  1. Well it's early access so you will need to let others deal with the A2A threats. You could Wild Weasel if you wanted to get the attention off of the guys blowing stuff up.
  2. Same.
  3. Ahh completely missed the second half of that question:doh:
  4. -Turn Qual just means that I can start the APU/Engines to be able to run BITs or test systems that can't be tested on ground power. -It's possible only if you have ground power connected. You can't have them on with just battery power. -For ATIS, I'm not a pilot, but I'd assume they'd get that during their briefings and also after startup when radios are online for an updated ATIS. -I can't speak on the last question because I have never really dealt with civil aviation. I hope I was able to answer some questions!
  5. Other than the EA manual and NATOPS I don't think so. With that being said, I'd be glad to hop in MP with you and walk you through systems if you'd like. Just PM me.
  6. I am ground crew and a turn qual on F18s. I can tell you, you do not need to contact ATC in order to start up. The only time you have to contact them for start up is on an aircraft carrier and then yes, ground crew contacts flight deck control for that.
  7. ATC does not care when you start up. They only care if you are going to be taxiing/departing.
  8. Not sure.... I'm not having that issue. Any way you can post a video of it?
  9. No problem. I turn these things for a living so if you need any help feel free to PM me!
  10. When on the BIT page click the OSB for FCS and it will take you to another page for the FCS and MC systems. On the top left of that page you will see FCS. If you hold 'Y' and press this at the same time it will run an I-BIT for the FCS. It is an initiated built in test. It tests the flight controls to make sure they are operating correctly. If you look out to your wings you will see everything moving around.
  11. - In A/G bombing in CCIP mode, after pickle it will switch into AUTO.
  12. Wags, I am an electrician on the US Hornet C variant and none of them have backlighting as stated above.
  13. Ok so maybe I am doing something wrong. I looked in the manual but haven't seen anything about it and I have (briefly) looked through the forums. When bombing in CCIP, with the TDC assigned to HUD, when I pickle the bomb it changes my bombing mode into auto for some reason so I cant release additional bombs. Normal?
  14. 22 and 23 are to the FLAPS switch. Just checked inside of DCS.
