  1. Greetings I am looking for some help because DCS black screens and never loads. If anyone has any work arounds or input Id appreciate it.
  2. Thank you for your understanding in what I have said and stated. I appreciate it. You seem very down to earth. Can you friend me on here?
  3. F-14 B or D, FA18C, FA18E/F, AH1W or AH1Z, S-3B Viking, H-60F or H-60R, H-60H or H-60S. Would pay top dollar for good modules released within a respectable period. Additionally, It would probably help things if the DCS crew started advertising in Aviation magazines and at Air Shows.
  4. All Hail the Booty Hunters!
  5. VF-31, VF-32, and VF-111. Although I was in VF-32 it never was a show and tell paint scheme but I still have a place for it in my heart.
  6. Darkbrother, you could guide the winder to a target using the TCS in SEAM. Obviously this only slaved the seeker to the TCS, you couldn't make in flight adjustments. Kludo
  7. B and D had tarps pods Okie, I wouldn't waste time modeling it, and the pod needed for targeting for the B and the D is already used in the game. As for anyone who disagrees or doesn't like how I put forth my thoughts, Id ask that you focus on the message not how it was delivered, Shakespeare I am not. I hope you all have a wonderful day :)
  8. Dark you are correct my bad, Youd think with as many hours Ive spent around the bird Id of caught that. The F14B UPGRADE did not have the B+! Nice eye!
  9. How hard is it to make a B+ or D model. Very very few differences. Ultimately DCS and the few product managers kind of fail at getting these products to the cash paying folks. At some point more life blood as in money comes in or this stuff dies. Bottom line. Better start marketing.
  10. Punk, Im sorry the NATOPS didn't have the dimensions you needed. If you can find one of the maintenance manuals called an Illustrated parts break down, it should help out. The only other thing I guess you could do is do a search of your area for museums with cockpits or simulators. I know the one at my base has a roll around Tomcat pit that you can climb into. Maybe you could visit one of the museums and ask if you can take measurements? The last three museums I remember having Tomcat pits are at NAS Patuxent River Naval Aviation Museum, Norfolk Aviation Museum, NAS Pensacola Naval Aviation Museum, and whatever the name of the Aviation museum in DC is called. I know lots of museums have them those are just the ones Ive been to that I remember seeing them.
  11. It looks like the poly set for a runway with a break in it.. showing its not modeled properly.

    Active duty

Any other active or active reserve folks around? US Navy active here. Any country chime in.
  13. Most Tomcat instruments are fairly common with other Grumman products. Edit Guy above me already answered.
  14. You could try looking through the NATOPS. Some of them will give you a description with measurements for some things. If that doesn't tell you, you could try doing a parts search for a tomcat illustrated parts break down or IPB. Heres a link I found for a NATOPS https://publicintelligence.net/u-s-navy-natops-f-14-tomcat-flight-manuals/
  15. The doors open on the first indent of the gun trigger which also turns on the hud camera. Second indent fires the gun.
  16. Ive been there several times, everytime we do work ups (as an airwing) for deployment we go there a couple of times as part of our work up cycle. There isn't a whole lot to do, but the training is good and always a good time.
  17. Thank you for the info, Fallon is only about 266 mi from Nellis. During Red Flag, they usually stage some of the assets at Fallon. Naval Air Station Fallon or NAS Fallon (IATA: NFL, ICAO: KNFL, FAA LID: NFL) is the United States Navy's premier air-to-air and air-to-ground training facility. It is located southeast of the city of Fallon in western Nevada in the United States. Since 1996, it has been home to the Naval Fighter Weapons School (TOPGUN), and the surrounding area contains 240,000 acres (97,000 ha) of bombing and electronic warfare ranges. It is also home to the Naval Strike and Air Warfare Center (NSAWC/NAWDC), which includes TOPGUN, the Carrier Airborne Early Warning Weapons School (CAEWWS) and the Navy Rotary Wing Weapons School. Navy SEAL Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) training also takes place here. The airfield is named Van Voorhis Field in honor of Lieutenant Bruce Van Voorhis (1908-1943) who was awarded a posthumous Medal of Honor.
  18. Is NAS Fallon represented in this DLC? Its where NSAWC (TOPGUN) is at now, and also VFC-13 (F5E's) are there.

    Tomcat Ordy

Paradox - it would be easy to slap anything you want onto that airframe. However integration with existing systems Id be surprised, not much more I can say about that.

Im really not sure how they would accomplish this. The AWG 9 was only one piece of the puzzle. I guess you could do it, but it would have to interface with the CADC, AWG15, and some other systems that you just cant plug right into.

Probad, Sure ill look it over .... looks like a lot of messages there so it'll probably take me a few to read through, but I'll add what I can. Loaded the weapon hundreds of times but only saw six shot while I was in 'cats. R/ Kludo

Very forgiving as in once you got it flying it didnt like to stop. Had its issues needed maintenance but even up until its retirement it would fly 6 to 9 hour sorties.
