Yes, fingers crossed for the changelog. I hope they removed some game-like features from the optical sight. Maybe Leatherneck will release the changelog together with the announcement of the other two planes in some kind of September update?

I hope not, but the F4U has been hinted quite a lot. So, bummer IMO.

Their website is down again. Well atleast for me.

Cobra, please... I already had to have myself institutionalized in a mental hospital because of the wait, and I want to go get out of there badly. The coffee tastes like crap here. Oh no, the nurses are coming back again! I don't want my meds, they make me feel funny! Please Cobra, safe ME!!!!

Thanks for sharing your technique Kontiuka. This only further indicates how much I don't know yet about the Sabre  . I will give this a try someday. Did it take you a lot of practice? Thanks, Ryan.

People, people. Let's not forget that we're all just decent human beings here. No need to flame. Let's act like adults here.

Nope, sorry mate. I think this is the only way to do it. A real shame though, it would be such a relief to not worry about overspeeding.

Great video!! Awesome Top Gun manoeuvre at 1:25 :) Tripy music though...

[FIXED] Emergency Landing Gear Extension
Ryan Legend replied to Destroyer37's topic in Bugs and Problems
I don't think that feature is implemented yet. I'm not really sure though... The Sabre is still a Beta product, so it's not complete yet. I guess we will have to wait and see what updates they bring with DCS 1.5. -
MIG-15bis Left and Right Console Switches Covered Up.
Ryan Legend replied to chuckgrimes's topic in DCS: MiG-15bis
Instead of Left Windows key you can also use the numpad 0 key, however, currently this feature is not working on the KOREAN WAR server. :( -
Or what about huge bombers like the B-52 or Tu-95? I would pay good money for such a module.

An AI would be able to think and create it's own ideas based of the data that it receives. An AI would be able to "program" itself and create dynamic algorithms, so it can "learn". This AI isn't perfect, you can't learn something without making mistakes first. This is what practice is for. This machine is not so different from a humen being. You receive data from the world arround you all the time, based of that data you will make decissions. How you make that decission doesn't matter, you're algorithms are dynamic and they change all the time. An example of this is growing up. You're not the same person you were as when you were at the age of 8 or 12. This is because you learn, but to learn you have to make mistakes. Now imagene a computer handeling a weapon, this computer is NOT intelegent. It is in no way like the AI that I described before. In fact, this piece of software is the exact opposite of the other one. It receives data and with that data it only has to fill in the blanks. (A fixed algorithm.) It's simple and thus there are no mistakes. It doesn't have to learn, or reprogram itself, it doesn't have self-awerness or emotions. It can make simple dececions autonomously based entierly of pure logic and mathematics. The dececion it will make will always be the best one. Because it is programmed to do that. I'd rather have this computer operate a weapon than a very complex humen being, basing its dececions mostly on emotions, that has to make mistakes to improve itself and gets corrupted when he gets to much power. (god complex). Its in our inner nature to go to war, machines don't have that. just my two cents and personal cake to the party :)

A MiG31 is a two crew tandam intercepter. Personnaly, I would prefer the '31 over the '25 because the '31 would be a lot more effective against all those FC3 fighters, hence, more multiplayer fun! This would be the case if I had any friends who liked aviation and stuff to fly with, I'm 18, thats just not gonna happen. :( So, MiG25 it is. ^^ This... You can almost classify it as an SSTO :pilotfly: Although the 31 would be more of use than the 25, the 25 just has some magic to it.

I know this wont probably be one of the two unknown aircraft, but is anyone else crossing their fingers for a MiG - 25 besides me?
-
I wonder, did the earlier MiGs have the same negative G's problem too? Like the '15?

Also putting the anti surge doors switch on manual while you're restarting the engine in mid-air could help. Just don't forget to switch it back to auto when you're done. If you exeed the IAS speed limit of 1300 Km/h to often in your flight, you might damage your engine. Wich results in being unable to restart it again.

This is actually very normal. When you pull hard on the stick your AOA increases drasticly. When you do this while making a turn, what happens is that the inner wing of the turn goes a little bit slower than your outer wing, hence the spin when you stall (the inner wing produces less lift than the outer wing). I think this is the way it works, but don't take my word for it. I might be wrong. There is no AOA gauge in the Sabre, so for all you know, you might be increasing your AOA way to much.

I had a broken gear ones too. I got shot up by anti air and only my nosegear would come out, had to retract it so I could make a belly landing. However, I never noticed any problems with the UV maps. Juancio, could give us a bit more information on that topic, perhaps a screenshot? If you do and the problem is with your installation we could help you with that.

Camera position problem when in multiplayer.
Ryan Legend replied to Ryan Legend's topic in Bugs and Problems
I just went on the aerobatics server, hopped in the mig15 and everything worked splended. So, I guess it is a server related issue. to bad though, I really like the KOREAN WAR server. zaelu and blooze, thank you for your help. I have the answer that I was looking for :) . Ryan. -
Camera position problem when in multiplayer.
Ryan Legend replied to Ryan Legend's topic in Bugs and Problems
Zaelu, Thank you very much for your reply. As for the aircraft type, I meant the MiG - 15Bis. (Next time I'll post something, I will make sure that I named the aircraft type that I'm talking about :) ) The problem only occurs in multiplayer and the only server I used with the MiG15 is the KOREAN WAR server. Maybe you're right and the problem is caused by the enforced server values. I will try the MiG on another server today and see if that helps. If it helps and the problem is indeed caused by the KOREAN WAR server, should I contact the server hoster/owner? Thanks again for your time and help. -
Hello, Maybe a few monts ago, I don't know exactly, I started to have problems with the position of the camera in the cockpit. This problem only occurs in multiplayer. When I spawn, the position of the camera is slightly lower then when normal. So, when I press Lctrl + Spacebar, to "unlock" the gun trigger, the camera should automaticly position itself infront of the gun sight. however, in my case it places itself infront of that brown sphere like thing, directly below the gunsight. Also, pressing 0+3 on the numpad doesn't point the camera to the switches on the rightside panel. Same goes for every other number combination, like 0+1, leftside panel. The camera does not respond to these keycommands. I've been trying to overcome the problem by manualy placeing the camera infront of the gun sight and the switches by deactivating the mouse click cockpit and moving the camera to it's correct and normal position. But it is still very frustrating. Thanks in advance, Ryan.

Hi Erin! Flying in the 104th server is indeed a bit of a challenge. I've been using the MiG-21 since the day it was released on steam and I know how to use it well. I would love to help you out. I live in the Netherlands, so we share the same time zone. Looking forward to hear from you.
