  1. That is exactly what I have described there. To quote it again for the sake of clarity:
  2. Apologies for the poor description of the information being shared, but that doesn't change the core fact that information is being shared between aircraft that are not capable of doing that in game nor in real life. For the sake of the record I will correct that inaccuracy. Do you agree that is a more accurate description of the information exchanged by this mod?
  3. You've come to an interesting conclusion given I have been using it for a few days setup as a remote display on my old laptop running lubuntu. Would you mind expanding upon what information is "absolutely wrong"?
  4. Looking through the links you provided there, operational deployment was ~ early 2000s... am I reading that right? We can assume the F15c we have modeled in game is ~ mid 90s given the presence of the AIM-120C but the lack of the of AIM-9X. Following that train of thought, am I right in coming to the conclusion an operational data link would not have been integrated into the F15c modeled in DCS?
  5. Did a quick write up on some of the specific reasons why I have a problem with this mod in a MP environment. *Corrected to better describe the information described of DLink in a multiplayer environment
  6. (1) Improved interceptors sound kinda cool, wasn't aware there was only 1 interceptor at Beslan... seems kind of odd. (2) From everything I've read on other server posts there are stability issues with CA units... given the stability issues last round I'm not sure this is a good idea. (3) Kinda like the interceptors... how does the BUK shape up compared to the KUB? Looking at the hoggit wiki the stats seem pretty similar, I assume the tracking is more accurate and the missile more agile? (4) AFAIK this isn't possible. Last I looked the model enlargement setting is universal across the server, if the mission is saved as "small"... all the connected clients will have model enlargement set to small as well. Though I do believe the actual effectiveness of model enlargement still varies depending on the resolution each client actually renders the game at. I honestly don't believe any of the changes made were with the intention of stacking the odds for one faction or the other. Its unfortunate the mig21's radar is broken but the buddy spike team couldn't have foreseen that. Has a time frame on a fix been outlined? IMO it far too early to make the assumption that this round will be a lesson in the art of seal clubbing... concerns have been raised about numbers for each faction, I don't believe any of us can make an educated assumption of what the actual numbers will be until the round is underway. Last round squadrons just weren't a major factor, and they are the ones who tend to signup ahead of time... it came down to warm bodies on TS for basic coordination. As I type this the server has only red population, this round is anyone's game at this point. Threatening to sit out the round because of perceived imbalances before the round even starts... it just stacks the odds against the faction you intend to fight for.

  8. Well I personally preferred the limited A2A weapons selection from the previous round that is not my main concern atm... Leavu3 was recently brought to my attention, more specifically just how easily it can be abused in a MP setting. ED seems to be sitting on their hands as far as any sort of official response... leaving individual servers to address the mod on their own. Hopefully ED steeps up and address it sooner rather than later. I have not had the opportunity to delve into this thread to see if leavu has been addressed at this point... but I'd be interested in hearing an official statement from blueflag in respect to its use. However, in my opinion it is far to easily abused in its current state and should not be allowed in the upcoming round.
  9. Awesome work... but this really has the potential to completely destroy competitive online play :/

    F-15E?

Interesting, didn't realize they had developed their own. Thanks for the info.

    F-15E?

Awesome thanks for the replies, I could be mistaken but I think I read that the A2G radar was being actively tested on the viggen? (or am I mistaken?)

    F-15E?

Are there any updates for the f-15E? I understand natural events have probably thrown a wrench in things.
  13. That is disappointing to say the least...
  14. Did I manage to completely miss the MVP voting?
  15. Mission: Armageddon GCI Test Comment on your GCI test, not sure if you have choppers placing the radars or they are preplaced... if they are preplaced though the picture over bullseye seems to be near nonexistent... doesn't seem to matter if the Bandits are at altitude or on the deck, worth noting the bullseye is in an very level area so I doubt terrain is the issue.
  16. Those numbers are pretty conclusive IMHO... REDFOR peaked at just the right time and managed to sustain right up until the clock struck zero. It seemed to me, be it I don't have the full picture as I am REDFOR, BLUEFOR may have suffered some morale issues with the large territory loss towards the end of the campaign... So back to point one... REDFOR peaked at the right time... BLUEFOR on the other hand bottomed out at the worst time possible. Good fights all around though, and special thanks to my REDFOR comrades who stuck through some pretty dark times for the big comeback... had my doubts from time to time but you all pulled through!
  17. This imo is a reasonable request... but if 5 or 10 people don't follow this idea no one is going to... as the situation stands people have to fight to get on the server during prime times, realistically if they see 5 or 10 people connected to the server they will want to claim their slot. Is there anyway for the server to simply not show up / accept connections until it is stable?
  18. And Red needs more US Players... its a cyclical argument at this point... I don't personally like the idea of player limits per side either... but if it drives people to contemplate switching factions in the following rounds it maybe something worth experimenting with.
  19. Sucks for anyone having to play against those odds... especially if they have to face them consistently. That's the problem I'm running into. I understand constant team balance isn't possible... but when you are forced to play against 4:1 3:1 odds when you are able to get on the server it gradually drags you down to the point where you just play something else... I don't have an answer to fix this or rather mitigate it some... but odds like that aren't "sustainable", people will be driven away.
  20. We just had some strangeness go down with the FK93 FARP at the last server restart. FARP was definitely RED at the 10 min save (was at mission switch as well)... but at server restart it was blue.
  21. You'll eat those words... just wait. That last mountain fight... went about as well as the first strike again the aliens in Independence Day... remember who won that one in the end
  22. REDFOR US TZ guys have a reasonable method to organize comms using stock TS. If you're a EURO REDFOR brother I'll try and get on at the next server restart and explain how we are doing it... I know some blue guys know it, but if you are blue and you don't know how I'll show you at the end of the round :D
  23. Forgot to edit my post, I managed to fix this by force installing combined arms. Bugs me for the key when I start up but the slot is usable again.
  24. I disconnected just to test this. Was able to reconnect and pick a slot without issues, no random disconnects either... so I don't know what the cause of the issues you're experiencing are.
