with the program.
  8. Good thoughts bud. We share similar ideas. But we're looking to dive a little deeper than this! See how we go.
  9. What would you all like to see and achieve in a DCS Cargo aircraft module. Shoot!
  10. G'day Jacks, the flight model is in the research stage mate.
  11. Obviously WIP lol, hence the prop not positoned yet to match the hub.
  12. Yeah mate. Can end up with too many areas to quickly otherwise doing them individually.
  13. Model all as one and cut the piece out.
  14. Frosty. There is always a reason. Not going to waste my time trying to help you from here forward. Goodluck.
  15. Turbosmooth is only as good as the base mesh. With Turbosmooth the closer you have edge loops to eachother. The more defined the line or crease will become.
  16. Frosty. Get a front and rear photo view roughly of the same scale. Form a 36 point cylinder. And shape from the nose. Duplicate. Then modify. So forth. Until you have a sectional diagram. Then bridge edges from there. Reset smooth groups and then see where you need to improve. Do you know what i mean or do you require me to make an image for you?
  17. Weld or merge the two horizontal edge loops. No need for a second and makes it look untidy having the gap mid way through the fueslarge for no purpose.
  18. Yeah mate use box select to select the vertex behind. Ensure backfacing is switched off or you'll still only grab the visible one. Just search and find the key to align verticies to clean up a few edge loops. But looking good. Could i have a close top and bottom view?
  19. Heaps better mate. Well done. Look forward to your scratch built version
  20. Anytime mate :). Keep posting your progress!
  21. I'm getting carried away lol. Where ever there is a horizontal line on the blue print. Add an edge loop to. Then you can shape everything from there bud
  22. Looks like you haven't got an edge loop through the center. So insert one :)
  23. Doesnt look awkard at all. Great improvement. Spot on. Now if you lign the edge loop which runs through the middle of the model. And position it so that its in the center of your helicopter blueprint. And decrease the top and bottom vertice widths so that it gives the comanche shape :)
  24. Looks good mate. Always impressed with your work.
  25. Well to those following this development thread. Starting a complete improved. Clean slate. And with someone who saw interest in the project of bringing a transport aircraft into dcs. Who i believe will make this project a reality. I am sure in due course he may show his work. But i would like to make it clear. We have daily duties to attend to. And this will hopefully be worth the wait. So please stay tuned.
