Thanks, I'll be honest, it took me a couple tries to where the AAA didn't kill me immediately or make it impossible to land. I didn't actually realize one of the blades were gone until after I landed. Turned out nice though.

'ZU'prise I decided to make a mini-film. You can view it here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=175299

Just a mini-film I decided to make. Apologies for the framerate in certain areas. I had most of the settings as high as they could go for better quality.

Yeah, I really enjoy his music. Glad that I got direct consent to use it in the video. (Even though I didn't need direct consent)

Yup you guys are all right, proximity is bugged and I should have been dead many times. But hey, I'll take it for now until it gets fixed.

Here's a video I put together showing me in the Mirage against a Su-27. I'll begin by saying that I'm not an excellent dogfighter (or video editor) as I am usually flying either helos or ground pounders. I just thought this is a decent way of showing how important situational Awareness is. Also shows how well the Mirage can counter aircraft like the Su-27.

Alienware X51 R2 Graphics Card Upgrade
RoyalOneOne replied to kramfiftysix's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Graphics cards will rarely upgrade the visuals in DCS. Of course if you are going from a low end GPU it will help. I run a GTX 970 and the "4" (3.5+0.5)GBs of VRAM helps quite a bit, especially with my triple monitor setup. DCS uses mostly the CPU. That being said, chichlidfan is correct and you want as much VRAM in the GPU as you can afford. Depending on your CPU, if you can, I would suggest overclocking it, even if it's just a slight bit. This will help quite a bit. -
I agree, it has to be the best sounding jet out of all the modules!

What monitor size and resolution do you use ?
RoyalOneOne replied to SandMartin's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
21" Aveis 1080p (cheap department store brand) + 2 NEC 19" 1280x1024 - surround I miss using my 42" LG but I'm using it in another room :( -
I'm not exactly sure if it'll work with in cockpit switches. The only reason though I can think of it not working some switches require right mouse clicks while others require left click. If you're talking about a dedicated Helios screen (without any in game video) it will work. I actually used to use a touchscreen as a fourth monitor with a custom made Helios profile for the huey. It lowered my fps too much (I had a gtx 760 at that time). I should hook it up again though since I still have the screen laying around, I'm kind of getting short on desk space though. It appears to be only 1600 x 900 though. I would suggest more so going with at least a 1920x1080, higher or better yet 21:9 monitor without the touchscreen capability. This however is solely my opinion.

Great! I figured you guys would have had that fixed pretty quick. I just didn't see a post about it. I figured I would post it just in case. Great work guys!

Pics ebabil, here are some pics. Sorry about the somewhat bad quality but hope this helps side note: middle monitor is an Aveis, you probably will never find this brand but if you do, stay away, it was just really cheap for me at the time. However, the NEC monitors are great. The 41 in the bottom right of the second pic and the 117 in the last is the fps, though it is in a single player setting with no AI at all.

Having a gtx970, a 21" 16:9 and 2 19" 4:3 monitors, I say it is well worth it. Unlike what razo+r said, it runs it pretty well. I am usually getting between 30-90 fps depending on the server I am in. The extra peripheral vision is a huge advantage, especially combined with Track IR. My graphic settings are as follows: SORRY - DON'T KNOW WHY IT DOUBLE POSTED

I just wanted to say thanks to you guys at Polychop for the gazelle. She is a tricky one but very satisfying to master. I also wanted to say, it is amazing to see you guys answering forums posts as much as you do. No other 3rd party Devs seems to interact with the community as much as you guys. Great work!
