Whenever I start an F-15 C mission, I'm shown the map, going to any other view is impossible, and all the aircraft, including the one I'm meant to be flying, are shown as AI aircraft. I had a similar issue like this with the Su-27 and Ka-50 before the most recent update, and was able to solve that by uninstalling and reinstalling the modules. This time, even uninstalling the module is impossible through the game itself. Removing the folder works, but I'm not able to reinstall it - where the 'Install' button should be is a 'Buy' button. Enabling it and re-enabling it doesn't work. Strangely, in the module manager, I'm unable to see the DRM either. EDIT: Another strange thing: DCS doesn't recognise when I press the Tab button, even though other games do. Here are my logs: Logs.zip

Something pretty odd is going on with my install of DCS in 1.5. When I start a mission as the Su-27 or Ka-50, it takes me to the map screen. I can't go to the cockpit, and I don't see the player aircraft icon, so I think that for some reason the game no longer sees the Flanker or Blackshark as playable. I think it's that or the relevant mission files have been altered somehow.

If they make a Vietnam map with appropriate AI units, I'd buy it :)

The skins here are so good that they make me want to buy the K-4 before the Normandy map is even finished :thumbup:

It's probably the closest I'll get to being an Air Force pilot.

^^^ You're right, it does sound like it makes the transition from BVR to WVR a lot easier. I guess I'll be keeping the ECM. Thanks for your help :)

So, I recently read a guide to Su-27 combat that stated that the best way to use the Su-27 is while WVR, locking on targets with the OLS-27, not RADAR, and using IR missiles. I didn't like it, but I had to agree, as NATO and their allies have access to AMRAAMs, while the Su-27 only has R-27 ERs and R-27 Rs for BVR, and they need to stay locked on the target (which probably just had it's AMRAAM pitbull, and is currently diving away from you and popping chaff :mad:). Upon learning this, I wanted to have as many IR missiles as possible. So, is it worth losing the ECM pods to have two more R-73s? And just a general question about ECM, when do I use it? Right now I use it when enemy RADAR pops up on my RWR, but is this the right way to use it? And what exactly does it do? Does it reduce the range that bandits and SAMs can engage me at? If so, I might keep them on the Flanker.

Hey guys, I'm back with more F-15 trouble, so much so that I'm finding it easier to fly the Ka-50 :( I'm having trouble with the autopilot. I activate the attitude autopilot and the altitude autopilot and... the plane acts the same as it was before. I tried trimming the Eagle out, but I can't get it right, resulting in me waving the stick around insanely while in flight (especially with TC on) :joystick: Any idea of what's going wrong? Are there any instruments that show the amount of trim my Eagle has, and what amount of trim should I apply to get it crusing perfectly with minimum stick input?

Thanks pr1malr8ge, using your tips I managed to shoot down an Su-27, only expending two AIM-120 Cs, and evaded the two R-27 ERs he shot at me.

I had this problem. Unplugging my stick and plugging it back in did the trick.

I see, thanks for the info. I really wish that training missions were included with the F-15, because I honestly can't evade missiles with the F-15. I know how to in the Su-27, but there are training missions for that. I guess I just put on the ECM as needed, and keep my target in my 3 or 9 o'clock?

Okay. What's the range of the heatseekers that Russian fighters carry? Su-27s have been getting me with them from BVR.

Hey guys, I'm having trouble with the F-15 C's RWR. According to the manual, missiles should appear on the RWR display. However, they never do for me, and I end up being swatted out of the sky by missiles that I thought I'd evaded. How can I tell when a missile is tracking me, and when I've lost it?

Thanks, but that's not it. The axis controls section only shows controls mapped to my Logitech Attack 3, and I don't have any other controllers for my PC.

I bought and installed the Su-27 from Steam today, but after installing, all the aircraft I own (Su-25 T, TF-51 D, F-15 C, Ka-50, and Su-27) roll uncontrollably to the right, even though they were fine before I got the Su-27. I tried fixing it by altering the joystick deadzones, but this just resulted in the aircraft being unable to roll left - the last thing you want in a dogfight. Trim doesn't work for the Su-27 or F-15 C, either. It looks like DCS reads my joystick (Logitech Attack 3) as being halfway right when it's actually dead centre. Does anyone know how I might be able to fix this? In the meantime, DCS is unplayable for me :(

I've noticed that tracks won't actually show events as they happened, and can vary massively from the actual mission. It's very annoying. Can't wait for the fix, 1.5 has been awesome so far :pilotfly:

Well, this introduction is somewhat late, but here goes. I'm just a teenager from Australia who likes military history and aircraft, and admiration for those in the military (which is why I joined the AAFC). My favourite aircraft is the Messerschmitt Bf-109 E-4 :joystick:
