Hi all I'm hoping someone can help me with this query. I've been told that I should remove the ability for players to auto-recover to a new aircraft when they are killed. However, I can't find the option to do it... Also, I'd like to turn of the HUD display that appears when you look left/right in the cockpit. Again, I can't find that setting! Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi - thanks for the reply. Ok - so a standard 1u server's not going to have the necessary gpu in it for Lockon. My server provider therefore will be unable to rent me anything. If any of the other Lockon server operators could advise me how they've got themselves up and running I'd be most grateful. What hardware are you using? Where is your server hosted from? Clearly, I can't personally host a server, since broadband provision in the UK is pathetic, with ridiculously low upload speeds. Thanks in advance.

Hi all I'm trying to get a Lomac "dedicated" server running with my existing game server provider (Multiplay UK). We've installed Lomac, FC, and 1.12b. I've tweaked the graphics.cfg to force windowed mode and the necessary low graphics settings. However, when I launch the game, it takes 100% of the processor and effectively hangs the server making it unresponsive. The server is XP SP2, P4 dual-core 2.8 with 1GB RAM. It's on their core network so network speed is not an issue. Any advice on what might be causing it to take 100% utilisation would be gratefully received!

Yeah - I remapped the keys from the defaults. I'll have a go at tweaking the view.lua file - thanks for the tip. I did try moving my head btw, but it didn't work! When I got my head (and view) the way I wanted, and pressed the centre view (default F12), it snaps back to the view I didn't want! Thanks again for the tips - will try them!

Hi all Hopefully this is an easy one (I've searched and not found anything) .. I play with a TrackIR. Whenever I press F12 to re-centre the display (or more often when the TrackIR fails on me and I have to use the hat button!), I find the default zoom is too close for my liking. For example, on the A10, I can't see anything below the ADI (I like to be able to see my HSI too). So - is there a config setting somewhere to make my default view in the cockpit slightly further away from the cockpit instruments. Thanks in advance for any advice. Regards epoch

Update: Sorted. Someone at simhq gave me the link to the web archive (the same one goldsierra2 posted above). The other guy said it worked. I tried unzipping it again - this time using XP Compressed Folders extractor instead of WinRAR - and it worked! Looks like WinRAR doesn't like this .zip archive. Golfsierra2 - were you using WinRAR ? Anyway - sorted. Server up on HL soon hopefully, assuming the server spec is up to scratch. Cheers!

Regarding Dedmac - I've PM'd Coldcrew and emailed patriotsuck and had no response from either. I'll try saltynuts at simhq - but if anyone else can assist, then I'd be grateful. Thanks !

Ah cool. But if you open your canopy sooner, you can hop out and get a nice cup of tea :thumbup:

You can repair also. Not sure of exactly how, but I've found that if I park up, turn engines off, open the canopy and wait for about 3 minutes my damage is repaired.

Hi all. I'm enjoying LOMAC more and more, and now there's about 10 of us who regularly play online. We're already making custom missions, and having a great time. Currently, one of us will host the mission and the others will connect to that through Hyperlobby. Obviously, that's not an idea solution: Question #1 - is there a dedicated server utility for LOMAC? I've seen mention of something called 'dedmac' but the page it referred to is unavailable. Question #2 - some of my friends have created skins, or have downloaded addons. Is there any way that these can be seen by other players in networked games? For example, I've installed the flashing nav lights addon, but nobody can see them! Ah, I think I understand! So if I'm on a mission and I take off from 'A', then pressing 1 twice will put me in return mode to that airbase, then pressing 1 again will activate ILS mode for the approach? I'll have a look at the flankertraining.com stuff too (when I can get away from family duties long enough to have a game!!).

Hi I bought LockOn and FC a few weeks ago. I love a game with a steep learning curve, so this is right up my street! I've been into Microsoft Flight Sim for many years so I understand the principles of flight etc. I'm just concentrating on the A10 at the moment, and I've got the basics of takeoff/landing and weapons pretty much sorted. The one thing I honestly don't understand is the NAV mode. I've been playing on some of the 'instant action' missions. I understand that pressing tilde (~) will cycle through waypoints. Fair enough. But what I don't understand is what pressing '1' repeatedly is cycling through? I've done the A10 training missions and I don't recall it being explained. Any advice would be appreciated.
