My landings started to be succesful when I started to ignore ILS. It's a good marker of general direction but I noticed that if I concentrate more on maintaining airspeed, everything else sorts itself out. :joystick:

Any way to turn this align completely off? I keep dying and dying in campaigns and always waiting for minutes is a bit of frustrating.

Ok, thanks a lot for the info. The main issue with throttle - that I forgot to mention in previous post - is that it's starts taking effect only at when then the lever has moved about 25 % up. But I reckon I better buy a real throttle anyway. :joystick:

Any way to fix the raw values in my joystick. See attached gif. As you can see, the raw values are missing in the extreme positions, yaw is not centered and throttle works inverted. Can I swap the pots and sensors or adjust them in any way? With calibration and tweaks the stick is usable, but this is still disappointing performance in the stick sensors.

Played around in mission editor and put up a mission where (unarmed) planes are heading directly at me at different altitudes. Helped a lot in illustrating radar usage. Found out just how narrow the radar cone can be at ranges less than 50 km. :thumbup: I'm going to expand this mission with planes heading in different directions and see how that goes. :joystick:

I'm also having radar trouble in Fortress Mozdok mission 2. Or I'm just no getting something. :noexpression: At some point I start getting contacts on my HDD (3 total). I assume they come via datalink from AWACS (open ended triangle). But despite heading straight to them, I can't get a radar lock until the range is below 20 km and then they start jamming me. After that at about 10 kilometers I can get a few pot shots at them and then they blow me out of the sky. I have tried altering the radar elevation angle and using HI PRF mode (I assume it's better for targets coming at you), but still no luck. AWACS tells that at least one fo them is roughly at the same altitude. E: Downloaded Tacview and somehow I got the scale wrong, it was much greater than 20 km. :music_whistling: HDD scale works like scale in maps, the line under the number represents 20 km when display is set to 20?

I have been thinking to get a 32" display with 2560x1440 resolution. It would give a nice increase in viewable area from my current 24" display and the amount of pixels would not need the most expensive gpu on the market. Also, they come in the price range of ~500 EUR.

I recently started learning DCS with Flaming Cliffs 3 and I ordered a Defender Cobra M5 through Amazon. I'm having a bit of problem with rudder and throttle. Eg. raw values show that throttle only moves in range of 25 - 100 %. Although calibration fixes the throttle, is it still normal? Another problem is with the twist or rudder, which isn't centered. Should I contact Amazon for a new unit this or is this normal behaviour or can I somehow fix this myself? E: Also about ~5 % dead zones on noth ends of X and Y -axis.
