  2. My 1060 is already on the way:) Envoyé de mon Nexus 5 en utilisant Tapatalk
  3. Needs buddy lasing or ground laser designator.
  4. Thank you all for your inputs. I'm still running single screen (+ one for HELIOS), so the 1060 will do the job just fine I think. For about 100 CAD less than the 1070 I think it's a good compromise.
  5. Worth mentioning that it is also a real-life feature of the F-5, the nosewheel sterring button can be used as PTT when airborne.
  6. What about the Pascal architecture of the GTX10 series? Is it worth it? Will DCS profit from it? Envoyé de mon Nexus 5 en utilisant Tapatalk
  7. Like I said budget is an issue here. I just can not afford a 800 CAD+ card! No doubt about it! But thanks for the advice!
  8. For budget reasons, I prefer buying for couple years before upgrading again. I still have a GeForce 660. Not bad, but having some sluttering and slowdowns with DCS2 especially. I am looking to buy the 1060. Is it a good choice? or should I spend few dollars more on a 1070? I exclusively fly DCS. i7-3770 @ 3.4 GHz 16 GB RAM 27" 1080P monitor (will upgrade this one as well later) Thanks,

  10. In comparison, this is F-5E Tiger III, with upgraded avionics and refueling probe.

  12. Correct me if i'm worng, but from my understanding: AUTO: for take offs and landings UP: Above 260 knots FXD: For maximum fuel efficiency, when no sudden or sharp manuevers needed (during dogfight or evasive maneuvers, for example)
  13. From Wikipedia: "After winning the International Fighter Aircraft competition in 1970, a program aimed at providing effective low-cost fighters to American allies, Northrop introduced the second-generation F-5E Tiger II in 1972. This upgrade included more powerful engines, higher fuel capacity, greater wing area and improved leading edge extensions for a better turn rate, optional air-to-air refueling, and improved avionics including air-to-air radar." If I remember correctly the version we are getting won't have air-to-air refueling. It is still a great quality module, though. It's pretty complete already. There is not much missing and it's very fun to fly.
  14. Still a very early demo/prototype. Really looking forward to this. https://newsroom.intel.com/chip-shots/intel-unveils-project-alloy/
  15. Very interesting concept. [ame] [/ame]
  16. Does anyone know of a HELIOS profile already done for the F-5? Or maybe in the making? Thanks,

  21. The problem with VR in flight simulation is that we will still need to use a keyboard for some shortcuts.
