The problem has been fixed with the 1.5.3 update. As soon as you release the starter, the sound stops, just as it's supposed to be.

As Racoon already said, the problem has been fixed with the new 1.5.3 update. There's now an option in the menu with three gunsight modes: auto, cruise and combat.

I actually found a work-around, i center my view to the middle of the cockpit constantly and when i fold my sight, i center it again. It works with TrackIr so i kind of found a work-around for it. I do it by pressing shift and then 4,8,6 or 2 on the numpad ( i changed the default keybindings).

I also flew from Anapa to Batumi with the 109 at around 9km. I turned on the pitot heat before take off and turned it off after landing at Batumi. The flight also lasted one hour, but i didn't have any problems at all with that. The flight was also done in summer.

ah nice and do you know when it will be released? in 2.0 or maybe a bit sooner? thanks for your help

I have a question concerning the Revi 16B gunsight on the Bf-109 K4. When the sight is folded for a better view, the view immediately moves to the left and when it´s unfolded again, it moves to the right again. Is there any way to disable that so the view just stays the same? For me, it's really annoying, especially because i'm using TrackiR.

Ok, I found out that the sound stops if you pull the starter for a second time a few seconds after the engine has started.

Hello, When I start my 109 normally I can still hear the sound of the starter even after the engine has started an I stoppdl pulling the starter. When pulling the starter, it makes a high noise but the problem is that the noise just stays after I released the starter and started the engine. Does anyone else have the problem or maybe know a solution?

I checked both of it and i restarted it multiple times, also it´s pointing to the correct DCS World installation (Standard) but it somehow doesnt work. I can make a kneeboard for all aircrafts but not different kneeboards for each aircraft.

Kann sein, hab die andere Version noch nicht ausprobiert. Aber es läuft ja ohne Probleme wenn ich nichts mache also ist es nicht wirklich ein großes Problem.

I have the problem that i cant select different aircrafts apart from "General DCS World Kneeboard" and "Default Kneeboard" in the Kneeboard Builder Menu. I have two addons, the Bf 109 and the Huey, but i cant select them. Does anyone maybe know a solution?

@McMicha wenn ich das Spiel beim laden anklicke sagt Windows dass DCS nicht reagiert und dann kann ich das Spiel entweder schließen oder auf eine Antwort des Programms warten. Allerdings passiert nichts wenn ich zweiteres anklicke.

Also wenn ich DCS auf Steam starte dauert es ungefähr 15 sekunden bis ich im Startmenü bin.

Ich glaub das brauch ich nicht, weil es ja jetzt läuft. Ich warte einfach bis der Ladebildschirm zu Ende ist ohne mit der Maus zu klicken und dann hab ich keine Probleme. In dem Logs Ordner hab ich auch nur noch alte Logs vom alten Betriebssystem.

Also wenn ich warte und nicht mit der Maus klicke funktionierts, sobald ich einmal während des Ladens den Bildschirm anklicke stürzt das Spiel sofort ab. Ich benutze eine SSD und die Ladezeiten sind nicht allzu lang und das Spiel läuft auch flüssig. Ich hab übrigens die Steam Version. Danke für die Antworten und die Begrüßung.

Seitdem ich mein Windows neu installiert habe hängt DCS sich auf, sobald ich versuche eine Mission zu starten. Ungefähr bei der Hälfte des Ladebalkens bekommen ich die Meldung, dass DCS nicht reagiert. Wenn ich meine zwei Addons (Bf-109K4 und UH-1H Huey) neu installiere, funktioniert es beim ersten Mal und manchmal ein zweites Mal. Dann passiert wieder dasselbe und das Spiel hängt sich auf. DCS habe ich schon dreimal neu installiert und auch via Steam eine Fehlersuche gemacht, die das Problem nicht behoben hat. Ich benutze Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit.

I have the same problem with the modules Bf-109K4 and UH-1H Huey. I´m using 1.5.2 on steam and DCS just freezes when i try to start a mission. It worked after reinstalling the modules, but when i closed the game and started it again, the loading screen froze again.
