Hi all, Just curious (cannot find the information elsewhere), has the Mig-21 a togglable pilot in the cockpit ? I'm asking this because I'm not very confortable with empty cockpits.

I thought I explained clearly the problem. So again. I had two DCS folders in my "Users" folders. One in the "Admin" folder, the other one in the "default" folder. I deleted the one in the "default" folder ---> problems gone.

UPDATE and a very important one (at least for me) ;-) So, I've deleted my C/Users/Defaut/Saved games/DCS/ and I've tried some quick missions just some minutes ago. Torque is back, realistic FM's too, I can get spins and break again my Merlins, it looks that the game is 100% operational again !!!!! :-) So, to guys having experienced problems like me since the last big patch, try to delete this folder if you find it.

Hi all, I think I've found a possible explanation of the config troubles some of us have experienced since the latest patches. On my pc, I'm "admin". So, I looked into my C/Users/Admin/Saved games/DCS/Screenshots folder and I saw some recent screenshots I've taken. By curiosity, I looked also into my C/Users/Defaut/Saved games/DCS/Screenshots and I saw too some other recent screenshots (NOT the same ones like in the other screenshots folder). Is it so possible, since the latest patches, that the game get confused with the settings, sometimes on "easy" sometimes on "realistic", simply because it doesn't look always in the same config folder? Is there a way for instance to force the game to look only into the C/Users/Admin.... ? PS: btw, my C/Users/Admin/Apps Data/Local/DCS folder is empty !

Hi all, Because of numerous problems, I've decided to uninstall the game and make a fresh install (I've the 1.52. Problems: 1: RevoUninstaller doesn't see anything to uninstall. 2: So I used the ED uninstall of my Windows menu, game gone, but it is stlll there. 3: I also looked into the DCS files without finding any uninstalling exe. So, simple question, how to uninstall the game properly ?

Just a question for the uninstall process. I will do it with Revo Uninstaller which does a very good work at it, usually finding all the files needed to be deleted. But are there some folders I should search for to be sure everything is gone ?

In the end, I think I may have a problem in my files, perhaps the update mixed something ? In fact, I just installed JGSME. Tried to install a skin and a mod, no problem within JGSME. But the game doesn't take them in function. Tried also to install the skin manually in the appropriate folder: the game doesn't see the skin. As I don't know what to do with all these problems (skins not seen; engine too strong; no torque), I will simply do a fresh install. Oh, what the pain with my slow connection !

Did some tests again. Looks like the game set some "easy" engine settings even in realistic mode (like the torque). Even when flying ruthlessly, no success in breaking my engine. Strange. Must do some more tests.

NightRush, before the last patch, it was possible to "overpressure" the engine rpm's when not managing correctly the rpm throttle. It could happen pretty quickly, with an impressive "schlack" when the engine died. It was cool and realistic, I think too. Now, the engine rpm's stay within the safe limites, no matter what stupid moves one can make. Bug ? Where's my Mustang b.....? Not interested in gentle girls ;-)

Hi all, Since the latest small update, I cannot go more than 3000 rpm with the P-51 engine, so basically I cannot break my engine, if I don't fly carefully. Also, on lower rpm's, the engine is stuck at 1500 rpm. Like the engine was set by the game to stay within the safe limits. Am I alone? Am I doing something wrong ? PS: the rpm command is mapped on the axis of my Thrusmaster T16000. It worked perfect before the latest update.

When flying the quick "hot start" from Batumi with the TF-51D, still no torque and aircraft flying like some kind of helo ! When starting from the "Alamo mission", the torque is there, with all the effects. Almost like the game changes its mind about "easy" or "realistic" settings from one mission to the other one ! PS: tested with the latest update from some minutes ago.

"Once in the air both versions appear to be exactly the same to me." Logically, when in the air and flying faster, the weaker torque would be less noticeable, but nevertheless still affecting the global FM.

Thanks for looking into it :-) Finally, I don't think the "read only" theory is right, as if the main folder "Administrator" is read only, the DCS config files within it are not. In fact, when I change something in the game setup, the text files are correctly updated, but without effect when in the game.

Update: I also test the command line method to remove the "read only" of the folder, no way. So, I used Application Mover" to move the DCS folder to a not "read only" folder. Still no torque. So, an advice to DCS. For the next patch, as such a problem can happen on some configs, please, please, please, let by defaut the settings of the aircraft to no aid (after patching, the aid on the P-51's is at 100). This way, guys like me will have by defaut a "no aid" aircraft and the guys without such setup problems will be able, if they want, to select aids if needed.
