  4. Simple jokes / memes trying to make some light of the current situation are getting deleted too? I do not have normandy nor do I have any WW2 stuff nor do I plan on getting on the WW2 train. So BF Caucasus is my only fix. The lack of humour disturbs me.
  5. Thing is that are maaaany EWRs, every airbase has one. If that is actually a cause for lag ... bad @Ciribob A suggestion yet again ;) Maybe remove the EWRs on the airfields - they are only there to have the AI intercept script working correct? The whole "X has detected Y" messages. Since AI is not working at the moment anyways ... why not remove that aswell? Reduces unit count and possibly some load of the server aswell. I think announcements when something is being attacked are enough anyways.
  6. So my question, would be: if the lag is reduced to a satisfactory level, would you then consider turning DL on again to see if it actually does create more lag? And depending on how good or bad it turns out to be leave it on? Another question, how come DL is not working when there are EWRs on each airbase as part of the SAM defense? I was wondering about this for quite a while. All SAM groups have one 1L13 in their group which is the same unit that is used for enabling DL. What is this sorcery? :huh:

  8. Just a ping limiter would go a long way. I have the 104th network thingy in my DCS since way back when. The actual problem would be people who join the server totally ignorant of this thread and the lag issues in general. Those will not have any knowledge of the network tweaks.
  9. Not going to swallow anything without giving my oppinion or feedback about it. Right now there is tons of lag, should we be silent and not give any feedback about it? Giving some suggestions along the way to for example reduce unit count by removing some airfields, seems very reasonable to me. It does not mean that Ciribob is going to do that. That is on his own discretion. Always has been and prolly always will be. It would be nice to be able to use all our toys (DL) for a change. The question in this regard is and has always been "why do we have to fight with one arm tied to our backs?"
  10. Not everyone uses SRS, but the vast majority uses TS, if GCI is not on TS - OR - SRS => kick
  11. Sogalug isn't a base any more, but Vaziani is certainly possible. My guess would be Vaziani, Nalchik, Anapa and Krasno-C. Those should reduce the unit count.
  12. Well, the server just crashed with about 40people on it just after a restart. Also others reported pretty heavy lag before the restart. Might be caused by the increased unit count? People report SA6 and SA11 on samsites. Might be a bit too much? :/
  13. Yesterday I experienced the first CTD's in ages when the server was very populated. Always in the SU27. My guess is having more than 50 people is the biggest cause for lag at the moment.
  14. I guess airquake became a bit stale maybe? The odds tho are a bit ridiculous. 6:1 for blue. Also Blue flying mostly M2kC.
  15. Simple, when I fly the M2KC the radar stays off until fence in/nose hot command this is only if the range to the AO is big. Once I approach the AO I never turn my radar off (except for rear aspect dog chases) because even with a GCI I need the SA. In the SU27 this is even more of a problem. If you only fly in EOS you get way less data, in the previous rounds I learned not to trust my EOS in BVR. You know to be stealthy and shit. It never worked out except in the mountains or on ambushes with flanking or cold aspects. Those are rare on the frontline tho. If the F15 sees you already there is no point of turning off your radar anymore.
