Did this mission break for anyone else after the latest Patch. Me and buddy can't get it working as a headless server run mission. When we connect as clients it never starts. Was working fine yesterday. But today no joy and when we deleted the saved state file and restarted/rebooted with a fresh run of the mission it just wouldn't work at all.
Started wondering if the latest patch broke moose or something.

Guys it appears PhoenixBvo hasn't posted since June of 2018.

What does this mean actually?

I just got done reading it. Phew...

The attention to detail on the bomb racks. With MK-82's on the F18, F16 you look out over your wing and you can see the arming wire to the fuze. Holy-wow!
I did a double take in VR the first time I saw that. Forgot where I was going and just stared at it for awhile.

+1
Looking forward. Hope they release some news about it and talk about their concept. Are we just getting a more stable version or are we getting a realistic ATC simulation?
Support for multiple runways, all the different channels, different approaches/formation landings and emergencies would be nice.
And maybe a "hello" and "have a good day" from the tower from time to time would be nice. Maybe different voices incl. Couple female ones to make it more dynamic.
Or allow people to add voices to the pack. ;)

Is there any mention of AWACS, ABCCC, and JSTARS coming at some later date after Airfields? Just curious.

EDIT: And for some reason I cannot get the YouTube tags to work, so just click the link below:
Nice video... you just put the code after the = sign. (i.e. DpzdmLY59i4) in the Youtube brackets.

I believe in a completely redone DCS 3.0, I hope it won't take years and I hope that after finishing the F18 and the F16 they will concentrate only on the simulator and not on other modules.
While I can understand the sentiment. This is not realistic. The doors do not stay open if they don't make sales. Without infusions of cash its layoff time, shut the doors and thanks for all the fish.
Repeatedly in reddit/youtube now, they have said they have put 50% (60+) of the developers onto core systems. Its getting done... its just not visible to us (but one of the BIG complaints just got a refresh (AI) and is still being improved.)
Plus rewriting/refactoring the code base in 4 million lines of code on an active system and making sure other systems are not impacted is not to be taken lightly. I'm sure at times if feels like your searching for a corner in a round room.
Maybe they need to put a status board up to show progress on the core elements of the game they're working on. Then we could see the sad fact that sometimes something they do breaks something else or they take 2 steps forward 1 step back. Or just don't seem to make progress on something for a while because of integration, complexity, yada yada yada.
Though with the amount of angry complaints that people make I can see why they might really be shy/nervous to do such a thing. Especially because in a way people will try to drive ED's development into their favorite part of the game they want fixed/implemented. Which would be counter productive to what they see as essential to bring the whole together.

You need to be in Open Beta to get the F16C at the moment.

Always check this thread for news.

Someone is always asking for status. Sometimes a bunch of people are asking for status. So I recommend reading back a couple page.

I've also had this happen and wondered what it was and couldn't find it in the manual.

The only thing I fear, as someone who grew up in a family with business men, knowing how things financially work is the rubber band effect. The more you bascally borrow from the future, the harder it gets to pay it all back one day.
Let's hope ED and Nick Grey know this old law of economics and don't stretch the rubber band further than it wants to.
This has crossed my mind as well.

Nick Grey sort of answered your question on the Reddit forums about a month ago.
1. without early access we would spend 50% more time and money to engineer the products as developers work better and faster with direct user feedback and when they see their product in the market.
2. we would not be profitable.
3. we would be vulnerable to customer 'fade' as they switch to other products or genres.
4. we would not enjoy the 'right' to imperfection
Also... look at the scope of what they're trying to achieve...
Eye watering.... along with other realities we face such as the need for permanent innovation and engine renewal. Boyond daily bug fixing, the fundamental issues such as new graphics challenges (Vulkan, effects, mutli-threading etc), network improvements, sound improvements, new damage engine, dynamic campaign, web RTC, new game statistics engine, new weather engine, etc etc are all part of our roadmap and more than 50% of our staff work on these elements which are not directly module related. Without 'early access' few of the these could be done and yes you are right, we only have this avenue to finance ED as well as my personal investment.

Thank god you guys are talking about this, I spent an hour trying to figure out why it wasn't working. Decided to see if someone brought it up yet. So we just need to wait. ;)
Nineline or BigNewy might want to say WIP, and maybe OP can put that in the title.

I would post a gif if this was on disco- Hold on
Fixed that for you...

Thank you ED. Been really enjoying the Viper in VR. :D

Ditto in clean config.

Wonderful. Thanks ED. :)

Seems fine to me but of course the A10C seems mamillion to me. So wonder how we baseline our IPD? Is that even possible?
FYI... I'm using the CV1 Rift.

Not having tested it yet, but curios if you have a TACAN channel selected and in the right mode? I wont be going back in the sim for at least another hour.
