  1. Do you have a source for this? Contrary to popular believe someone on the internet having an opinion is not a very trustworthy source.
  2. So you would rather lose the aircraft instead of bringing it to maintenance? That's also why the paddle switch is on the joystick to not ever use it, because you put functionality on the stick that you should never use? NATOPS explains use of the Paddle switch. Also the canadian hornets are rated for 9G.
  3. Why is the 9x immune to flares? Everyone seems to agree on this, but I can't find anything that would validate that claim.
  4. I really like this kind of visualisation of the missile performance. It adds great to the performance charts.
  5. How to ruin my excitement in 2 sentences.
  6. I agree. Or maybe reduce the mission time a bit? The specialised are getting old after 4 hours.
  7. Yes that's true, but in the acceleration/drag department the M7 is way better. The M7 reaches it's top speed faster and keeps speed longer. There is a brief moment at 2NM where the R27R is faster, but it also takes longer to reach 2NM. The M7 reaches a certain range faster and has overall 25% more lethal range. I asssume the glider in your example is not lethal at hundreds of miles, so I don't know what your example should tell me.
  8. Even your data supports what I've said. The Aim7M has 25% more range than the R27R, while the R27ER has only 20% more range than the AIM7, and is even closer to the 530D. I don't understand why haveing 20% more range is vastly overpowered, while having 25% more range is pretty balanced.
  9. Besides the problem that chaff is like flare for radar guided missiles, you have forgotten that every missile needs a seeker, because the INS isn't working perfectly. In DCS this error isn't modelled which has the interesting side effect, that the 120 would be a better missile without seeker.
  10. 1. The performance of the 27ER is closer to the 7M than the 7M to the 27R. So when this is a rape fest for you, you should try the SU27, 2. Red doesn't fly the SU33 because the missile is a little bit better than the 7M, they fly it because the missile is way better than the 27R. 3. Not everyone flies the M2k or like to. What's the point on flying on the Red side when everybody just has to fly the M2k which is on both sides. And before you blame me about my bias, I'm flying on blue and never touch the SU-33 because I can't stand the FM.
  11. I'm not talking about my own experience, but the missile performance charts other people have made. And everyone can validate those charts or point out mistakes. Saying experience is different is just pointless. Flying under the same conditions missiles behave the same.
  12. Sorry, but your experience doesn't matter. The missiles in this game behave the same for all of us. No matter if you are a veteran or if this is your very first day. We can all jump in an F15 fly at 2000m ASL, 800kph and 15°C and fire a M7 and the missile will behave the same for everyone. And the way how it's implemented in the game at the moment is simply that the performance difference between a M7 and a R27R is bigger than the difference between a M7 and a R27ER. Everyone can test it, and it can be repeated over and over again with the same results.
  13. Yes, it is tiny, but it's imo quite notable and can make the difference. It would level the playingfield a bit. Personally I have an easier time defeating Bs than Cs.
  14. As we all know once in a while comes up a thread how bad the R27ER is, but the last time a interesting suggestion was made that I don't see discussed by the online community. Why is nobody testing a map with the 120C banned? The problem atm regarding radar missiles is that they can be ranked and the perforamce difference is often really big, with the closest matchup probably between the 530d and 7. So for every matchup we play there is one missile that is simply the best in every way. But when we take the 120C out of the equation, the R27ER suddenly becomes the kinetically best missile while the 120B is still an ARH with a better chaff resistance. Removing the 120C would bring the performance of all 3 4th gen fighters closer to each other. No, I don't say that I want the 120C overall banned or something, but why is this topic never discussed? I don't know a server or a event that runs a map with only the 120C beeing banned. And even in the last topic it's not really beeing discussed and I wonder why? So I'm making this one here to bring a little bit attention to it, because I think that's something worth testing.
  15. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=134727 It's in German, but the charts are self explaining.
