  1. Hi, I was trying to figure out a way to punish bad habits on my multiplayer server missions. For example I'd like to impose a hard deck when attacking enemy ground units. I want set set an engine failure on units that go below such a hard deck, but it appears that the SET FAILURE action only applies to aircraft assigned as player rather than client. Are there other clever ways to gently punish bad habits to help get some of my mates to observe safer methods of attack?
  2. Razo+r, That was helpful. I was able to find the default RWR sounds here; D:\DCS World\Sounds\Effects\Aircrafts\Cockpits\RWR Thanks!
  3. Hi, I'm looking for the RWR sounds that indicate radar, radar lock, and missile launch warnings to help me and others in training for threat levels. I've looked for sounds in the obvious locations; D:\DCS World\Sounds\... but there doesn't seem to be anything related to RWR threat warnings. I also found a LUA file here; D:\DCS World\Sounds\Sounders\Aircraft\Avionics\RWR.lua which seems to point to some sdef (sound definition?) files here; D:\DCS World\Sounds\sdef\Aircrafts\Cockpits\RWR\ but I don't know what to do with these files. Does anyone know where I can find WAV or OGG files of the RWR threats, or how to use the sdef files to reproduce the RWR threat sounds? Thanks!
  4. Hi Dedde01, Not sure if your question was directed at me. I don't see that as an option in my nVidia Control Panel. Maybe you meant the nVidia Shadowplay options? I'll have to check later and I'll try to run the same experiment in Arma III or Rise of Flight to see if the problem happens in those games which would suggest that Shadowplay is the culprit. Thanks.
  5. Hi, I've noticed that video recording and screen shots using nVidia Shadowplay show a distinct haze or low contrast which does not resemble in game graphics. As an experiment, I played a recording I made with nVidia ShadowPlay while running a hardware monitor overlay using MSI Afterburner. I then replayed the video recording in full screen using VLC and re-positioned the still active MSI AB hardware monitor overlay below the original from the video recording. It's very obvious in this example that something is significantly reducing the contrast in the recordings. I've not noticed this in previous versions of DCS, but unfortunately I cannot run this experiment on the previous versions now that they've been deleted after the update to DCS OB 2.5. Here is an example of the screenshot, the lower MSI monitor looks correct, everything else has lower contrast and/or some haziness; Since this does not appear in the DCS 2.5 game, it's not a big deal. It just seems odd that recordings are lower contrast/hazy.
  6. Hi, I was curious if solar eclipses were modeled in DCS World so I found some information on a total solar eclipse that occurred in the Caucasus region back in 1954. https://www.timeanddate.com/eclipse/map/1954-june-30 Min-Vody is about 20km North of Pyatigorsk according to Google Earth. I created a simple mission in 1.5.7 and set the date and time to 30 June 1954, 16:30 and set an airstart over Min-Vody at 7500m and flew around for a bit. I didn't see any evidence of a solar eclipse or dark shadow passing along the ground. I played with the mission start time, adding and subtracting an hour with similar results. Any ideas if I'm doing something wrong, or are solar eclipses simply not modeled in DCS?
