LAN speed settings were recommended for 1.2.6. and earlier. LAN is ok if you only have a few players on, but not recommended for servers like the 104th/51st with 30 or so people on. I haven't used LAN since 1.2.6, neither has anyone I fly with, simply because it causes Connection Interrupted issues. I look forward to reading what connection speeds others are flying with, as there seems to be differing opinions on this subject, but a quick search of the forums backs up my info. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=121091&highlight=connection+speed

Check your connection speed is set to 1024 or 2048 and not set to LAN. Also, if you have been using TARS, make sure it is disabled in Teamspeak PlugIn settings. Just a thought, as this will result in Connection Interrupted too.

My advice to new people or people that are bored with flying air - air only, join a squadron. Even if they aren't flying on one of more popular servers like 104th or 51st, they probably have their own mission going on. Those servers you see that are passworded are sometimes training flights for their own squadrons. Also find one that flies at the times that match yours. I have just returned to flying after a 5 year gap. Rejoined the 51st and yes we were flying last night in a 3 ship in the 51st server. Being part of a good squadron, having Teamspeak 3 is an absolute must for online flying. Otherwise yes, I could see how it would get boring. Single ship, no TS3, lower SA. Easy target for a well coordinated squadron. http://www.51st.org/
