Hey Sleeara, as I already said on Youtube, that is one of the coolest homepits I've seen so far. I've seen a lot and I've also seen the "Black Box" Pit from sergeij. But I like yours the most! as I wrote...we are just dreaming and no reason to take that serious :) all you wrote is true. I guess many DCS users are not aware that ED is also producing those sims for real military simulations which we take an advantage from. So again: Thanks ED for that god piece of software :) I am wondering why it is so difficult to get the impression of height in DCS. imagine to fly the huey in that scenery. ive seen an EDGE vid some time ago. Damn that looked oldfashioned already. well DCS and outerra will be a dream. we can just hope that ED is already planing and working on a better cg engine. I wish outerra and DCS would come together...sigh cheers Demon

Hehe, yes you are completely right. The NVA had that rank. But in the German military this rank it is called Leutnant. Thats exactly my thoughts. Well on the other hand we havent seen outerra with buildings and stuff. Most buildings have 8 to 16 polygons so that should not be an issue. But the immersion of height is extreamly great compared to what we have right now...I love the way you feel the height. In DCS that is almost impossible...especially in the Huey it seems you are going under sea level whilst landing. I push the collective lever always too early, coz I think i am already landed :(:doh:. I am wondering what the outerra license would be. But we can wish as much as we want, as long as it doesnt fit in the company philosophy, we wont get it...I believe it is just as simple as that... well, I also love our DCS but Outerra is way better than the engine in DCS. If you only compare the mountain with the pyramid mountains in DCS:(:music_whistling:...Does anyone know the reason why ED has choosen the EDGE engine? Hi there, first of all: F... AWESOME Add on. I really really enjoy flying it. But I am wondering if the pedals function correctly. I expected the Huey to spin along the y-axis by pressing one of the pedals to its full strength. Is it normal that it stops spining horizontal after lets say 45° ? LOL...Kuky you got me on that one. Your right, the different atmospherical situations in DCS are really great and I often go like: awwww thats just awsome how the sun gets through the clouds. The only thing which could be really better are the pyramid like mountains. They really could need a bit of pollishing and higher meshdetail. But hey, I have no clue what so ever is possible with the GE we have right now so thats just whining on a high level :) At the end I am a DCS loverboy and there is no simulation which can compete right now :) Cheers Demon

Thats true. But I won't promote an engine which I just started programming. There are so many other ready to go engines one could have choosen from. I mean the GE from DCS is not that bad, just a lil old fashioned. Look at the Arma III engine or the Battlefield engine and Cryteks Cryengine. So many possibilities. Sure you have to get the license for it and I have no idea, how much that would be. But thats why too off topic. But thanks for sharing your thoughts! Cheers Demon

Ah I c. Cool and thanks for the info! Caucasus gets slowly but surely boring...we need more support from ED to build our own terrain. That way we would be much faster in developing differnet theaters. Edge is in the pipeline for how long? 4 - 5 years by now? shhheeeeeshhh will it ever be released? On the other hand I am pretty satisfied with what I got so far. So please don't consider my statement as whining. After all the happyness before getting something is so most pleasent one :) Cheers Demon

Well I found another translation error in the German Version of DCS:World. In Logbook: The pilots rank is called Unterleutnant. This is no real military rank. The correct rank has to be Leutnant and the next rank is Oberleutnant! Would be nice to see that corrected as well. Many Thanks in Advance Cheers Demon
