I also did take offs few hours today, and I didn't succeed once. I find taking off impossible for me. Landings are fine.. Edit. Don't get me wrong; I love the plane, but these take off problems are driving me crazy..

The hard part of landing is that I can not see the runway because spit has a very long nose. I can land 99 times of 100 just fine but my take offs succeed only 1/10. That sucks..

I can land allright, but taking off is very hard for me.

DCS is a combat simulator... well not for me. :) I do not do combat. I just fly around and enjoy. I suck at dogfighting. Even average AI shots me down every time.

Look at this video: There is a finnish GA-pilot flying a mustang, and with no experience, lands a 2-pointer. That would NEVER be possible with DCS P-51D!

A person with actual real world Spitfire experience has approved also A2A's plane FM, and it behaves way different..

How do you know it's perfect? Have you flown a real spit?

It seems that the latest patch killed the campaign. Anyone else noticed this?

Yes I did all that, but I didn't think of is that I can use awacs to determine where the enemy is..

Now that I learned to navigate I'd like to find somebody to fight with. In 3rd mission I fly bout 30mins to the waypoint India. There is lots of radio chatter and somebody calls "fights on!", but I find no aircraft from that area. I buzz around 5 mins, and the lead calls terminate. It happened three times now. I know I'm in the right area... Whats going on? :helpsmilie:

Yes, I have read all the tutorials and watched tons of youtube videos, but I still don't get it. :D I feel stupid.

I'm wiser now. But there is lot to learn. For example how do you know what heading to turn after you reach the radial?

I bought this BFM Campaign. I thought I could navigate. Apparently I can not. Briefing maps and instructions make no sense to me. Nice :(

Hi there! I'm about to buy this one. I love my F-5 and I can handle her pretty well; I can start, take off, fly, navigate and land with no problem. I can even shoot down russian bombers. However I suck at dogfighting. I was wondering how hard is this campaign for people like me? Am I going to stuck on mission 1? I know this costs only 10$, but I want to know is it money spent well... I thought I was. I studied this morning a little INS-alignment, and I figured that there was something I did wrong. I tried mission 2, and I did get contact to my lead. Thank you, and sorry... :D
