    Oculus, HUD

Hi, I don't exactly know from when(~2 weeks ago) but the HUD is not working in the Mig-21 in the Rift. I was flying it every day and from one day to another it was gone. Real bug or something is not ok at my end?
  2. Ah, this was what I'm looking for, thanks :)
  3. Hi, Is there a summary of round 9 rules somewhere? If not could you create one? (Preferably on your own forum as a non-commentable sticky thread). P.s.: Of course I'm on vacation now when it is starting... :D
  4. Hi, The suggestion is quite simple: make FC3 cockpits clickable as in VR it can be quite hard to find the keys on the keyboard. I don't mean make it A-10C detailed just to make certain buttons clickable like flaps, gear, radio volume, lights etc. so what functionality is already there but on keys(no need for MFD in F-15) and I think most of the animations are already there. Step 0 (fast solution) could be to add a GUI panel(toggleable) with tabs, buttons, sliders etc. to control these stuff. I know it is not as easy as it sounds but I think most part of the work is already done.
  5. Good to know but my main problem is the "oculus sandtimer" then the game freezes(for ~0.2sec) and it really kicks you in the brain in VR, low fps is unpleasant but not a real issue for me. I have 16GB of RAM too but I run the game from a 5200rpm HDD maybe it is not loading the map to the memory in time... I will try it with an SSD(However the game should not freeze when it doesn't have the assets). Actually I didn't have this freeze problem without VR so I don't think this is the issue but worth a shot. So the question is does anyone have this lag/freezing/sandtimer issue? Off topic: Hopefully they can optimize it as you don't see that far in VR so probably LOD threshold can be reduced. And some smart scaling would be nice to see instead of model enlargement: after a distance it is enough to render the plane as a dot and as it is further it could fade out to somewhat emulate real seeing - further -> harder to spot.
  6. Hi, I have similar config GTX 970, i7 4790, CV1 etc.. I try to play with 1.3 PD as on 1.0 I can't read the HUD(A-10C). Config is on minimum, textures are on high otherwise the cockpit is ugly. My problem is when I look at my "6" the render needs to catch up and I look at a black void for 0.5 sec(not always but often) and I see the oculus sandtimer very often(like in every 10 sec and it causes a "micro" lag ~0.2sec). I somewhat adapted to it but it is so bad sometimes(usually in multiplayer) that it is too much. Others said they are fine using the 970 so I'm wondering if they don't talk about this problem or something is wrong with my config. Any idea what can be the problem? I see the sandtimer in other games too but rarely. GTX 970 overclocked but the results were the same without overclocking. Temps are fine my PC is "overcooled".
