  1. Thanks for your reply rick66. However, it's not a case of confusion over which Q-code is what. Staying with Nellis as an example (which means we're talking US units): In the mission editor you can set QNH (default is 29.92). Let's say I leave it at 2992. I jump into the cockpit and my altimeter (set to 2992) shows my altitude at Nellis AFB to be 1600 ft. As GIVME5W pointed out, it should read 1850 ft. That's what's confusing.
  2. Not that I'm going to be any help to you, GIVME5W, but I thought I can at least let you know that you're not alone. I'm having the same problem. Quite regularly I get different wind directions, wind speeds, and barometric pressures from the ones I set in the mission editor. I know that weather is basically unpredictable, but that's why we have a simulator, right? :smilewink:
  3. There's a priority system in place that goes from the center pylon outwards. That means that if you want to only jettison your inboard stores after you've already jettisoned your center pylon, the center pylon will have to be switched back to the OFF position on the ARMT POSITION SELECT panel, before you can jettison the inboard ones. Later, if you want to jettison the outboard ones, the inboard and center pylons will have to be OFF, etc. If the center pylon is still attached, you can of course jettison the inboard pylons straight away. Also, if the center pylon is still attached and you've jettisoned the inboard stores already, you could leave the inboard pylons in the ON position and then jettison the center pylon, because of the priority circuitry. However, if you wanted to jettison the outboard pylons instead, nothing would happen, because the trigger would still go to the inboard pylons. Hope that makes some sense.
  4. Had the same issue in 2.2.0.12448 today. After some digging found that all I had to do was remove "./Saved Games/DCS.openalpha/MissionEditor/" folder. Couldn't quite work out what the actual cause of indigestion was, but it worked and I could keep pretty much all my settings intact.
  5. Thanks Rudel. Thanks bbrz. This was the info I was looking for :) : Have a merry Christmas y'all.
  6. Hope I'm not hijacking this thread, but I think my question is sort of directly related: How long do I need to push the "Start" button? Is it just a momentary push? Do I hold until I introduce throttle? Do I hold until N1 is up to x%? Anybody in the know? Would be appreciated. Cheers
