  2. I am thinking she is very sea worthy. What do you think?? :thumbup: Racer:"Well here she is boys in all her glory! This completes all the detail pieces she will have and man does she have detail. I have figured out how to get a landing light system working where we will now even be able to "CALL THE BALL"! Remember, this was a 3 MILLION! polygon model and what you see here is ready......46,345 polys!! WoooHoo! With 95% of this thing that gray 8x8 texture, she should have some great FPS. We will now add the deck details until we all feel the FPS is in trouble. We need to find where that point is. I want to finish all the lights and catch wire animations next before the next beta release. I'll be away racing this weekend to this is as far as she will go until next week."
  3. Redtiger, since the aircraft are going over the 33, the aircraft will have the flight charicteristics of the 33.

  7. Yes spec, the idea is to have working catapults, elevators for the hangar and a few other new suprises for this baby.

  9. Ladies and gentlemen. The New Carrier model is underway. :thumbup: Racer:"Hey guys, I thought I would start up the CVN-69 carrier topic for our VNAO mod. I reality we can get the working horse part of this mod (the flight deck) up and running fairly quickly. Here is what I am proposing. In the first picture below, we have the Kuznetsov straight out of the game an into my 3D Studio max program. (Don't even ask.... ) And...in the second picture, we have the main CVN-69 deck with all of its great detail. The sizes of the boat decks are: Kuznetsov - 984' long 240' wide Nimitz Class: 1092' long 257' wide I will size our new deck using the Kuz as reference as I am assuming that they have the Kuz to the correct size in the game. This will create a carrier deck of the correct size and location off the water as a starting point. We can then start to f-14's off of it and adjust the fore - aft positioning to match up the catch wires exactly where we need them to be. It is a start and we can get this part of it done very quickly. I can maybe even give that deck full lighting if everyone plays nice. " Racer:"Well, here she is. The Kuz measured 33.8' per grid in my Studio Max. That made the CVN roughly 3 grids longer in length. Here is a picture of the comparison."
  10. Magnet, right now Racer is finishing the Super Hornet, then I would imagine he would move on to the Prowler. He also has a Super Carrier to do as well so stay tuned.

  12. Kuky, this mod will be allowed to be used by the public. There were certain things we had to agree with upon with Meshfactory but we were given permission to use the models and release to the public. Highway, so far discussion's are that it will go over the 33, so the plane will be carrier capable. But it is still early as Racer has not touched it yet as he is still finishing the Super Hornet, so we will see. Dimyan, these will be all freeware addons to lockon and will be intergrated into the game the best we can. We are doing all of this on our freetime and only wish to make the Naval aspect of Lockon better.

Vekkinho, we have spoken with the head guy of Meshfactory and he has explained everything we can and can not do with the models and we are given permission to model the aircraft to be used in game. Valery, they both look the same, except the one you posted has a more weathered paint scheme on it. Don't worry , Badger can do some amazing things. Highway, you never know what we will do next. :thumbup:

Ladies and gentelmen....I give you the EA-6B PROWLER!! (and there was much rejoicing) This plane will give us the jamming capabilities along with begin able to carry HARMS, fuel tanks and guns. This one is so cool I just might want to head this squadron up myself. "

  17. Eric, I am with ya on that one buddy. I am really waiting on the Super Hornet. Can't wait to take her for a spin. And Dimyan as stated they will be released when it is done, its still in the beta testing right now.
  18. Super Hornet update. Racer:"Well we have an F-18 update. I have finished texture mapping all of the major components. I will now start from the rear of the bird and work my way forward on the detail pieces. F-18F Super Bug Total Polygon Count: 13, 256"
  19. Well the fleet has her now and she is still going through her Beta Testing.

  22. Well, Racer has been hard at work and I have a list of updates. Racer:"Getting really close now mates. Just have the airbrake and nozzles left to go before she is ready to be placed into the game and sized up. Then Trooper can have at it with weapon placement. " Racer:"ALL STOP! I also have the 5 engine burner stages separated and on a separate map for greater detail. We want really nice burrner and burner cone texture details. " And Sir Trooper is working on new weapons for the aircraft as well.
  23. And not sure what all skins will be done for the Tomcat or other models. The sky is the limit though.
