  1. Sorry to disappoint you twice BG! Unfortunately to get varying weather, time of day and a more informative kneeboard it all has to be baked in before the mission starts. Although I would love it if there was a way to generate the kneeboard dynamically.
  2. Thank you very much! I hope to get the F-5 missions out today.
  3. Thank you Ziggy! that all sounds perfect.
  4. Hi everyone, over in this thread: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=172869 I talk about a mission generator I have been working on, it makes up random, but interesting flights for most of the fixed wing DCS aircraft. The only one missing is the F-5E! I can make the missions for all the modules I own, but for the ones I don't own I need a fairly simple to set up template file that my generator can use to get information about an aircraft. I would love to get the 'Interesting Missions' generator working with ALL the fixed wing modules and for that I need your help. It would be great if someone could follow the instructions in this post: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2894456&postcount=33 and send me a template file for the F-5E. I'm happy to answer any questions you may have.
  5. I've added the MiG-21 and Mirage 2000! That is the last of the fixed wing aircraft I have templates for. The only one left now is the F-5E, I would appreciate it if any owners of the module could make up a template file for me, it doesn't take long, instructions are in this post: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2894456&postcount=33 If I could get that last template I would have 'Interesting Missions' for all the fixed wing modules.
  6. Hi everyone, long story short I made a thing that made 500 missions for the MiG-21. The long story is here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=172869 This could be an interesting flight! The 'Interesting Flights' system is a generator of sort-of-random missions aimed at making sure you never have to fly the same mission twice. They are interesting because you don't know what's going to happen in them. Every mission is different. The flight plan for each mission is generated just for that mission. There is no combat but there IS scoring. The flight plan is complete, well annotated, and can be found on your kneeboard. Below you will find the download link, there are 100 missions in the 'annotated' directory. Their filename gives you some clues about what will happen during the mission (format explained in the post linked above). There are 400 missions in the 'interesting' directory, they don't tell you anything except their difficulty. The message linked above explains the system, its goals, and what you will find in each mission. It's fairly long! I hope you enjoy it. Mission Briefing Look at the weather forecast on your kneeboard, then checkout the flight plan details. The aim of these missions is to get the aircraft safely back on the ground, sometimes it's easy, sometimes it's hard, sometimes you shouldn't even fly. You'll get a higher score if you meet the take off and landing times shown in your flight plan. Down to the second. Make sure there isn't anything wrong with your aircraft during startup. You are not supposed to complete all the 'Interesting Flights', for many, you shouldn't even take off! A lot of the higher numbered flights are just not safe. Make sure the weather and your aircraft are suitable. If not, download another flight. Or download a bunch of them in the first place so you can go trough them quickly. There are plenty there, no reason to ever fly one twice. So don't, they are a lot more fun if you don't know what's going to happen. During the flight you can use the 'F10' radio menu to find out: Your score for the mission so far. What you are expected to do next. Get a helping hand by seeing your ground speed and the elapsed mission time down to the second. You will not experience or see any combat during this flight. 'Interesting Flights' uses the MOOSE scripting framework and Open Maps. WHERE TO GET THE MISSIONS FROM Please read the thread linked above if you don't know what this is all about! You can download the missions from a shared DropBox folder here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/mzic1uoxnyofgm3/AADJTks7pN0nmj1CqpmqUy5oa?dl=0

  8. I've added missions for the TF-51D too. They can be found in the same place as the P-51 missions.
  9. Today I added the TF-51D to the list of planes. I also fixed some radio frequency display issues on both variants of the L-39.
  10. I've just finished uploading new missions with the radio frequencies fixed. Thanks for the heads up and the screenshots too!
  11. I think it's a fantastic idea too, I'll get it done in the next couple of days.
  12. Ok, I got the flight frequency from the group.frequency attribute for the flight. I've noticed that some aircraft do weird things with their own flight frequency so from now on I'll just show your own frequency to be whatever channel 0 is. I think that will work well, thanks again for taking the time to post the screenshots.
  13. Thank you for that! I will take care of it in the next few days. I'm not sure what I've done with your own flight frequency. I'll look into that too.
  14. I've just fixed the issue where the L-39 flight plan used imperial units. Sorry about that!
  15. Hi everyone, today I uploaded 500 missions for the L-39 (both models) and the C-101: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=174143 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=174142 Thank you all for your help getting these ready. I've only got three more fixed wing aircraft to go before I start on the helicopters: MiG-21 (mission file already provided). M-2000 (mission file already provided). F-5E (no mission file yet). Can I please ask someone that owns the F-5E to make up a mission file like I've described here ? https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=2894456&postcount=33 It doesn't take too long and I would really appreciate it. I'm a bit of a completionist!
  16. Hi everyone, although I don't own the L-39 I wanted to make my generator work with it. I had some help in the 'Interesting Missions' main thread from lots of members that provided me with mission templates for each aircraft. I was able to use those templates to generate the missions BUT as I don't own the L-39 module I wasn't able to get any screenshots. So I've used screenshots taken in modules that I DO have, I would love it if someone could post some screenshots of the maps, frequencies and flight plan in the L-39 so I could update the first post with real L-39 screenshots.

  20. That's handy!
  21. It would be a very big zip! You should just download some at the difficulty level that you think you want to try. Also, if you download one big zip you are unlikely to go back and get newer files and it's my aim to constantly improve these so I want you to go back and get 'fresh' ones!
  22. Hope you enjoy them Precog!
  23. Anyway, speaking of super-detailed aircraft, I made the missions for the A-10C today: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2899712#post2899712
