Yes I agree, the guys I fly with mostly trained together after round5 to improve. It worked. Its just you cant train the guys in those tactics while they are already flying in blueflag. -

Yes, I know and it can be very deadly, but when you have people who don't call foxes, and fire on the same target - one firing ET (which would be going in) the other fire an ER ... well the target will not go down and it happened so often :C There's a lack of tactics, I guess it is just a thing of practice and training. A GCI cannot micro manage all of that, which some may have needed to be done. I was even micromanaging missile defenses for fighters at times. -

I dont get it, everyone rips their wings off. I keep my plane mostly within the limits. Just hammer in your head NEVER to bank and pitch at the same time, if you're over 1000kph and you'll be good :D That is also one lil thing that makes it unbalanced because F15 can just pull 12G willy nilly and be fine ... but ED had to make the Su27 more fragile as it already is. It really becomes an issue when defending missiles. But you can still win against 120Cs by doing big barrel roles. [ame] [/ame] -

Actually we never had people in our channel not being able to communicate with eachother. It's only that some are communicating amongst themselfes in their native language ... which is quite annoying, WHEN it happens. (sry guys but it really confuses the **** outta me hearing two different languages at the same time while focussing ^^) tl;dr in red most speak english and the russian keep to themselfes. I guess we are not slav enough ;_; -

I think it is also because we have a lot of inexperienced guys in Red flying the 27 and the 29. Plus, as you said AFs like maykopp -> vody is just that plains. To support strike packages you gotta be close and cant hide in the mountains 60km away from them. If you dont like to be on the ground, why do see blue most of the time in the weeds? Occasionally you see a HiLo-pair or an astronaut, but most was med-low altitude. -

I think the going a certain time period is kinda pointless, DCS doesn't allow for any balance that way, because of a lack of assets on everyside. If we change to a time period where there are no KA50 or Gazelles or blah would be stupid, we'd lose all of those pilots on both sides. Well, if all the sides had flankers and f15s it would be like basically just like airquake? The language barrier is less of a problem. You just have to accept that some are not speaking it well or with heavy accent, and the russians usually dont communicate at all, if you dont speak russian. The time is still the biggest issue with blue being mostly americans. If that were offset so that it is balanced throughout the day ... that'd be great. I would just propose this : - Less fuel from fuel drops, MAKE TRANSPORT HELIPILOTS GREAT AGAIN! - 27ER / 27T - OR - 27R/27ET ... Yes, it might be an advantage either way but not as big as to be a deal breaker IMO. I'd be for 27ERs -

Wow ... you go to bed and red still had most of PAK1 you wake up and its all over. Well, the running against the wall with our heads has finally ended. I would love to see the refuel runs being put back into the game as a major concern for both sides. Or the amount of fuel that a transport AI plane drops significantly reduced. Just to clarify, a transport drops 5000fuel and a spawn costs 50fuel, right? -

Does anyone here understand the concept of asymetric balancing? Any of you ever played Starcraft? Balance DOES NOT mean everything is the equal on both sides. Balance means you can effectively counter your opponent. "Balance is impossible to achieve and that it's pointless to even try", is such an idiotic statement... my god the facepalm. I guess by the same logic we should tell journalists that true objectivity is impossible and they should not even bother to begin with. -

That would be a start, but I see one big problem with that: Let's say both teams have all fighters in the air, that leaves red with only a handful of other assets, while blue can go all out on helis and strikers. So it does not change the current overall dynamic at all I'm afraid. Without force multipliers for the su27 like datalink it will still be a very unbalanced fight even when you have 12v12. And before anyone brings up 'its a simulation, not everything needs to be balanced hurr durr' please take a step back... The fact that this game is all but realistically simulated on the part of the SU27 and its avionics just invalidates your argument completely. I mean come on ... no squad datalink, no datalink to the ER and ET missiles? Even, when it was one of the key features of this plane? So until those aspects have not been fixed this "but balance is unrealistic" is just an invalid argument. It is a game and it is not balanced for a fair fight. How often does your reallife experience lagspikes that your missile goes stupid? Personally, I'd be ok if placable EWRs give SU27s the datalink that it should have. This would balance the superior missiles of the F15 with the upgraded situational awareness of the SU27. -

My advice for you is to re-read my post aswell, particular the 'your team' part. Don't know how you confuse that with you being adressed directly. What fight, the spamming of 4x120 in TWS on one target, then doing a turn tail and run? You can do that with bags on. Seen it so much on GCI. Yes I know, I can do simple math. This advantage, however, shrinks to nil if the numerical disadvantage is 1:3 or 1:2. Fighting against 3:1 odds is basically pointless no matter how good your teamplay is. -

Which failings are you talking about? The fact that F15s can just rearm with 3 bags and take off within a 1 minute? I don't see how saving 3 minutes on the ground reflects on the skill of the pilot. Your argument doesn't follow at all, and before you comeback with 'oh but you exploit the game and therefore you must suck' let me shut you up with your team calling for model enlargement(crutch), and thinking that using leavu3(unbelivably huge crutch) is just fine. Don't go there.
